Retaking the test next week hoping to increase my scores (got a 40 needa get higher) and thanks a lot Grammar Hero for the content not that many people are doing posting asvab content. Took the AFCT yesterday and that was my third time , i can honestly say your videos are amazing got the GT score i needed. Crazy part i ran out of time on the Math knowledge portion had 5 questions left and still got the score i needed. Thanks!!!!
Congrats, you're welcome, and I wish you the best if you join the military! This week, a guy actually complained that there isn't enough time on the practice tests on my website, but I always remind them that the ASVAB, which is timed, will be very similar.
@@GrammarHero i did all the practice AFQT on your website and didn’t have an issue with time. I’m already in the military but i needed a GT score of 110 or higher to drop my warrant packet. I’m stationed at Ft Jackson and informed our education center about your website and UA-cam page l. This would help a lot of soldiers to pass the AFCT. This was a year and a half in the making when you fail by army regs you have to wait 6 months before you can test again..

Regarding #1, I found myself using a 10% with 13.41 and doubling it when converting to 5%, leaving me with a relative answer of 260. As my question: What about a science portion of the asvab?

hey question for number 3 why wouldn't we multiply and for future references how would we know wether to divide, or muilptly in these type of problems... please help taking asvab tomorrow so worried and I gotta know this.
40 minutes - 30 minutes = 10 minutes. To use the d = rt formula, we have to convert time to be in terms of hours (There are 60 minutes in a hour). So 10 minutes is 10 min/60 min or 1/6 of an hour.
If the problem ask you what was the total when you add the percentage MULTIPLY (think of it as discounts).But when you’re already given the amount of percentage that was already added you DIVIDE to find out what the original number was before the percentage was involved.
hey for the first problem when i got to the 141 I looked at the other answer options from that point I did 4 x 17 and 4 x 35 which is the last two numbers from each possible left over answers to choose from so idk if I got lucky but when I did the 35x4 I got 140 then plugged that in was that luck or can you solve like that for most of these types of questions sorry if that was confusing not the best typer
If you watch enough of my videos, you'll notice that when doing tedious long division, I use my answer choices to help myself do the division. That's pretty much what you did, which is fine.

#9 A faster method without algebra expression is like 4 * 7 = 28 over 4+7 =11 so 28/11 = 2.54. :)

@ 45:18 Is multiplying by it's invers a different way of getting r by itself? couldnt have you mulitplied by 3 to cancel out the denominator on 2/3?

Because you’re filling 1 thing up there for the equation will always be set at = 1. That’s just how combined rate works
