Welcome to Band-Maid! The best hard rock band I have heard in my 57 years on this planet. They don't stick to any one genre and often mix genres in songs. They are extremely diverse and have an extensive 10 year back catalogue featuring Punk, Pop-Punk, Hard-Rock, Classic Rock, Metal, Prog, Blues, Jazz, Groove, Rap etc. From face melting 220 bpm punk-prog to ballads, instrumentals to acoustics they do it all. They are also five of the nicest people in music, without a shred of ego. They are funny and fun and bad-ass musicians to boot. They are currently celebrating their 10th anniversary together - with no line up changes!
Band-maid have been together for 10 years. The only change in personnel was the addition of lead singer Saiki Atsumi after several months as a four-piece. Band founder Miku Kobato was originally just the singer, but after Saiki joined Miku started taking guitar lessons from lead guitarist Kanami Tōno, and she is now a skilled rhythm guitarist. If you watch their first Music Video, "Thrill", you can see Miku mostly using her guitar as a prop.
The thing about BAND-MAID is their music is always uplifting and energetic and playlist worthy no matter what the lyrics are saying. Check out their latest Awesome instrumental FROM NOW ON. The barefoot bass assassin is always in the forefront of the mix. No egos in this band. Everybody shines. Peace. 443
Miku Kobato, rhythm guitar and band founder, writes most of the lyrics and most of those lyrics are very positive in nature. All the members are gifted, committed and also friends. You've only touched the surface, they don't have a bad song and the more you listen the more you'll learn and also appreciate them. Best rock band on the planet in my opinion.
Best rock band out there! Band-Maid have been around for 10 years now and Shambles is their latest single. They have over 130 songs and every one is AMAZING! But they are very much a live band, check out any of their live videos to get the full Band-Maid experience. BTW the Bass player is MISA, the very best of the very best.
The gradual delight expression emerging on your face from the Band Maid music says it all about this band. MISA the Barefoot Assassin is a bass goddess to many BM fans.
Positivity, virtuosity, spectacular songwriting, big time fan interaction both during a live show and in the every day, arrangements that keep surprising you every 5 seconds and yes - uplifting lyrics and music. The more you listen to this band, the more you will love them. They have helped many people including me get through some rough years, and for this sixty something year old they've breathed new life into hard rock and then some. I say then some because in many ways they're actually better than our heroes from the past. These ladies can and do genre hop all of the time, so you'll actually need to hear at least 10 to 20 songs of theirs before you really know who they are musically. Even then, they'll keep delighting and surprising you. They are the real deal!!
Dude! You have found a truly amazing band. If you liked this song, you would like more. They go both harder and softer than this song and all fantastic. They literally don’t have a song I dislike. Only songs I like more than others. MISA is the bass player. The whole band is made up of top-notch musicians. If you want to stay hard and fast, I suggest checking out Sense or Different. For their fantastic live videos, I say Puzzle and No God. For more mid-tempo I’d say Play live, Dice MV. They also have some fantastic live acoustic versions of songs. It’s wild how different they are but you can still tell they are the same songs!
Written for an anime. The guitarist Kanami writes the songs and produces the tracks and the band will add and all are expert musicians. MISA the bassist and barefoot assassin has much to do usually in every song because she is that good. Akane the drummer is another brilliant musician. You will hear fans talk about Band Maid (dressed in Cafe Maid uniforms as a contrast to the way they sound) Miku (Red Road and lyricist) started the band ten years ago having worked in Maid Cafes. But you will read what fans say and think they are just over doing it. They really are not. Old or young, fans that like rock or metal or some early punk influences in the early days. Will all admit that this is a special band. Unique live in front of small or big audiences.
congratulations. You have met the best hard rock band in the world at the moment. I've been listening to music for 58 years and I'm happy to have discovered their music. This is just my personal opinion, but they are the modern female version of the Beatles. They will conquer the world in the near future. And you haven't seen most of them yet. Next, you should see their live performance. They shine even more in live performances. Furthermore, I guarantee that they are lovely and wonderful in their personalities, and that they are charming and will entertain you. Please select the next song immediately.
This was commissioned as the season two closing theme for the Netflix anime Kangan Ashura. They they sing about "burnt your binding ropes to ashes" they're taking about not letting anything hold you back. The anime is pretty good, but the song is even better! They have other Anime Theme Songs, like 'Glory for Yu-Gi-Oh- VRAINS, but this is my favorite. They've been together for 10 years, wrapping up the anniversary tour. If you really want to see some bass playing go check out the song 'Hate' from their appearance at Lollapalooza earlier this year. Their Bassist is The Barefoot Assassin, MISA. Please chant it when you see her. MISA! MISA! MISA!!!
They're currently wrapping up their 10th anniversary tour. It began last March and has been about 25 shows in Japan and another 20 or so in the USA. There's one show left.... Yokohama Arena on November 26th.
This song was commissioned as an anime theme song. Thr lyrics are related to the theme of the anime, which is about essentially a ln underground fight club.
Suggestion for next - "Puzzle" live The song was written to be ending theme for the brawler anime Kengan Ashura, based on the gritty Shogakukan Ura Sunday serial manga about gladiators dueling on behalf of corporate moguls and entrepreneurs. Their 3rd contract song for Anime. The catalog consist of 200 songs written over their 10 years as a band. They were the 2nd Japanese Band to be invited to perform at Lallapalooza - Here is the review from Rolling Stone - Japanese Rockers Band-Maid Put Guitar Center Showoffs to Shame There’s a pun to be made about how much Band-Maid ripped, but the Japanese group goes even harder than that. Fluctuating between hard rock, aughts nu-metal, and pop rock, each member of the quintet is a virtuoso in her own right with more than a decade of practice in Band-Maid alone. They lured curious onlookers into the fold when highlights like “Domination” and “Don’t You Tell Me” got huge reactions from the crowd, but it was the bass solo-versus-guitar solo duels mid-song that got the biggest cheers. This is what those guys in Guitar Center think their ridiculous riffing sounds like. Turns out it’s done best, and most effortlessly, by women in black-and-white maid dresses and frilly hair-pieces as they smile ear to ear. -N.C.
Thanks for reacting to my favourite band Band Maid ! Shambles was written for an anime. Band Maid have a few anime tracks in their catalogue of over 100 songs Seven albums in 10 years with another album on the way. You will struggle to find a more hard working band than the maids ! Every fan has a different favourite track as all their songs are great but for me it has to be 'Blooming' the official MV, would be my recommendation for your next reaction or if you want to check out a live performance try 'Domination' the official live. Enjoy !
Oh - and as for what song to do next, it's a cornucopia of choices because they've got about 140 songs or so and literally none of them are bad. You can definitely see their progression over the years (they somehow manage to just keep getting better and better even after ten years), so one way is to check out both some of their older songs and some of their newer. I'd go for Real Existence Live for an oldie but goodie, and maybe do Puzzle Live 2023 show, then Onset for a great early-ish instrumental, then Daydreaming for a gorgeous power ballad, and then jump to some of their mind boggling new stuff like From Now On (instrumental), and so on and so forth and what not.
All of Band-Maids songs are top notch ! This is the best hard rock band around and they just get better and better ! You should check out some live songs like"Real Existence" Official Live or "Play" Live They shine on stage! Thanks Winey Guy Maidiacs don't cry =)
Bass player is MISA (me-sah) all capital letters, last name unknown. she doesn’t wear shoes on stage so she is the “barefoot assassin” she recently turned 30. She likes alcohol and likes Jim Bean. She recently switched to beer however because all that hard liquor was taking a toll on her body. She is very chill and laid back. She is the one men chant for, “MISA, MISA, MISA.” Many bass players have said she is possibly the greatest living bass player right now! Oh, and BAND-MAID fans are “Maidiacs!”
Band-Maid live songs Freedom, Domination, Thrill, Play, No God, On Set, From Now On, (Dice, Hate, live at Lollapoolaza 2023), Check, LOVEBITES live songs Judgement Day, The Hammer Of Wrath, Nameless Warrior, Liar, Set The World On Fire, Break The Wall, Raise Some Hell, When Destinies Align(MV&LIVE), Shadow Maker(MV&LIVE), Winds Of Transylvania(MV&LIVE), Scream For Me, Holy War...all songs in English and with dual crazy guitars solos.... NEMOPHILA new live video songs Change The World, ZEN, Seize The Fate.... GACHARIC SPIN songs Mindset, Tamashii.. TRIDENT-JAPAN songs Voltage, No Regret, KICKASS... ASTERISM songs Dawn, Rising moon, Lights In The Darkness, Church....all songs with crazy guitar and 7string bass solos.... All this Japanese Bands will make your jaw dropped BRO..... 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Also the official live video of "Manners and Black Hole" is a fantastic demonstration of MISA's bass and Akane's drums in the Manners part, one of the more dope performances of music I ever have heard. BTW - for some reason MISA spell her name all caps.
"They kicked in so hard with the bass and the drums" ... Well, welcome to the Great "Thunder Buddies" Show, presented by Akane Hirose (dr) and Misa (ba). ⚡:) But as always at their side the very special guests, riff monster Kanami Tono (lead gt), the most energetic pigeon ever Miku Kobato (rhythm gt, vocals, bang founder) and certainly not least the beautiful force on the microphone Saiki Atsumi. For quite a few, these ladies are the end of the food chain of today's rock generation and you have seen at best a fraction of what this band has to offer. Greetings from Germany and welcome to the pigeon-hole! :) _____________________ 「 _"Our rock never dies ever. Forever!"_ 」 - from *BAND-MAID* - 'Manners' 🎶🕊
MISA, the bassist, along with the others is a top level musician. They don't hide her at the bottom, Rather she's right up front with the rest. The Warning and Band-Maid. 2 great bands.
an interesting take. There are many musicians' reactions that appreciate the musical part of BM songs. this is the first one that emphasizes the text of the song.
Don’t get me wrong. The musical aspect was awesome. I also like song meanings and like the lyrical aspects of a song. This was all around a great song.
Best band this generation. There are dozens of absolte bangers with videos you need to watch. Highly suggest Domination LIVE (not the MV). That way you can see what these lovely young ladies are really all about.
Only another 120 to go - Domination live and Manners / Black Hole live are both good next moves as a starting point, lots of bass goodness from The Barefoot Assassin as there is in all their songs.
Congratulations on improving your life today by finding the Maids!! I know of no better rock band on planet earth 🌍 Check out a live video next - “Freedom” - official live video - “Domination” - official live video - “Onset” - official live video - “No God” - official live video Then dozens more live and MV’s. This is maybe the most prolific band since Zeppelin or the Beatles - just great song after great song. Enjoy your journey down the Pigeon hole!! Take care and rock on 🤘🏼🔥🎸🥁🎤🎼😎✌🏼
Positivity is characteristic of a lot of Japanese rock and metal. This Band-Maid rabbit hole is deep and satisfying. If you are like most of us, every new song you listen to will be your new favorite 😂. Their live videos are much better than the OMVs. Try Domination official live video, or Play official live. The bass player is MISA, and you ain't seen nothin yet. Enjoy the ride!

