This was the most dramatic test series I have ever seen live. What beautiful Cricket, but Archer was their backbone. He is just a shadow of his past self now. So unfortunate. One simple mistake can cost everything.
It was a great battle and I was worrying about smith. I wished he played the third test but I totally understand from the doctors to not recommend him to play the third test and glad he returned to 4th test got a double century. No doubt whatsoever that Jofra's got some serious wheels and an easy action which is repeatable, simple yet impactful. And having said that, Jofra's bowling can be taken on easily as there's not quite much of deception when it comes to his bowling arm as it is pretty much straight forward. On both occasions smith got hurt, he didn't watch the ball till the very last moment and just went on with the shot, once got hit on the left elbow and the next time the ball hit him on the backside portion of the neck thereabout. I know Smith has scored lots of runs but but can someone help him get a bit more side-on? He can't face these bowlers chest on. It reduces his reaction time and makes him prone to be hit. We don't want another tragedy. Help him please!!!!
One of the Iconic moments in the Test Match History.

Exciting and very talented bowler, loved watching him. Shame he'll probably never play test cricket again. Hope I'm wrong

Steve Smith ❤❤❤ just enough for whole England team
SPD Smith, one of the greatest champion player 🔥🏏🙌🏅
Archer has never got Smith out in a test, and considering his fitness and commitment looks like he never will! 😂😂
Injuries destroyed Jofra's career, otherwise he could be as great as the great Curtly Ambrose, as hostile, as lethal.

Smith would've easily scored 100 or 150 in that match if that unfortunate incident didn't happen with him the delivery from archer was very nasty
Even after the concussion, the next match he scored 200+. He was batting on god mode in the Ashes 2019.

Not really he wasn't consistent enough imo fast yes but couldn't hit line and length which made it easier for the batting side.
