Dang dude! Sweet pipes! And if these instruments are live (as I think they are) you are one of the highest caliber musicians I have heard in this fandom yet!! (imho)
Great indeed. I still can't replicate the sort of squeek he does with his voice at the end. Especially stringing it together with a bunch of other strung together notes, and having his voice be more rough than clear.
This is still one of the greatest songs in the fandom, the emotion, story, pace.. everything just works perfectly.. I remember first hearing this years ago, as the first fan-made song from the fandom (For me) and just falling in love, also helping to introduce me to Princewhateverer, which, to this day, is a friendship I'm so glad has sparked. DB, Your music has helped me through alot, and probably countless others, and for that, I thank you. Keep on rocking man :D /)
In the odd chance you read this, I want to give you my express thanks for this beautiful work. I put it on my running ipod for my ruck run today. After nineteen miles with a forty pound pack, running in a foot of snow, when this song came on, it gave me the motivation to push to the end. I want to be an officer as badly as Dash wants to be a 'Bolt, and so I couldn't help but tear up just a little as well. Thank you man, and God bless.
This song is my all time favorite brony songs, and one of the first songs I heard upon joining the Brony fandom back in 2013. I also had the opportunity to hear this song played live at Bronycon 2015's Bronypalooza which made things 20% cooler.
I've been in this fandom for only a little more than a year. But when I saw that you were attending Galacon this year, I got so unbelievably excited because this song was my introduction to the whole brony thing and this community has turned my entire life on its head. I'm looking forward to hearing Prince and you play it, and singing every single word back to the both of you. Don't mind me if I cry a little bit too ;u;
I don’t know if you’ll see this but this is still my favorite song of all time after all these years and was the song that comforted me when I wanted to achieve a dream that took me a lot of work. To this day it inspires me and reminds me that life is beautiful. You’re an amazing musician and I hope you’re doing well 💖
Holy FUCK DUDE HOLY SHT!!!!! ITS BEEN LITERAL YEARS SINCE I HEARD THIS ....man I remember back when I used to jam to this working out in prep for boot camp crazy to think I got in deployed got out now as a civilian again have to honor of listening to this banger once more... I gotta save this mf so I don't loose / forget it again
This song is the ultimate tribute to the coolest bunch of pegasi ever known, and it's got that Blink 182 style of rock about it. Plus, the additional vocals are spot on perfect. Well done, my friend!
It hasn't even been a month into the new year, and this is already the third time I've been completely blown away by how freaking awesome brony music is just from this year alone. Goddamn, I bucking LOVE this fandom. No seriously though, this song is just amazing. 10/10, will listen to again and again and again, 20 more agains.
Funny you mention DT, because DT is one of my first and most biggest inspirations for playing bass and writing music. I've never even thought of counting them in as a musical inspiration to my music! Nice catch!
Man, why can't this be the stuff that has millions of views and gets it's deserved recognition instead of that main channels on the frontpage getting cramped with Justin Bieber and other shit.. nah they don't deserve to be called singers or artists. Seriously. It's people like you, Prince Whateverer and whoever I'm forgetting that deserve the front page. Keep up this amazing work, please.
I've listened to this track about a hundred times now, and it's so solid. I don't know why people are complaining about the spoken parts, it absolutely ties the song together.
This a a terrific song, it really is sad that I can only seemed to have started to discover other good brony songs so many years after they were publish.
It's even sadder to experience the decline of the brony musician side of the fandom first hand. The early days of MLP:FiM were really something special in terms of fan content, wow. Here's to a great G5. Keep this thing rolling until we drop dead! :)
PivotAnimator50, I don't know if this comment will ever be read by you (maybe because this freaking UA-cam is updating every five minutes and I can't find a "reply to this comment" button) but this song means a lot for me too... That because my dream is to become an Air Force pilot, and join an acrobatic team (my Italian PAN (Pattuglia Acrobatica Nazionale)), and maybe become an astronaut. So I understand you completely. Chase your dreams everyone! I voted this at the (now voting) Pony Awards 2013, even though it was a tough decision between this and "Just Like You" by Sproket... P.S. GO VOTE PONY AWARDS 2013.
So man how is this dream turning out dude, how much progress? Idk if you will read this but hope that you have sucess on you dreams and abitions cheers
After listening to everything you've uploaded I've come to one very simple conclusion: You sir, are awesome. Whatever it is you're doing, keep doing it.