If you're going to continue down the Band Maid road. I wouldn't have picked this song as the first one to go with. But be that as it may. Check out the video for the song Thrill ( their first offering ). Although written by others at the time and that's the way things are done in japan. Then maybe jump over to Real Existence, Alone (the first song they were allowed to write and have creative control with) , Daydreaming, Bubble. Live is where they really shine ! Check out Domination and Freedom live. From the same concert 2020 in Japan.
Congratulations, you just found your new favorite band! Domination Live, Alone, Blooming, Choose Me, Manners, Unleash!!!!!, Warning, Different, No God, Don't You Tell Me, Hate?, Daydreaming, Secret My Lips........pick any song, it's all 🔥🔥🔥🤘
Winey, you found Band Maid finally. You can pick up any song of Band Maid. You will never regret. By the way, please pick up their interview "Gold Rush". You can see what they are.
You just met 5 of the sweetest, crazy talented Lady's on the planet. 😮 They are, Saiki Atsumi, Sai Chan, Sensei, lead singer. Miku Kobato, little pigeon, rythum guitar, backing vocals, lyricist, and band founder. Kanami Tono, Mincho, lead guitar, composer / arranger. Misa, Misa, Misa, the Barefoot Bass Assassin. And last but not least, Akane Hirose, the Gorilla, loves bananas & food in general, beats those drums !! Welcome !! 😏♥️🎙🎸🥁😎🤘
Welcome to Band-Maid, unfortunately they are one of the best secrets in rock. They are the best group of musicians out there I suggest you check out their song Play live. And Puzzle live
Welcome to Band Maid! They combine the groove of rock/the musicianship of metal/the intricacies of prog/the energy of punk/and the catchiness of pop (and throw in an occasional jazz interlude). Their biggest attribute, imho, is that they are FUN, I saw the Band Maid smile you had. They are at their best live. The bassist is MISA, here is a link to 'Hate?' from their recent show at Lollapaloosa: ua-cam.com/video/OvtKRZ9xt3E/v-deo.html
Winey Guy , Welcome to BAND-MAID enjoy your journey down the Pigeon hole , MISA !!! MISA !!! MISA !!! the Barefoot Bass Assassin , Shambles is the closing song for anime Kengan Ashura its an anime about fighters , next song Domination official live video , all of BAND-MAID songs have positive messages .

