Also make sure it’s magnesium glycinate 😊 and tocotrinel( a type of vitamin E but better type good for your heart health after a hysterectomy. Of course, ask your doctor. Thanks for your healthy tips and eating habits. I will have to add this. Huge question for you did she change your dosage on your estradiol patch? I’ve been following along your suggestions since you and I are about the same exact age and weight.
Best thing I ever did was go to a menopause specialist. My OBGYN who I loved and was great delivering my kids knew SQUAT about menopause. I suffered for years. Finally saw someone who knew about menopause and had the training. It was LIFE CHANGING 🙏🏻
I just turned 79. When I turned 60, I went to a lecture by an OBGYN. He took over the practice of a retiring doctor who just did Bioidentical Hormone Replacement. This is a yearly blood test to check hormone levels and then take a prescription to a compounding pharmacy where they make up a three months supply of a cream just for me. It consists of progesterone, testosterone, estradiol and estriol. I put the cream on twice a day. As I said this has been something that I have done the last twenty years and I wish I had started sooner! You are so right about finding a doctor that understands that Menopause is more than just hot flashes! The more that I have read over the years about how hormones affect you mentally, physically and emotionally the more I try to do what I can to help others going forward! Thank you so sincerely for sharing your journey…..❤️❤️❤️
Across the board - women are NOT getting the right treatment for menopause. I heard from a doctor that they only get one hour of training regarding menopause. I booked a menopause specialist and can't get in until August. Due to my insurance, I could not use MIDI. I have ALL the unpleasant symptoms including belly fat and I've discussed with my regular doctor and GYN got no answers.
Wish this was available to me years ago when I went through menopause. I too, was disappointed with my regular doctor's response to my menopause questions - I wanted to talk about newer therapies - like bioidentical hormones and supplements I read about- and they basically handed me a prescription for depression medication and sent me on my way. (Which I didn't take) Went to multiple drs in my area but got the same response. It was a rough couple of years, but I made it through! Glad you had a good visit - right from your own home!
Renee I have tried Focus Factor for “brain fog” due to menopause as some of my friends have had success with it but for me it made no difference. Has this ever been a problem for you in menopause and if so what supplements if any have you tried? Thanks so much!
Renee, same here. My Gyno retired and had to get another dr. I love my new dr and she is open to questions and explained all the options for menopause. My symptoms have subsided but still struggling with weight. I started a dietician for that. The struggle is real. Thanks for these episodes you do on menopause they make me feel that I'm not alone.
I just returned from a visit with a GYN who is not in favor of prescribing HRT for women over 60. I am 67 and was never on HRT and never had any of my physicians ever broach the subject with me. Although I no longer have hot flashes, I still have a constellation of symptoms (muscle/joint pain, brain fog, sleep issues, mood) that I feel in my heart would benefit from HRT. I have been hearing about Midi Health recently and your YT video after that disappointing doctor visit was like a message from the universe to keep trying. I will be contacting them for an appointment. Thanks again for partnering with them to keep your viewers informed.
I've had great experiences with Midi! Finally getting the help I need after 3 years of frustration with my local general doc and obgyn! Feeling amazing!
My Urologist (a man) wound up being the person who said I was probably suffering from low hormones. He did the test and I was a dead zero for estrogen and testosterone. Now I’m on the pellets which last 2-4 months(sub -cutaneous) and they have made a big difference in my well being. Ladies get an in depth hormone test! Gyno and family dr just don’t typically help with this area of health. Get your husbands tested too!
MIDI has been a game changer for me. I finally have a practitioner who is knowledgeable and is committed to helping me find solutions and real balance. I can’t say enough good things about MIDI.
