I can see how people are comparing this video with Daniel Simmons’ style of vlogging. But I’ve been watching your videos for a minute, and they’re not all like this stylistically. I enjoy the variety. And I don’t mind if it’s reminiscent of DS as I like that vibe - brings tranquility & calmness to my day. What differentiates it is you & your personality. I watch your videos not just for the content, but because it’s you. As for the summer outfits you showcased, I like outfits #3 & #5. The shorter shorts look better, in my opinion. The Champion mesh jersey looks great on you. And I really like those Steve Madden Maiven Sandals - may just get a pair myself.

Sandals without socks all the time, sockless more in 2024. I prefer slides over the regular sandals they have straps which makes it easier to put on your bare feet.
Even though I think you do dressed pretty similar to other creators, I do agree with what you’re saying, all of them look the same, it’s became pretty boring. Also, for me, as I live in very hot and humid place, non of those options are really working.

I actually pull most of my influence from female creators like Irislovesunicorns or Lissyroddy to name a couple. Also sucks about the humidity! I Definitely would go with linen, or crochet items. Errr... Criticizing other content creators as u use the exact same video template - not very nice. Even cuz your fashion game is not far from the simmos and the has of the world. Yours just look more laid back. I would be carefull with the sharpiness. The denim set is a banger though!! Cheers!

I don’t think Charles was “criticising” other creators imo. But I 100% agree with you when it comes to Daniel Simmons. Charles video containing an eye brow raising amount of similarities to Daniel Simmons. DS videos are simple so it wouldn’t be hard to accidentally make the editing too similar , but again there’s just too many similarities to DS, to the point of If I wasn’t paying attention, I would’ve thought the start of the vlog was a DS vlog. Not Charles.

@@saargi Respect brother. At the end of the day we all have our own path to go down. This one is mine. Some videos may remind you of some creators, and some may remind you of others. No matter what, when people start out they always get compared to others "Oh that outfit makes you look like James Dean" - Even though it's just jeans and a t-shirt. DS has basically created a genre. It's like a rock band getting really big and then everyone gets mad when other rock bands form. We all inspire each other, and we should all be here to lift each other up. My videos are all quite different from one another in my opinion. But it's basically impossible to create anything these days that hasn't been done or is completely original. I do believe that because I'm growing I will get this sort of hate/criticism. For the people who've been here with me for 2 years they know that I just film what I want when I want, and how I want. For the new people it's tough to see past the similarities sometimes. And that's fine. My goal is to grow, inspire, and be better in general. I plan to just do my best and lead by example. bro one word of advice. U have to differentiate yourself from Daniel Simmons. It’s exactly the same. U have to create your own art. If not, why would we watch you if we have the creator himself?
I understand this perspective. In my opinion my content is different. I am aware of the similarities, truth is I am doing my own thing and sometimes it’s similar to others. There’s thousands of channels on here that look like other channels. It’s the same as songs sounding the same. There’s really only a few ways to do it. When you film alone, in a singular environment doing outfit content it pretty much always comes out like this unless you hire an editor and do more sfx etc. I am aware it’s similar in some cases, but not just to DS but to almost every menswear creator on UA-cam. I plan to grow and eventually carve out my own niche. That being said I believe it’s different enough and reflects who I am as a person authentically. I appreciate the response. If you hang along for the ride you’ll watch me grow and develop even more. See you on the next one 👊

I could sit here and say your videos also look like Ethan kiefer’s or Daniel simmon’s videos, but that’s because you guys all make similar content (fashion, lifestyle, gym, shopping vlogs). I don’t think this is a valid criticism of your content based on that and I don’t think it’s a piece of criticism you should pay attention to, it’s not really constructive. I think your videos are different enough in that your personality is completely and you throw in motivational tidbits in your shorts and videos all the time, something which other similar UA-camrs don’t do. That’s one way in which you differentiate yourself that I enjoy about your videos, and I think you should definitely keep moving forward despite all the comparisons. Also, I’d love to see you talk about your music interests more, I’m also a huge music fan. Love the content man, keep it up.