She also threw in a few small easter eggs for their long time fans. If you are interested, I have more of the main file about the Ladies, just let me know. Also if you are looking for something that really show cases these Ladies talent, go to Doc Loco's UA-cam channel and watch his video of the Ladies performing "Dice and Hate?" from their performance at Lollapalooza in Chicago earlier this year.
Great! The Warning yesterday and Band-Maid today! Give Voice of Baceprot a try tomorrow and you’ll have a triple play of awesome international all female metal face melting!
Misa. Love Band Maid, and always LIVE. Try Domination, live and Manners with Black Hole, live. They have at least fifty great songs. My other favorite Japanese band is One Ok Rock. Check out LIVE Take What You Want of their's. Also, consider Wagakki Band, Homura + Akatsuki no Ito, which is a big surprise constantly.
BAND-MAID is the most highly regarded band in the current Japanese hard rock world. And LOVEBITES is the most highly acclaimed band in the current Japanese metal world. (All evaluations are based on my personal bias) Surprisingly, both are all-female bands. The Japanese rock/metal world is completely dominated by female power.
Band Maid, Nemophilia (although I'm really not a metal guy), Love some of the stuff they do. And out of Indonesia, three hijab wearing Muslim women. In the rock funk metal group, VOB. With Band Maid They incorporate so many genres in their music. Sometimes in the same song. That's my number one go to group the last six years. I'm a little pickier with the other two. Because I'm not a real metal funk fan. But I like some of the stuff both of these other bands do as well. When it comes to Nemophilia check out their covers first. And VOB just wing it ! But PMS, Not public property and please God allow me to play music. Are three songs worth starting with from them. Good luck take care and be well.
Have you done NEMOPHILA yet they are also an all girl Japanese band with a positive message but heavier. Korean band Rolling Quartz are also pretty good. As well as their own songs NEMOPHILA do a lot of covers and they are pretty popular getting many views. Latest cover is Master of puppets sending NEMOPHILA fans into orgasmic meltdown. Like BAND-MAID NEMOPHILA are also very good live but BAND-MAID has the most effort put into their sound stage it's lucky you can hear the audience applause otherwise you would start to wonder if it really was live. Their concerts quite often go to 23 songs giving fans incredible value for money. They have many songs that are all different not just the same song over and over. Please keep going with BAND-MAID but do a little NEMOPHILA as well.
Yes. I have done one Nemophila song but I was having bad sound issues and the sound quality isn’t very good on it. I have the sound issue fixed and I will do some more Nemophila reactions. I will have to check out their Master of Puppets cover. Thank you for the suggestions.
Strap on your helmet this is a hell of a pigeon hole your about to undertake 1 piece of advise next and every song after this if your not doing the live version your cheering yourself and your viewers these girls are in there element live 100 times better then the studio version
MISA MISA MISA!!
They are rock and roll guardian angels and the best hard rock band on this planet🤘Keep an eye on them!!
*BAND MAID* doing *BAND MAID* things!!
🤘😀🤘
Best Hard Rock Band on this planet right now!
This band is even better live. It's like live comedy/theatre/hard rock all in one. They are all extremely talented.
Welcome to Band-Maid! The best hard rock band I have heard in my 57 years on this planet. They don't stick to any one genre and often mix genres in songs. ‘Puzzle,’ official live video, is a great song. It starts the way a rock song should-hard and heavy.