I work at an OB/Gyn office, have for 22yrs, and I am still booking a Midi Health appt. You're correct...today's OB/Gyn's do not have enough training in Menopause specifically...there's so much demand on them in regards to OB health/care that it's overwhelming. So...if you do not have a Gynecologist that specializes in Gynecology &/or menopause...likely they're not the elite expert in said field (specialist yes...expert...maybe...). They know enough do not get me wrong, but when it comes to all the supplements and nutrition and how our bodies change and adaptation to and through menopause....not likely. I was intrigued based on Renee's review for sure! Thanks as always Renee!!!
There are two new books out called The New Menopause by Dr. Mary Claire Haver, a menopause specialist, and a book on menopause nutrition called The Galveston Diet.
Also the women at Wise & Well have a new book that is coming out in September called The Great Menopause Myth. I've preordered it. I've been following them for awhile and they have very good infromation.
I just got Dr. Haver’s book a few days ago and I’m more than halfway through. It was 50% off last week at Amazon. I have an appointment with my GP in June and have been considering Midi Health. Now I’m convinced. Thank you Renee.
I had a hysterectomy in my late 30s. Went on hormone replacement therapy for about 15 years. Finally my dr said I needed to come off of the hormones. Well of course the hot flashes and night sweats came on with a vengeance. I finally asked my physician assistant mentioned that he’d heard of someone taking magnesium and it might help. I immediately went to the drug store and bought the magnesium. Long story short, now I’m 65, and it’s been years since I’ve had a hot flash. Make sure you take it at least a month without skipping to give it time to get into your system. Works wonders for me.
Renee - I can’t THANK YOU enough for this video!!! This has come at the EXACT right time for me! I have EVERY symptom/difficulty you just rattled off! It made me cry ! I would say my Gyno is an airhead! She is new to me and I know now I won’t be going back to her! My regular doctor gave me better advice, but as you said, it wasn’t quite enough. I am SO glad I have this information now, a fantastic resource to go to! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! You just made my day…my everything!❤ I love & appreciate you & your channel! I am going to look into this as soon as I can! 👏🏻❤️
I was so excited to see this video Renee!! As a 66 yr old who started menopause in my late 50's, I am still having hot flashes and night sweats!! FYI, medicare does not pay for HRT meds the way they are prescribed for menopause, so after 5+ years of taking them, and getting relief, I had to stop because the cost would have been astronomical!! I don't know if there's help for me, but I'm going to give Midi Health a try. Thanks again for this video and the info.
I looked into seeing a menopause specialist a couple of weeks ago before I found this video and just fair warning to anyone most won’t see you if you’re under the age of 35-40. So I’m stuck in some sort of limbo being 23 my doctor who did my surgery is great but I was hoping to get some more help with supplements and such
👋 Renee from Cali! Great ADVICE Lady❤ god bless you. These Doctors, NEED to CARE MORE about what they present themselves to US Patients. We are not just bodies we, we go to them for SUPPOSEDLY their Educational Advice and TRULY LISTEN and CARE! Thanks again Renee. I guess it’s really true YOU HAVE TO BE YOUR OWN ADVOCATE. You know your body better than them. 😊
Thank you so much, Renee, for this video sharing this invaluable resource! I have too experienced both my Primary Care and OBGYN physicians basically blow off any menopausal concerns I have. Have also viewed multiple videos on UA-cam where the OBGYN content creator will honestly admit that they only had 1 day of training on the subject in med school.
I love this topic as I've been on HRT for 5-6 years. I know what you mean about the accumulation of belly fat. I never had that before starting HRT. I look pregnant. I just stopped taking my hormones a few days ago to see if things change and so I can get a grip on the belly fat, but not sure if I can endure all the other symptoms that might return. We shall see. Luckily I do have a great gynecologist and can treat some of my symptoms individually.
