After flying Falcons for 20 years, ( I also fly the G-550). I can say truthfully, nothing else flies like a Falcon. We regularly flew our Falcon 900EX with winglets from London City to White Plains, NY and easily met the climb requirements while limited to London City’s restrictive “declared distance” for takeoff. Despite an actual runway of 4946 feet, London city published a declared TORA of only 3934 feet with an additional stopway of 394 feet. Our Falcon easily made balanced field within this limit, AND met climb requirements with enough fuel to arrive at KHPN with more than 3000 lbs reserve. Depending on winds aloft, We averaged around 7:45 for the flight westbound to NY and burned 14600 lbs fuel cruising at Mach .80.
David, you flew F900EX, you said nothing else flies like a falcon, means short runway capabilities and good fuel consumption? , how about the falcon handling, and cabin room quietness? Compared to rivals... Due to 3 engines, I hope I can have information from you or others,... Thank You...
Nicely played. Hurray to Dassault for setting the bar higher in performance again. Short field with long range was the tademark of the Falcon 50 back in de days. They sure know how to do it.
Terrific video from a terrific team of Aviation professionals! Thanks for honoring that very special piece of Aviation history. Let's all continue to fight to keep SMO open!
Super cool. Thinks AINTV for bringing us this super cool, exclusive content. Now get us some more footage of the Global 7500 and I’ll be completely satisfied.
Power up to full power and let off brakes. Loved that jerk as it the accelerated. Fastest I ever flew in the company falcon was 0.95 Mach. Love falcons
Nice job falcon. I’m glad someone was able to give the middle finger to the SMO bureaucrats. Government regulations cannot stop ingenuity. Let this be the proof.
I thought 2 engine jets were the most efficient which is why we dont see passenger DC10s/MD11s etc. So why pay for the 3rd engine - to get around ETOPS?
Do you know how much it cost to replace those brakes? They could never do that everyday. They would not profit if they had to do that more than once a week.
For what its worth, they practiced these short landings all day the day before this flight. I'm not sure how long that could go on for, but they certainly have a lot of hard stops in them. Thanks for watching!
Lots of drama guys. As you can see there's always lots of margin with this kind of power and high lift devices, going all the way back to the Falcon 10. PS. ATC can make or break you in NYC area.
One more THUMBS DOWN. Why? Well at 4:38 he states he took off with 60,000 lbs of fuel. Considering the Falcon 8X can only carry a "Maximum fuel 35,141 lb" (direct from the Falcon website specs), I cannot believe I'm the ONLY one to catch that! Perhaps he meant 60,000lbs GTW which would be possible. So next time you make a advertising video, at least catch your errors and either retake the scene or put a title correction.
This is why we have to continue to fight the good fight to keep this treasure of Aviation history and diamond of GA open for many decades to come. I took my very first flight in a GA airplane at KSMO. 🛫
Bombardier's record was from Van Nuys to Teterboro. The key with Dassault's record is that it was from SMO's short runway, and the aircraft was able to take off with enough fuel to get across the country. Thanks for watching!
The entire reason SMO shortened the runway was to disincentivise jet operations. Thanks for single handedly closing that beautiful little airport down.
That and also the fact that these assholes will do anything they can to bite at the airport one bit at a time. That’s their strategy if they can’t close it down all at once. A bunch of fucking cocksuckers

I've heard the 7x is not too good. Is that true? lots of maintenance issues

@@oganwaluyo12 It is also a cheaper plane to operate.
how about the abnormal check list is it also intergrate into aircraft electronic check list or pilot need to use ipad for abnormal check list ?
That was one hell of an approach. What a machine and what skilled pilots!
Although, I’m a major fan of the GULF STREAM 650. I must say, this FALCON 8X is truly an remarkable bird. “Very impressive !”

What would satisfy me is if the 8x was the size of the 7500 and if I had the net worth to buy it...
Nobody manufactures control systems like Dassault. This 8X is the pinnacle of achievement in this field
My favourite aircraft!! Love it! And congratulations to all involved in the record! You guys are amazing!!
Oh what fun !!! Thank you
Good Job! Love the Dassault family of aircraft, it’s my dream to own one someday.
Short field capability is why the RAAF selected the 7X for the VIP squadron replacement.
Power up to full power and let off brakes. Loved that jerk as it the accelerated.

