3,050 actual miles!! This Z-28 is an original survivor that still looks new. It also performs and drives like new. Bought new at Don Maxwell Chevrolet April, 1978. Only 2 owners. Has copy of orginal invoice, cost new $6,145.85
EXTERIOR: The body and paint are amazing considering it's all original. There's no door dings, rust or damage. The body is straight, panels fit square and flush. The paint still has a glossy finish, no cracking or fading. The decals are still real nice. The glass is crystal clear. It has the style trim which includes moldings around the windows, back of the hood etc. All the trim is pristine. The door jambs are still shiny, all the weather strips and window seals are still soft rubber. It has expensive reproduction tires on color matched Z-28 wheels. It also includes the optional aluminum wheels on the original tires, they still look new! Includes original lug nuts.
INTERIOR: I hate to use the word perfect but I'm very tempted. It really is excellent from carpet to headliner. The instrument panel, levers, vents, lenses, knobs etc is pristine. The ashtray and cigarette lighter has never been used. The upholstery, carpet, headliner, door panels are mint. The window cranks, seat belts and floor mats are like new. The original owner's manual is in the glove box. The steering wheel has no wear and is on a tilt column. The factory Am-Fm stereo plays clearly, original speaker. Nothing is modified. Has rally gauges, console and interior decor.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Very well preserved, not messed with. #s matching 350 runs as smooth as silk. All original manifolds, distributor etc. Air cleaner assembly is complete and mint. Only the radiator and battery was replaced. The air conditioning was serviced and updated with R134 freon, it blows ice cold. It features power steering and brakes. All the components, wiring, fan shroud, hoses are excellent and look clean. Part of the sound deadener group includes hood insulation.

I ordered mine, a 1978 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28 in January 1978 , original sticker was $5883 , black color, black 5-spoke wheels, 4-speed, with positraction , cloth seats, and a Pioneer FM radio / 8-track with all the latest woofers and tweeters it topped out just under $10K ... had a $10.6K job and was single ... no problem affording it but dates had to tolerate going to McDonalds for a night out dinner ... great car !!!
Again, another example of Volo excellence. There is just something about original survivors, and this one is tops!! This car's original owner obviously loved this Camaro .... To have it that long, and have the restraint to have driven it only 3,000 miles .... What an awesome occasional cruiser ... Great engine size, differential, turbo, cruise and a/c .... Congrats on another rare find, as well as this car's soon to be new owner! This one won't be there for long. Outstanding presentation, and VERY reasonably priced.
I Graduated in May of 1978. The Z 28 and the Trans Am. Were about as High performace as you could get in 1978. Maybe the Lil Red Wagon pick up from Dodge with 225 Hp. Had the Highest rating! Nice survivor. Shawn

I liked the ones from this model year... Not nearly as much gingerbread (ground f/x) as the last 3 model years of the Gen 2... The speedometer hadn't been taken down to 85 MPH yet, and you could actually make the hood scoop functional with a kit and something to cut the hood open with...
I just keep coming back to this car. Absolutely my dream car.
I had that exact car in high school. It was a lot of fun to have and drive.
My mom had one back '90 and I remember when my brother took the car without permission and crashed from the rear. My mom ended up donating it to her relatives 😢
My dad had one of these in this colour when he was younger.. had to sell it tho for the money.. I wish he didn't have to sell it because it would be so cool to have
This is my car I've always wanted I had a 78 just like this one I had the burgandy paint with the orange & red decail pkg with the body color steel wheels to match this one is nicer 1978s were fairly quick rubber in second automatic Superfun car to drive....
The color was called Carmine
My dad had a black 1978 z28 with the same rims and a 4 speed. Those other wheels you brought out came on the 1979 camaro z28.....also my dad's car did not have that ugly door molding fortunately
Woow!, I am a car enthusiast..I've seen a few cars in my time 😄 but I will say that this vehicle is Totally on Point 👌🏾(even though Brown is not one of my go-to colors) Awesome job again Volo 🤓😎 continue to keep giving us good video's& information on the car's.

@@sircusvargas4885 Primarily constant stalling out and bad traction causing spinouts on quick takeoffs.
i herd they wound stale break down due to more electrical components