I love that you’re sharing this. I’ve been on HRT for over 10 years. I’m 59 on bioidentical hormones. How are they going to check hormone labs? I have to have hormone labs drawn every 6 mths or so. Thanks Renee❤
I wish there was something like Midi health when I went thru menopause many years ago. Awesome you shared this with viewers... Hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. 🎉
Thanks Renee, what a great topic to talk about, there's not enough information out there! I'm 53 and not yet in Menopause, don't really have any issues yet but that can change so quickly. I put weight on gradually not much but enough for me to feel uncomfortable with it. Now lost the kilos and feel so much better. I'm 5'2 and 55 kilos. Stay healthy and have a lovely weekend in. 🇬🇧💖
Supplemental fiber is key per Dr Haver. Also strength training is a must. She even recommends wearing a weighted vest during workouts and walks. She believes visceral fat can be eliminated and should be, based on what you eat (avoid inflammatory foods). I’m 60 and she has taught me so much. Best shape of my life thanks to Dr Haver and Sydney Cummings (workouts on UA-cam). Turmeric is another supplement that she recommends.
Good for you for taking this step! You may want to consider these folks channels for GREAT menopause advice: Dr Vonda Wright, Dr Mary Claire Haver, Dr Stacy Sims, Dr Barbara Taylor (“menopause Taylor “) These are wonderful resources for HRT, working out, lifting heavy, protein needs, and lots of other good stuff!
Hi Renee Another excellent video. I went through menopause at age 42. All I heard was you are too young. Unbeknownst to me 2 of my cousins also went through it at the same age. I got the shoulder shrugs, that is just how it is comments and feeling rushed through the subject because of the time constraints to keep on schedule. I am glad you found the help to have someone knowledgeable guide you through the process. I hope your other viewers can also benefit from this video.
I had to go to a mid-life specialist to get HRT, my primary doctor, who has known me for years & close to menopause herself are right there, knew nothing! It’s so sad that we as women are constantly getting responses like, you’re just getting older, it’s just the way it is, you just need to deal with it, etc. So frustrating!
Thank you for sharing this video! I’m very lucky that I work with a doctor who manages all of my hormones- bio-identical and thyroid (I have Hashimoto’s). I pay out of pocket to work with him but it’s worth it because I could not find doctors who would work together under my insurance to manage my hormone care. He thoroughly tests me for everything through blood work and urine testing so that he can adjust dosages accordingly. I’m not 100% sure about this but I thought if you are on estrogen therapy you have to also be taking progesterone….I will confirm this at my next appointment. I take thyroid medication every morning and I have to wait an hour before drinking any caffeine as the caffeine interferes with the absorption of the meds. A lot of folks don’t know this because doctors fail to communicate this info….I hope this helps someone. 💗🌸
That's great that you have a wonderful doctor. That's hard to come across honestly. I no longer have a uterus so don't need progesterone. That's great info about the thyroid meds and caffeine...thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for this information! I am using a patch, and take magnesium as well, but I seem to be suffering terrible joint pain as a result of low estrogen. As others have mentioned, I have also gotten the shrug and "we just go by your symtoms" comment when I questioned how they determine what your levels are, from both my GYN and primary, both males...I've been desperately hoping to find someone who has any kind of real knowledge. Appreciate you sharing this with us!
I'm 55 yo and had a hysterectomy at 37. I went through the same as you. Wish I had that service then. I still feel like I have issues. Night sweats mostly. I've been on cholesterol since then and never knew about magnesium. I take them together at night 🙄 Thanks for sharing your journey.
Very helpful video. I was lucky to find a bio identical hormone specialist in my area about 15 years ago when in perimenopause...got on estrogen & progesterone. Just started testosterone for low libido. Also take vag estrogen for dryness.
Awesome information Renee. Thank you so much for sharing this. I think that will be something I’m going to look into for sure as I have many questions.🤗💖
I’m 44, perimenopausal, 118Lbs and have been thin my entire life but I’ve been developing that “poochie “ for the past few months and I absolutely hate it because I’m not doing anything different that what I’ve been doing for many many years . My watching habits are good and I exercise regularly. I’m starting to miss some periods but for the most part my period lasts longer than normal .
