Kinda, yeah. She's adorable! I've never said that about an anime character before in my life! The ones clearly intended to be cute usually just irritate me because they're usually useless. However, Nezuko is far from useless. She's cute and fun and I love watching her. She's also a badass. Lots of points for lovely little demon girl!
Tanjiro lets Inosuke get away with things like he does cause Tanjiro is an older brother. He treats him like a younger sibling.

Inosuke only gets better as a character and as a person as the story goes on. Tanjiro is an amazingly written paragon, and his affect on the people around him is most intense on Inosuke.

I think of those as him getting "the warm fuzzies". Also, try rewatching the scene with the grave digging for example. I'm like 90% sure Tanjiro is being genuine and it's unintentionally working on Inosuke as reverse psychology.

Tanjiro is being straightforward when speaking to people. He never meant to use any type of mental psychology on him.
Tanjiro is a clever and honest person, he's so honest that it catches everyone off guard and he, himself handles it really well. I really like Tanjiros character, one of my favorite protagonists if not my legit favorite. He's not overpowered as all hell but he's not stupid or a coward and everything about him balances him out so well. Very, very likable character in my opinion.
Inosuke has the energy of a little kid running down excitedly to show his parents how great his new dance choreography is and Gompachiro is the parent.

Another piece I love about Inosuke is that he IS simple minded. Whenever Tanjiro and the others speak, sometimes he doesn’t know the word because it’s above his language knowledge, so they have to user easier words for him when he asks.
Idk I just adore it because of my Japanese skill level, I’m right there with him going “descend? What kinda word is that?”
It’s such a fun character quirk. I especially love the scene where he doesn’t know what a train is a thinks it’s some big beast

I was trying to explain to my friend why i like Inosuke, but I despise Bakugo. He were insisting that they were entirely the same character and i disagreed greatly, but i couldn't explain how or why.

I stop read bnha because of bakugo. For me, he is bully, has inferior complex and so hard for me to like him. I really can't stand him. Inosuke is different. Yes he is competitive, but funny, not bully and he just want to be strong ( without inferior complex ini it). Even their character development are different. Inosuke is much better. He is the only loud mouth character that i like.

one thing that i think that people slip past when it comes to his personality is how he tries to fit in with the trio by copying what they say/do or making them copy what he said/did. an example is before he ascends the mountain with tanjiro, he calls the terrified zenitsu creepy, like when zenitsu called him creepy for having a feminine face.
another one is when he throws tanjiro into the air so he could slay the spider-mom directly from the air, just like how he had just slayed the headless demon directly from the air.

It actually took me a bit to really start loving Inosuke. The fandom made me excited to see him (and while they made it explicitly clear that he's a Feral Boi, I underestimated just how feral he actually was) and the first time we see him interact with any characters he's about to kill a little girl (when Tanjiro was holding her) and stepped on her too and gave absolutely no shits. I knew even then he was completely ignorant of most/all social graces and how to treat other people, but I thought for sure he'd be able to recognize that he shouldn't hurt innocents. It's like seeing a baby cub -- if only not to be killed by the angry mama bear, you don't touch them. They aren't threats to you, leave them alone. But apparently Inosuke wasn't aware of that, so I was actually kind of mad at him at first. I told my sister that while I like the cute dumbass, he was an ass at first, oh my God.
But I warmed up to him and as he developed more and especially as we saw him react to and grow to enjoy and crave those moments of kindness and acknowledgment he receives from others (the fact that he got flashbacks of those moments during the fight at Mt. Natagumo was absolutely perfect and probably the best moment for him in the series, so fucking sweet). It's so lovely. And those times when he's trying to provoke Tanjiro? He's like a little child, he's so cute.
Also, despite having seen his face BEFORE watching the anime (fan art and scenes from the anime) and KNOWING he had a beautiful face and feral personality, it was still a shock to have his face unveiled in the anime. I'm an anime veteran, I'D SEEN HIS FACE, but I was still shook by the Gap, damn. Well done, Yaiba.
I understand now why everyone loves him so much, and this video helped make it even clearer, too.
The last arc really helped make me love him. His spirit was crushed, and the fact that he didn't bounce back immediately (and took several episodes to do so) is something I really, really like. It makes him feel more multi-dimensional, that even characters like him need time and effort to become confident in themselves again after they've been broken down, and that makes me so much more excited about where his character will go.
He's my son, I've adopted him, and while's he's the cutest, Tanjiro still wins the Best Boy award for me.
He's too fucking *good* and pure to be anything else, but Inosuke comes pretty damn close.
Watch Inosuke's boar-ears, do you see the wiggles? That's it, that's what got me. Ear wiggles.

