Tramontina all day.Its 1075 steel just like the condors but way lighter. The 14 in. bolo version is a monster that you can swing all day no problem.Sometimes when you pay an extra $80 it's just to have the leather sheath and that cool look.
I'd say a very good choice. I have 2 or 3 of these mentioned machetes and they are really good, worthy of the money. The bushcraft parang is real beast. Big, sharp and heavy. Made for heavy copping. Be careful with this one, it could cause a nasty injury if accident should happen.
I appreciate this review. I am looking for a garden machete with a bit of length to chop and drop, cut down brush and old woody plants. This helped me narrow down my considerations. My hands are very small so a grip/guard is a primary concern. Thanks.
If you can afford it I definitely recommend that condor it has good weight But if your on a budget tramontina works really good also but the bolo machete is better
In the British Army in Central America we had the golock the blade is about 11ins long about 1/4 in thick that was the main issue but sometimes we get an 18 version of the Ontario it's been a while I don't remember the exact brand but we were in the rain forest and either of those work great just to clear space to camp at night or cut trail as we go though the thick jungle my only regret was not holding on to the survival MOD issued knife back then I'm still looking for one the Gurkhas had their kukri great original Nepalese made I walked away without getting one of those too that's also on my bucket list I don't think I would be able to buy an FN-FAL rifle like the ones we used so I'll just settle for the knives
I know that the kukri is used by the Gurka's as a fighting knife. I have personally seen it decapitate a goat with zero effort, I was deployed and they slaughtered it to eat. Very cool "knife"
The parang looks to be the only one shown heavy enough to cut heavy brush and not just grassy stuff. I've got a custom machete made out of a leaf spring and like that guy says, "it will cut." I wish i knew of a commercial machete that was as heavy and solid as a brush axe.
I used machetes everyday for work tramontina from Brasil is the best. I have 5 Condors and spent lots of money in other brands and nothing matches the tramontina the blade is supposed to be thin and light and for only 20 bucks is the best.
Super great video, new sub. I'm surprised the Jethro Machete didn't make your list. what are your thoughts on that machete I'm surprised the Jethro machete didn't make your list. What are your thoughts on that Machete

I knew it was a tramontina before you said the name and flashed it to the camera. The metal has a pleasant distinctive ring.

Tremontina for low, scrubby/twiggy brush? Thanks!

As far as machetes go Condor tool and knife is my go-to brand
I've broken 2 w/o prying
Cool, please show a few chops with eac.
Try a Lagaraw from the Philippines, it's a machete with a curve down hook for brush & vines.
If you can afford it I definitely recommend that condor it has good weight

Good content, half the machete reviews on here are computer generated garbage, but this is solid.

Great video and information
Can you do a video using them? Which one can you swing all day and does more of the work
ua-cam.com/video/ZyvkSKRYJ3Y/v-deo.html how to use golok for .....🤔
@@ifishjgja8414 I tried that technique, only a few fingers down and a couple broken windows, I think I’m getting the hang of it though.

It all depends

"if you were going to cleave someone's head off, this is the one you'd use..." ?!
To many to pick from there's hundreds
Like 227 Brazil
Mucho bla bla
That's why people don't like you.
