after watching this movie so many times I think Toby actually is very much alive. He was just absorbed into the Peacekeeper and is probably passed out or something cause why else would Toby's hat survive but not him? I think they people who were making the movie had secret plans for an Astro boy 2 where it shows that Toby was very much a live Tenma and the other's were just so shocked that he wasn't there anymore but sense it didn't do well as they hoped they just let Toby be "dead" :/

Man, I wish you were right. I loved this series, but the probably that they would make another movie is just 0% at this point. It was released in 2009 and it is 2023. The creators lost hope in this series as most of the money comes from numbers of copies sold and marketing of this series. I still have hope for them, but not as much as when I first watched it as well.