And There's Prince Whateverer, struggling to hold up dBpony. Still think your Wonderbolt material dB? Just kidding, amazing song (my school just banned pony music in the halls, so I can't share it on my radio show, something about too many insensitive people) :(
I never thought that someone I only subbed to a month or so ago would have soared to the top among my favorite musicians this song is a true work of art, hell all of your songs are. Keep bein' awesome!
Very, VERY Well done. Great song! It gives me an irrepressible urge to watch Wonderbolt's Academy again. And then listen to this on loop for another hour.
I've listened to this a couple times now, and I can safely say I'll be blown away by the ending even when I listen to it a few decades later. You have a great voice man. :)
Thank you. As for playing more, DO IT! I had WAY too much fun, there.I hope I wasn't too loud. When I stand next to that bass, I can barely hear it, but if you move 20 feet away, it's all you can hear. Even after 20+ years playing that instrument I keep forgetting how loud it can be.
I heard you guys play this in Baltimare last weekend and I was so blown away when you started it. That was my first time hearing it and... this song is just so inspiring to everybody who has a dream, including me. Thank you
Hm... remastering this is not easy... but i will not give up... Its far to awesome of a song for it to fail due to some (in my opinion) mastering errors...
StinkingSkunk I think it has something to do with the gear used to listen to the music, as well as master it. Im using Audiophile Reference Class equipment for remastering, as well as listening to music in general. And using that, finding errors is quite easy. Im also happy to say, that i managed to improve the sound quality a bit, but not quite to my satisfaction. Well its kind of impressive what i managed to do, considering i used the MP3 to do it. If i had the original master track, things might be different, but as it stands. Now the only thing i need to do is work out the legals of what i have done, before i can upload the remaster to UA-cam. Its also cool that im not the only one to notice the errors as well.
***** I already did a remaster to the album version that took out glaring issues. I unfortunately don't have the original session file for this track, and so for the most part this is the only version of the track you will get. Also, you have to understand that I produced this track when I had a limited knowledge of audio production. I didn't know everything that would have made this track sound better. If I were to record this track today, I can say that without a doubt it would sound 100X better. As far as you remastering the track, I don't mind you doing that for your own educational purposes, but I'd really prefer it if you didn't release it publicly. I already have the fixed track for download on my album, and I'd like for people to support the song directly. Thank you for your feedback.
CookieSoupMusic I must ask, would you ever consider re-recording it? I absolutely love this song but am curious as to how it would sound with how you have furthered your knowledge in audio production.
StinkingSkunk I have thought about it. I think that if I were to do that, there would be people that would either really like it, or those who like the character of the original. That seems to always happen whenever a musician records an older track with newer production values. Either way, I have thought about it.
i've listened to this song for an hour and a half on repeat, manually, no fancy auto repeat for me, and i have to say this song is amazing and you did an unbelievably good fucking job making and recording it. thank you. /)
This is God-tier and the most amazing song to come from the Brony fandom. Well DONE Matt! :D
He has been in the fandom for years now XD
He has been in mlp fandom way before he even started reviewing bunch of other shows. In fact that's how his channel started
I love this song Awesome wonderbolts 🤩❤️⚡🎧
well said
I still have the Saberspark Top 25 MLP songs of Dec-12 saved. He goes way back, haha
It's amazing how the point of the song completely flies over everyone's heads. Pun very much intended.
Dang dude! Sweet pipes! And if these instruments are live (as I think they are) you are one of the highest caliber musicians I have heard in this fandom yet!! (imho)
Bro hoof
Brooooooooo this been 10yr ago ahhhhhhh im dead
Great indeed. I still can't replicate the sort of squeek he does with his voice at the end. Especially stringing it together with a bunch of other strung together notes, and having his voice be more rough than clear.
10 years...my how time flies, yet even after all these years this cover still soars high and carries that torch of inspiration.
"YES MA'AM!" Hey guys...yo hey guys...I was one of those voices...*squees*
I watch you now but I'm glad to see that you got your start in my favorite show
painfully average but he seems cool
wait why am I here?@@gregd1003
I thought Saberspark was a familiar name. What exactly was the channel again before cartoon reviewing?
driving my GMC while listening to this was the best thing I have did so far
This is just one of those unforgettable fandom songs no doubt
SHES FINALLY A WONDERBOLT
She is finally a wonderbolt captain :) S9 was freaking awesome
One downside of the Brony fandom:
My throat hurts from singing all your songs so much.
Going for brony nostalgia it's impossible to avoid seeing a comment by myotic
Who is he/she? Did he/she delete all her/his videos or something? Since i dont see anything on the channel.
How am I just now hearing this song? This is incredible!
Same

Again, GREAT music. Those little conversations with Spitfire and the academy really helped boost the story/music.