Thank you. What you said about doctors not knowing anything about menopause and supplements was exactly correct to my experience as well. I will check midihealth. Thank you
My aunt took hormone replacement therapy in her early eighties and died of breast cancer. When I told this to my doctor he said HRT can cause breast cancer. I am in menopause and I’m afraid to take anything like HRT because of what he told me. The one thing that has hit me hard in menopause is how easily I can get depressed or just not care about anything. I was not like this before menopause. I wonder if any supplements could help me with this. Thanks for the video!
Hello, I saw your post and thought I'd comment. I started HRT three weeks ago due to being placed in surgical menopause. I did my research in advance because my grandmother passed from breast cancer. HRT is not ideal for everyone, like if there is a strong family history of breast cancer, blood clots, or endometriosis. You may want to gauge your risk based on that and your doctor's recommendation. There's several studies now that show that more women benefit from HRT from a bone health, and heart health perspective. Look up Dr. Marie Claire Haver to see more recent information via UA-cam. It may help give you some talking points to discuss with your physician.
Do not take HRT take bio identical hormones made from yams. This will not affect you harmfully, but will help you, look for a pharmacy that does compound.
Thank you for your video! Very helpful. What did she feel was causing the belly fat? I have the exact same problem. No weight gain just fat around the middle!
Renee that belly fat you are experiencing isn’t necessarily at all from menopause but instead unfortunately from the full hysterectomy which you can look up what happens after that- our organs all shift to occupy the space where the organs were that were removed. Everything shifts downward and the skin goes with it and causes a “pouch” around the midsection. I am not sure how to combat it but I know other people same thing happened to and they are fit women and very active but pouch is there only and began some time after hysterectomy. Look it up so you can see what I mean. Great videos and thank you for all you do to help us women!
Thank You Renee!!! I have the same questions as another viewer. Did they feel that the dosage of your patch was adequate? Did she increase your dosage OR added additional Hormones...? Thank you in advance for your answer!
I am not adding any other hormones...and my patch dosage is correct. I am adding 2 supplements to my daily routine. I didn't want to disclose those in the video because they are specific to me/my medical situation. And I don't want other women to take them just because I am...and they may not be right for her. But Midi did go over all of my medications and we discussed each thing individually to make sure it was correct for my situation :)
My gynecologist will not refer me to a specialists for hormones or menopause. I can not take hormones because my mom's cancer was estrogen fed, so I was advised not to take it. I just need to know things that I could do to help myself
For personal cancer or family hx Perhaps a low dose estradiol vaginal cream with annual uterus and breast ultrasound and there is some meds that can be used in these cases along with V cream
So far, the gynecologist just wants to put me to go on a low dose of antidepressant for hot flashes, and that made my BP go sky high. I am prepared to use a vaginally cream, but my gynecologist never said anything about that.
Wow. I’m on cholesterol meds too and I also take that brand of magnesium and Ive been taking them all together after dinner. So guess I will take my magnesium also before bed. Thanks.
Hi Renee! This was a great video and I'm so glad you shared this information with us! I'm curious if you recall the name of the software program that the menopause specialist used to tell you about your supplement/medication interactions? Thank you!
Hi! I don't know the name of the program she was using. I didn't actually see it personally as I was just witnessing her inputting my information and then telling me the results. But it provided invaluable information because 2 of my medications/supplements were in conflict. So glad I know this now.
I've been working with a Midi Health Specialist for about 9 months...still suffering. She told me, well, 20 % of patients don't get relief although I haven't tried everything available. Very frustrating.
Thanks for sharing! Renee, you,ve mentioned time ago that you use a transparent patch over your hrt patch. Do you use it all the time or only while swimming
Your menopause specialist sounds very much like the treatment I received from my naturopath. I luv my family doctor but she is often quick to suggest big pharma solutions as opposed to delving into alternative solutions. I just wish I could have had my menopause symptoms treated by my naturopath when I had my hysterectomy over 30+ years ago. It’s always so satisfying when we finally find a practitioner who listens to us as opposed to someone who is trying to rush through the allotted time before seeing her next patient.
