Using the color notes when needed to spice things up is really important. I have a tendency to get stuck in Ionian, or if I'm in minor, I lean towars Dorian. There are more flavours...

Dorian just always sounds good. I do love Lydian as the #4 (#11) just gives it so much character. THX for watching!