There is one thing I missed you didn't cover, and that's the genius and expert casting of Inosuke's japanese voice actor and the incredible sounds he makes. One of my favourite things about Inosuke is his laugh -- and that weird grunt he makes when Giyu ties him up.

I personally relate to him on a metaphysical level. Wanting to be good at everything you do, never stopping trying, loving people who praise him, it's how I feel on a daily basis
I honestly never thought that I'd like Inosuke as much as I would, but he's so bonkers and energetic that he just makes me laugh with his presence, and I love having the guy around.
he's one of those characters who relies a lot on the voice acting and animation to really sell him. And he's got top-notch work in both regards.
@@android19willpwn Oh yeah, he's easily one of the most expressive characters in the cast, along with Zenitsu (and it says something about this show's great writing/production that it can take the basic template for Mineta from MHA and turn him into a character we can root for).
Same! He was my least favorite/most hated character right up to when he stomped on Zenitsu and tried to kill Nezuko then became my absolute favorite like ONE episode later. This show is insane!

Well, just to tell you a bit about his character development in the manga, he learns about partnership and teamwork in some of the major battles.

MANGA SPOILERS
Before the fight against Upper Moon 6 he was in an undercover mission that involved wearing a Kimono. He stated (in his mind) during the mission that he felt like he is going to go crazy wearing it due to the heat and the fact it will “dull his senses”. So as you can see, Inosuke is not a fan of clothes.
The five swordsmen from Final Selection all have a super-enhanced sense:
-Tanjiro has enhanced smell
-Zenitsu has enhanced hearing
-Inosuke has enhanced touch
-Genya has enhanced taste
-Kanao has enhanced sight
So Inosuke not wearing clothes would actually prevent him from feeling changes in the air like he normally could

I love everything about Inosuke, and I normally dont say that about "explosive" type characters (I definitely wouldnt say that about Bakugou-not that I hate him per say, but he is by no means on my favorite character list). I think the character development for all the main characters is really well done and well paced. Im already excited to see Zenitsu grow into a more confident and brave character
I think Inosuke started to really catch my attention when he would get all soft and quiet whenever someone was complimenting him or being nice. ☺️ it definitely gives him more depth cause it’s not JUST him being loud and aggressive.

@@android19willpwn Nezuko helped kill at least two demons near the beginning (the first, flamboyant demon they encountered in episode two and the trio of my least favorite characters, those demon creeps in episode 5 or whatever). Zenitsu has only killed two demons on screen so far and helped save Tanjiro's life 0 times (so far), unlike Nezuko. Plus he only became a main character halfway through the series.
Ok ok, it sounds like I'm dunking on Zenitsu and making him sound like he's a less important character than Nezuko. Neither is true. But Nezuko is a very important character, all over the art for the anime and apparently manga covers and Tanjiro's whole mission in life. She is not just some side character...bird.
They're about to become more than a trio in later episodes (assuming we have next seasons).

Inosuke is just so freaking adorable and relatable! This last episode, when he got his new swords.....well I just about died laughing. All I could think was “That’s so Inosuke” LOL

I was kinda impressed when that happened. I only noticed why I started to like him more and more after I saw that scene, where we get his backstory (that he didn't know either). He was slowly getting more likeable, because he was developing, like this video pointed out.