After being congratulated on my "pregnancy" years ago, I did 20 to 25 minutes on an exercise bike around six days a week and my waist flattened right down in about three months. I don't know if it was fat or not but that's what worked and it never came back.
Could you please share with me how long it took you to find the right patch dosage ? I was on 0.025mg for 5 weeks, then 0.0375mg for 6 weeks, now on 0.05mg for 2 weeks. We are wanting to give the 0.05mg at least 12 weeks to see what happens. Also started on 100mg micronized progesterone three nights ago. How long did it take you to find right dose ? Please share if you don’t mind. Thank you
That is a super low dose of Estogen! I was given.0.5 mg and I increased it to 1mg. I had a total hysterectomy though,so I make 0 Estogen. Your body needs enough Estogen for bone, heart, skin heath and sooo much more.
I am not adding any other hormones...and my patch dosage is correct. I am adding 2 supplements to my daily routine. I didn't want to disclose those in the video because they are specific to me/my medical situation. And I don't want other women to take them just because I am...and they may not be right for her. Seems like no one is looking into the high cholesterol women are getting after a hysterectomy or mentapause. Maybe they need more HRT? Instead of a statin cholesterol medication. There is also more heart disease and bone density issues without HRT as well. Most Drs don't know anything about these issues and have an old school midset from old outdated incorrect data on HRT.
Great video, I had a radical hysterectomy two months behind you for very similar reasons. Your videos through this were so beneficial. I saw a menopause specialist before and after (Dr. Naomi Potter in the UK) and am very grateful I did. The service they provide is exceptional and worth the cost - it is private. Still trying to get my HRT dosage right - it is a journey if you struggle with dermal absorption. I have been on the 100 plus / 30 ratio for 6 months and introduced heavy weight lifting - my belly fat has gone. There are some great gals on insta following this same journey.
Hi! I had no problems with my bladder after the surgery other than a strange feeling for the first few weeks. That quickly resolved and I have full use/control of my bladder even now a year later.
That’s awesome Renee!! I love my menopause specialist but I’m thinking about making an appointment just to get a second opinion. Just curious have you had the “complete” blood testing done? It tells so much. It was very expensive but I’m happy I did it Love your videos girlie ❤❤
Hi! I have not had complete blood testing sone for hormones. Since my ovaries were removed during my hysterectomy, I pretty much now the important info and levels just based on that.
Hi Renee, Another great video. My week only has two days: Tuesday and Friday the days when you release your videos! Did you get an answer from her as to why you suddenly have developed a fat apron or pouch as you call it? My Mother used to call it a "spare tire". Would love to know why or the cause and also how to get rid of it. Thanks again
LOL yay! I didn't ask her "what" was causing the pouch. My question was more around how to get rid of it. We talked about protein, fiber and carb intake as I shared in the video. She also recommended a plant-based supplement that has been shown to specifically reduce belly fat in post-menopausal women. I've been taking it for 5 days now. I didn't want to name it in the video because I can't recommend that it will or will not work. Once I've been on it for a while and have results to share (or not), I'll share a video.
Great information. I had heard 25-30 grams of fiber a day is a good goal. I try to eat healthy, but struggle getting enough fiber. Did she give you any suggestions on that?
Thank yu for this !!! No one has ever told me to take magnesium hours before cholesterol meds. I normally take magnesium with dinner and cholesterol meds at bedtime. Sounds like I need to change this ??? Because if I take magnesium to relax me, then that would be too close to cholesterol meds. What is your new time routine on that ?
Hi! You should take magnesium supplement with dinner and cholesterol medication right before bed. You should have a minimum of 2 hours between them because magnesium can cause the cholesterol meds to not work properly.
That was actually something I spoke to them about during my appointment. The answer is yes they do....but it depends on the state you live in. Apparently there are heavy regulations regarding testosterone so they are limited state-by-state on what/how it can be prescribed.
