I recognize the Halka 70. The late Tenjen “Lama” Sherpa was testing this pack when climbing with Kristin Harila during her world record attempt. They became the fastest man and woman to climb all the 14 highest peaks in just over 3 months. Shortly thereafter Tenjen Lama Sherpa passed away after getting caught in an avalanche climbing Manaslu with another client. RIP Lama 🇳🇵☸️🕊️

Hi HMG team, why do you still us DCH150 fabric and not Ultra Challange? Thanks for your feedback

Is there any future plans to make them in other colours? such as black and grey?

It would be sick in brown or green!

Do the ladder locks that attach the brain to the shoulders straps also act as load lifters that are common on other packs?

We do not have load lifters on our packs! The attachment is only to keep the lid on the pack.

@@HyperliteMountainGearI wish you had load lifters on your packs. This is the one reason I haven’t taken the chance on one of your packs. It’s just too much money to spend if I find out that the pack isn’t for me. Wonder if it’s possible to modify the pack and attach custom load lifters. The Halka 55 would be right up my alley.

@@p.richter9592 Yep. My partner and I both were excited about HMG Headwall 55L for ski touring and overnight mountaineering. But once trying on it was clear that without load lifters too much weight pulls down on your shoulders making the pack uncomfortable.

@@ultimateb697 On pictures from Hyperlite’s website, it seems that the shoulder straps are shoulder straps and load lifters all in one. But for that to work, one needs to have the waist belt attached at all times. If you have to loosen the waist belt, the pack will sag down a little, and the pack will then sit lower on your back than before. I have emailed Hyperlite asking them about this, but haven’t received an answer. I guess they don’t care of you as a potential customer if you question their design.
