As a fellow Texan, in my town San Angelo, we also have a very historic street in town from the old west.. from a wild west restored bordello and saloon on the street that is/ was ( in the old days !) within walking distance from our famous old west cavalry fort , Fort Concho! It is such a pleasure to see and learn from all the unique and wonderful places in our world! I especially love the ancient and historical sites! Thank you, now I can see what my parents saw on their visit to London in 1969… what a groovy time London must have been then!
@@kimberlypatton205 I lived in Big Spring for 11 years. I loved going down to San Angelo. It's literally the only city in West Texas that I actually liked and miss! 😊😊❤️
I am so glad I found this channel!!! I have been binging your videos, they are fantastic! We are leaving from the US for the UK for a family vacation is 9 days!! Back in 2019 we stayed in Arundel and took the train to London and then drove to Liverpool...it was an adventure! BUT, we didn't get to spend enough time in London, so we are heading back to London, then Edinburgh and then Dublin. We can't wait and watching your videos have just been amazing and giving me some great tips for our visit. My son is a musician, drummer, for two local bands and just loves the history of music. He has seen The Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney in concert and I am going to surprise him with a tube trip to Soho after watching your video. Thank you so much for these wonderful videos!
You have no idea how much your videos keep me sane at work Sinead. They are so interesting and your voice is so relaxing! 😂. I love all your videos and so glad you're back for 2024! (I know this is an old video but your new ones are great too) Xx
The channel just keeps getting better and better. Amazing video. I almost felt as though I was there. Sinead your knowledge of the capital is amazing. Thank you so much for blessing us with such an informative and visual treat. I've been recommending your channel to anyone that's interested in the history of London. Absolutely loved the jungle café.So beautiful!! Big Harry Potter fan, every book and the movies, loved the shop!! I would spend so much money.haha..It’s so very busy there,a lot of hustle and bustle. Thank you for this wonderful video. Take care.❤️🇨🇦
Oh that's a great place to visit I love the circus and Piccadilly is great there is always Trafalgar square, my faves. But every place in London is a real treat. I think it is the most beautiful city in the world. And everyone so very friendly, I met some very sweet people there and we planned a trip to Niagara falls they wanted to see that so we met again in New York and we crossed into Canada together.i never get tired of the falls and we spent a week there and they were in awe of the falls
I did not want to shell out money on cabs, so we had the idea of using E bikes so that is what we did and at the circus I had the best steak and kidney pie I ever ate. A wild and fun filled time we had, I want to see more than want to have some adventure before I pass on, England is the best country for history.
@@ToursbyFootLondon your videos are all good, very good delivery they are good because there is history and lessons that can be learned there is a lot to share and for a lot of people they will never have the opportunity to travel like I had I want to see thru my very own eyes the beauty and history that countries have.

hello! i have never left my hometown of southwick but this video have helped me step outside my comfort zone and go somehwere else apart from southwick highstreet. What
Excellent video Sinead! Pity there wasn't time to cover CHINA TOWN which is within five minutes' walk of Piccadilly - at the end nearest to Piccadilly is the excellent Wong Kei's restaurant , where for the price of a McDonalds you get table service and freshly cooked wholesome Chinese food! Also Leicester square has a lot of street entertainers as well as film theaters. And if you don't mind a further walk of about five or so minutes, you get to Covent Garden with it's amazing market and kitch shops, not forgetting a large number of hugely talented street entertainers! Perhaps you could cover China Town, Leicester Square & Covent Garden in their own videos - all of them are rich with attractions & history! 😎🤠

Hi Sinead, going to london this weekend, will the pride parade 2024 affect sight seeing at places like Buckingham Palace?
Not at all
Trafalgar Square and Soho will most likely be the busiest areas but Green park through to Trafalgar on our Westminster tour should be perfect
Nice video
thanks for watching, Richard!
I think the mouse trap is the longest running play in London maybe you said longest running musical
I think your right should have said longest running musical

Stick around
I maybe doing a Bob Marley video soon
Piccadilly Circus was once claimed to be the The Broadway of London with ever building being lit up, now it's just a bad TV show. Isn't the Mouse Trap the longest show in the West end.
A bad tv show got us laughing, we can't lie. Yes, the Mousetrap is the worlds longest running play!
I like the Piccadilly Circus of the seventies when it was all sleazy and full of rent boys and drug addicts and dealers.
A few others in the comments have the same sentiments!
Kind of like Times Square back then
Times Square equivalent
Very true
Piccadilly Circus has been “vandalised” by this soulless modernity. The neon advertising was much more artistic. They can push their wackadoodle ideologies on the public with video screens. They couldn’t do that with neon lights.
An interesting thought!
Thats where the protest's are held.
Indeed!
Good lord food is expensive there. 20 pounds for fish and chips is just under $34 Canadian.
And only getting pricier :(
Be careful in Picadilly Circus my daughter got pick pocketed, they stole her phone.
Evil people. Always walk into a shop to use your phone, not just in London.
Definitely an area to be extra aware, Sharon, you're right!
and this? Piccadilly Circus = london's times Square?
That's a fair comparison, yes!
Lillywhites used to be the place to buy your sporting goods, but it has been rubbish for years BTW it is the English cricket team, not British.
Good catch, Stephen!
London has becomed too americanized, shops cafes, ikea, hardrock cafe, disney stores, might as well stay in America.
Bizarrely most of those places tend to be in the 'touristy' areas where Americans are visiting anyway? You won't find them in local neighbourhoods ;)
Thanks!