Hi, if you dont mind me askin, what statin do you take? You seem to not have any bad side effects either?? Just curious, as my mom cannot find one that wont give her muscle cramps. No biggie if you'd rather not say :)
Hi - Unfortunately doctors have quotas now for how many patients they have to see in a day when they don't work for themselves. The healthcare in this country is changing and I think it's worrisome and artificial intelligence is going to make it worse. AI will be deciding our care and what is prescribed in the future. One of my doctors has discussed this on YT. Sounds like you found a great solution to this issue. We have to be our own advocate for our health because the medical community is changing and the focus is profit not patients!
So very true! I always feel rushed when I see my doctors in their office environment. Talking with Midi Health and knowing I had 30 minutes dedicated to only me was great!
I’ve been so disillusioned with GP/specialist experiences for years now. Feel rushed, leave without answers, feel that if l don’t ask all the questions, information is not provided. Also, don’t assume that your dr remembers/checks interactions of the medication you’re on- ask them to check. I know they are overwhelmed, covid was a taxing time and government changes have not been kind. Advocate and seek other opinions if your not satisfied...... but easier said than done with the expense hey.
Actually Renee the doctors are looking at their computers !!! Most dont even address the big issues you may have had on your last visit unless you bring up the subject. Plus there is no privacy for you or the doctor because that PC can see and record all that you say.. scary time !!!
FYI, unfortunately Midi Health does not accept Medicare patients AT ALL, even if you're willing to pay out of pocket! So much for helping any of us who are suffering as we age. 😕
Hi Kay! You are incorrect. When scheduling your appointment, simply select "self pay" instead of "insurance pay". It will allow you to proceed with your appointment. After your visit, you'll receive an invoice for $250 that can be paid online. That's exactly what I did because my insurance wasn't part of their accepted plan. Easy peasy. Please try again. Thanks!
@@WelcomeToMyCurls Renee, after speaking with a Midi Health rep, what I read on their website was correct. If you are 65+, and on Medicare, they will not accept you as a patient, even if you want to "self pay".
I spent over $ 6,000 On two different drs what a rip off and joke ! Long story short in 2007 I was in hospital for pulmonary blood clots In my FIRST appt I told her up front first thing that I had been in hospital a few weeks for blood clots in lungs no known reason why etc etc Anyhow she had me good thru the big book of paper work and urine test ONLY to be told at the 2nd appt that wow know wonder your feeling like you are etc etc The bad news is because you had prior blood clots we can’t do hormone replacement ! Funny I told her up front on first appt Don’t WASTE MY TIME OR MONEY or yours if prior blood clots means you couldn’t put me on them ! 2nd doctor said same thing but was more honest up front ! Didn’t have me test because of my history !

Blown away, I too never knew I should take my magnesium separately from my cholesterol med & I’m a nurse 🤦🏽♀️. My PCP knows squat about menopause.
Oh goodness!! So glad you learned something from my video 😀

It’s a shame we have to find this out on our own as menopausal women.
You are so welcome!!! You will love meeting with them. I learned so much valuable information.
I am interested to see what she had to say about the correlation between low estrogen and the increase in cholesterol .
I am too....my cholesterol has gotten higher since menopause
I have cholesterol too. Drs blamed my diet....I was vegan.. so cholesterol seemed odd thing to have

I was intrigued based on Renee's review for sure! Thanks as always Renee!!!
There are two new books out called The New Menopause by Dr. Mary Claire Haver, a menopause specialist, and a book on menopause nutrition called The Galveston Diet.
Yes! I am just learning about her! She has a lot of good info!
Yes! I have looked into lots of her information and videos 💕
Yes! She also recommends MIDI
@@dianad4633 may I ask what type of magnesium you use? Thanks
You are so very welcome!!!! 💕
Glad it was helpful! I found Midi to be an incredible resource 💙
I have used MIDI and I am thrilled! It is fantastic and I feel so much better.
