All this is very interesting regarding if you owned that same bike but many of us don’t and we want to see the Erica light displayed on its own as in not in combination with your BMW OEM headlights and Darla. My lights aren’t your lights and that will be the case with many viewers. We want to see the light pattern on a wall and on a dark roadway. Combining them with other low/hi beams etc does no one else with a different bike/headlight combo any good to determine anything useful for their own unique application. Same goes for the Darlas. Nice bike though.
Hi - Regarding your request, part of the video shows the Erica on its own. Then, in combination with the Darla. Both shots have the OEM headlight on, and there's nothing that can be done about that, since (by law) on a new motorcycle in the US, the OEM headlight is ALWAYS on. No way to shut it off, and I'm not about to go messing with that wiring for any reason.

Thanks for the kind words. What you see on my bike are in fact the Wunderlich guards. They would fit on any protection bars IMO - that's just a function of the proper mounting bracket, and Clearwater has loads of selection there.
Do you know the diameter of the guards? I talked to Clearwater support personnel and this is what they reply to me: "Wunderlich uses several size tubing for their crash bars. We will need to know the diameter of the bars you have to make sure we send you the correct size. They could be a 27-28 mm or a 25 mm-1. You see is not much difference in size but, it will make a difference when installing the lights." IMO I think the mounts should fit almost any size.
I believe I am using the "B25" bracket - 25mm. The company's President (Glenn Stasky) has the same bike as me - same color, same Wunderlich setup. So it's not a problem to fit.
Hello Nick - As I mentioned in the video, the point of the Clearwaters is not the light output in and of itself - it's the integrated functionality with BMW's CANbus. That's what makes them unique. If you don't have a BMW with CANbus, that value proposition makes much less sense, I agree.