Love falcons
Great Job!! Way to " raise the bar " on the coast to coast travel! Not mention short take off and noise restrictions
Congrats to the Dassault team and to all humanity for having access to such a machine! Or at least .00000025 % of humanity...
😮 4 hours..! That’s amazing
A beast of a plane
Best large jet money can buy.
Beautiful aircraft
From a mechanics standpoint, nothing beats the Falcon.
Can you tell me why?.., I'm curious
My favourite jet because of size and runway use. And how good it is on fuel and how far it can be flown. Plus fly by wire. Congrats !
Congratulations that was some amazing flying
Impressive short field performance
Very much the best biz jet available imo
Incredible! What a ship!
This is my favorite jet
Congratulations on your terrific accomplishment! I would love to have been one of the on board passengers!
Congratulations looks like a lot of fun
3 engines are old fashion but a lot of fun. The Falcon is the heavy metal of buzz jets. The only substitute are airliner biz jets.
Way to go Franco Nese!!
Amazing how quiet it is up front.
Thanks to its trijet engines
Very well done guys, great aircraft
I believe It can land in Simara Airport in Nepal which has the runway length of 1192 M
Does the plane use reverse thrust?
Great job Pilot's 😎
Very very nice. Thank you.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thank you for posting.
Legendary!!
amazing video, thanks guys

is this equipped with OZone scrubbers?
I wish I could be like Franco when I grow up... problem is I am in my 40s already.
Looking very nice...

Nice video
Same
Quite remarkable.
What a brilliance team dassault
It'll be interesting to see what the G650ER can do on that same route. Congrats to Dassault.
They can't fly the route in a 650 because of the short runway at KSMO. Just like the Gulfstreams can't go into London City
Anthony R wrong on both. The G650ER is London City certified.
Still waiting for your G650 to beat either record, out of SMO or into LCY.
It rotates steeply, or it was only my imagination?
I thought 2 engine jets were the most efficient which is why we dont see passenger DC10s/MD11s etc. So why pay for the 3rd engine - to get around ETOPS?
You can choose falcon 2000 or 6x..
If your priority only for efficient
cost of training crew to replicate that.
When will 9X be launched...?
Hoping it will be a competitor to the 7500 and G650ER.
It will be the 6X in 2021 not 9X.
The next one in line is the 10x
Excellent :-)
1:52 What is "ARCO FRACCO"?
Auto Throttle
I want one
Nice :-) Thanks

Centerline!!!
🇫🇷💪🏼
A lovely middle finger to those NIMBY's who don't like airport noise but chose to live next to an airport...
vive la france!!
Is Dassault the last remaining tri-jet manufacturer in the world?
Of private jets, yes and still family owned.
Lots of drama guys. As you can see there's always lots of margin with this kind of power and high lift devices, going all the way back to the Falcon 10. PS. ATC can make or break you in NYC area.
That why I think they made the flight during the night to be less restricted by ATC
Ricky? Did you finally get an airplane?
Lord Jesus Christ 🌹🌹 🌹 will give me a Falcon 8x flight. HIS name is mega miracle working God ❤️❤️❤️
Anyone can do that. I could

He says "16,000 pounds of fuel". What you're saying doesn't even make sense.
Aviation International News of course that makes no sense. Sure sounds like 60 thousand to me. 16000 does make sense.
The pilot clearly said " We took off with almost 16,000 lbs of fuel ". I repeat, great video AIN !
Someone needs to get their hearing checked...
Land on the runway center line next time :)
Congrats to the 8X team and F*&k Santa Monica for closing the airport.
HisXlency dear angry human, Santa Monica did not close airport. They shortened runway.
Love,
Aviation
@@Thunderdog73 Understood but it is slated to close in a few years, correct?
HisXlency correct, in 2028. How many flight hours will you be getting in at Santa Monica airport before those 9 years pass?
@@Thunderdog73 hopefully a few this summer.

Why is everyone starting a sentence with the word "So" these days. Terrible English.
The video shows the performance of an aircraft and the skills of the pilots... Not english GRAMMAR !!!
By the way, great video guys. 👍