Luckily I do have a great gynecologist and can treat some of my symptoms individually.
im so glad i found your videos. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
I love that you’re sharing this.
Omg Renee! I need this. You are so right. No information or oh well… it’s ridiculous. Thank you!!!! ok Im going to watch the video now!❤❤❤
Thanks Renee, what a great topic to talk about, there's not enough information out there!
Thanks Renee, I will be checking Midi Health out, that's for sure.
Good for you for taking this step! You may want to consider these folks channels for GREAT menopause advice: Dr Vonda Wright, Dr Mary Claire Haver, Dr Stacy Sims, Dr Barbara Taylor (“menopause Taylor “)
These are wonderful resources for HRT, working out, lifting heavy, protein needs, and lots of other good stuff!
Hi Renee
Another excellent video.
I’m going to definitely look into MIDI Health. I could use some good medical advice on this subject. Thank you!
Great informative video thank you. I'm on day 2 of taking a magnesium supplement
That's fantastic! Hopefully you'll feel the benefits!
You can absolutely get help with the night sweats. Mine were severe...but the correct dose of HRT has stopped them completely. Best of luck to you!
You are so very welcome! You can learn so much from Midi Health and get your specific issues addressed
Thank you
💗
Just watched your video, I would like to thank you for posting it and sharing.❤
Thank you for your video! Very helpful. What did she feel was causing the belly fat? I have the exact same problem. No weight gain just fat around the middle!
you look beautiful love the green shirt thanks for sharing always enjoy your videos very informative
Thanks so much!
Thank U so much Renee, U Rock. This is great information to Know and Share!
You are the bomb Rene’! I needed to hear your good news today! Thanks for doing what you do!
😁
Renee that belly fat you are experiencing isn’t necessarily at all from menopause but instead unfortunately from the full hysterectomy which you can look up what happens after that- our organs all shift to occupy the space where the organs were that were removed. Everything shifts downward and the skin goes with it and causes a “pouch” around the midsection. I am not sure how to combat it but I know other people same thing happened to and they are fit women and very active but pouch is there only and began some time after hysterectomy. Look it up so you can see what I mean. Great videos and thank you for all you do to help us women!
Your just glowing Renee what ever your doing it's definitely agreeing with you ❤
Oh thank you!
This is wonderful to know! I will definitely be checking this out! Thank you!!!!!
Great information! Thanks Renee!
You are so welcome!
Midi Health can absolutely steer you in the right direction. It's worth have a conversation with them for sure 💕
For personal cancer or family hx
Perhaps a low dose estradiol vaginal cream with annual uterus and breast ultrasound and there is some meds that can be used in these cases along with V cream
Thank you
So far, the gynecologist just wants to put me to go on a low dose of antidepressant for hot flashes, and that made my BP go sky high. I am prepared to use a vaginally cream, but my gynecologist never said anything about that.
Oh Renee, I’m so thankful for this information ❤❤❤ never thought to ask about mixing meds.
Hi! I only use it when I'm swimming. Bathing and showering are just fine without it :)
Can you share which magnesium you take? Thank you!
@@christineg4934 thank yu. Yes they needed to start me slow and gradually increase. My level of estrogen was
What supplements did they recommend?
Can I ask what dose of estradiol you’re taking?
Thank you. This was helpful. Is the person you had the appointment with a doctor, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner?
Mine is an np in my home state.
Any suggested on how to get that much fiber?
I was just wanting to know how you managing during all there tornadoes???
Hope your area is in the clear.
Did they want to add any other hormones to your regimen other than you taking your patch? Did they feel that your dose of your patch was OK for you?
I have the same questions!!!
Thank you..such a great video because I have been wondering how the telemedicine menopause appts go.
Alcohol will cause fat storage. Have you considered cutting alcohol?
