- Hey everyone! Here is the second part of the deer blind build being put together out at my lease. If you haven't checked out part one, make sure you do so you can see the whole process from the beginning.
Nicely done. enjoyed it.
@@whitleyca Thank you!
vary nice brother. enjoyed your build.
Thank you!
It looks a lot bigger then 6x8 . But, still a nice set up. 👌
I appreciate it!
Nice deer blind. Where did you get the windows and door? Does your wife hunt as well? She looks like a pretty capable women helping you with all that.
@mainenorthwoodshunter3265 I bought them from Dickinson feed and supply here locally, but they have a website Dickinsonfeed.com
Actually, no, she doesn't like to hunt at all, just enjoys being at the camp and outdoors. She was a huge help on this build. I definitely couldn't have done it without her!
Do you have a build sheet or detailed plan? I love this blind and would like to have one this size but couldn’t move it in its built form. I like the idea of putting it together at the location and ideas or help
No, unfortunately I did not keep those plans. But yes building in place is the way to go. I recently parted ways with that hunting lease and that blind was extremely heavy to get loaded up on a trailer. Took three of us to load it.
Do you have a pitch on your roof or is flat. Nice build
@jimmyholcomb2594 yeah it's about 2 inches taller on the front, thank you sir.
What did the build cost minus the concrete blocks?
All together I think it was about $1300, which is crazy, but inflation, what can you do.
Nice build! If you want some ideas for the inside, check out some of my diy videos. I don't know where you are located, so I don't know about needing heat......but I got ideas for that also. Good luck this year.
Thanks I appreciate it! I will definitely give them a watch. I'm hunting out in West Texas, Junction area. It gets cold but not too bad, I use a little buddy heater and I am gonna put up some of those insulated boards on the walls.
@@allthingsthetford I'm in NW Ohio. We definitely get cold. I got collapsible shooting tables, heat vent, (good idea for your area to prevent mold or humidity), urinal, cooking stove, plastic some other ideas. All in a 6x8 blind. And I have less than $50 in the entire thing! I hope I can help a little. Good luck!
Man that sounds like a set up! In West Texas it's very dry with low humidity so that helps preserve the wood. If it were closer to the coast where I live I would definitely need venting.