Hej Winey, Welcome to the world of Band-Maid.
Glad to have you with us on this journey !
And so it begins again the blooming of a new Maidiac in training. Welcome to BAND-MAID. Every maid a delight every song an experience.

Welcome to the world of the Maid, Next step watch their official Live video. Enjoy :)
an interesting take.
I know of no better rock band on planet earth 🌍
Check out a live video next
- “Freedom” - official live video
- “Domination” - official live video
- “Onset” - official live video
- “No God” - official live video
Then dozens more live and MV’s.

@@MCLHEF just a typo
Band maid is a super live band 🤘🎸👍
If you're going to continue down the Band Maid road. I wouldn't have picked this song as the first one to go with. But be that as it may. Check out the video for the song Thrill ( their first offering ). Although written by others at the time and that's the way things are done in japan. Then maybe jump over to Real Existence, Alone (the first song they were allowed to write and have creative control with) , Daydreaming, Bubble. Live is where they really shine ! Check out Domination and Freedom live. From the same concert 2020 in Japan.
“I’ve just never experienced this before…” LOL. Yeah. We know. We’ve all been there. BAND-MAID will do that to you. 😊

MISA MISA MISA!!!!! "Push the envelope Like a Fierce Tiger"

Great! The Warning yesterday and Band-Maid today! Give Voice of Baceprot a try tomorrow and you’ll have a triple play of awesome international all female metal face melting!
When your band is run by a pigeon, wings will come into play
Try this pre-pandemic concert performance next: DOMINATION (live) - ua-cam.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/v-deo.html
(All evaluations are based on my personal bias)
Surprisingly, both are all-female bands.
Good luck take care and be well.
yup. told you they were good ;)
Just a recommendation....don't ever pause in the middle of Misa's bass solo...Band Maid fans will have your head !!!!! LoL