Great video, I had a radical hysterectomy two months behind you for very similar reasons. Your videos through this were so beneficial. I saw a menopause specialist before and after (Dr. Naomi Potter in the UK) and am very grateful I did. The service they provide is exceptional and worth the cost - it is private. Still trying to get my HRT dosage right - it is a journey if you struggle with dermal absorption. I have been on the 100 plus / 30 ratio for 6 months and introduced heavy weight lifting - my belly fat has gone. There are some great gals on insta following this same journey.
Any temperary bladder problem as a result of removing the support of uteres? I have to go pee more often after 4 weeks now. I hope it gets better
It was very expensive but I’m happy I did it
Love your videos girlie ❤❤
Hi! I have not had complete blood testing sone for hormones. Since my ovaries were removed during my hysterectomy, I pretty much now the important info and levels just based on that.
Greetings Renee! What did she say about the belly fat or bloating? Inquiring minds want to know! Love and blessings ♥️🙏
Wow, great video!
What do you eat each day to get that much fiber as recommended? Might sound like a silly question
Great information. I had heard 25-30 grams of fiber a day is a good goal. I try to eat healthy, but struggle getting enough fiber. Did she give you any suggestions on that?
I have a small frame like you but have a bloating belly and I’m post menopausal😂😂😂💕
@@WelcomeToMyCurls sounds like I am taking it right. I thought in video it had said to take magnesium closer to bedtime for it to relax yu
Sometimes, hrt causes the weight gain in the stomach
No it’s menopause happens to my friends who are NOT on hrt
Do you also take multivitamins?
How do you personally manage to get that much fibre?
Honestly, I just had my appointment with Midi last week so I'm now looking at everything I eat and counting fiber. It's a challenge for sure.
@@WelcomeToMyCurls I get you. I have been reading up since watching you. I have learned so much so thank you for inspiring me. X
Great video! Do they prescribe testosterone?
That was actually something I spoke to them about during my appointment. The answer is yes they do....but it depends on the state you live in. Apparently there are heavy regulations regarding testosterone so they are limited state-by-state on what/how it can be prescribed.
@@WelcomeToMyCurlsthanks! I go through alloy right now but they don’t do testosterone. I may have to check this out!
Hi, if you dont mind me askin, what statin do you take? You seem to not have any bad side effects either?? Just curious, as my mom cannot find one that wont give her muscle cramps. No biggie if you'd rather not say :)
Hi! I’m taking 5mg of Crestor daily. I take it at bedtime…and I’ve had no side effects. Been in it for 5 months now.
This may be a dumb question but can they prescribe HRT?
Yes! That is how I went on HRT. They call it in to my pharmacy and my insurance covers it.
Absolutely yes they can! 😊

Thanks!
As an FYI…..if you’re Canadian this isn’t available here.
@@WelcomeToMyCurls Thanks for the correction!
@@WelcomeToMyCurls Renee, after speaking with a Midi Health rep, what I read on their website was correct. If you are 65+, and on Medicare, they will not accept you as a patient, even if you want to "self pay".
I spent over $ 6,000
On two different drs what a rip off and joke ! Long story short in 2007 I was in hospital for pulmonary blood clots
In my FIRST appt I told her up front first thing that I had been in hospital a few weeks for blood clots in lungs no known reason why etc etc
Anyhow she had me good thru the big book of paper work and urine test
ONLY to be told at the 2nd appt that wow know wonder your feeling like you are etc etc
The bad news is because you had prior blood clots we can’t do hormone replacement !
Funny I told her up front on first appt Don’t WASTE MY TIME OR MONEY or yours if prior blood clots means you couldn’t put me on them !
2nd doctor said same thing but was more honest up front ! Didn’t have me test because of my history !
❤❤❤❤
Statins are bad. You need to stop taking that. Please look into it.
Good morning! Great resource to have! Glad you got answers to your questions! Happy K&T were able to come for the weekend! Enjoy!!
Good morning! K & T here now....happy dance!
