Dear Thorsten, your words might sound simple, but to find new unseen ideas for photography in Paris (France) is very difficult. But with the luxury of time at your hands it is a pleasure.
I love that you made an effort to film in Paris for UA-cam.
In 2020, based in your videos, I decided to buy the Summilux TL 35 mm lens in Paris and the experience to be in France with this lens surpassed my expectations.
Good advice is rarer than rubies.

I don’t like spending too much time on post processing. I can always find a few good ones I like from the many I have taken with my M9 and Summilux lenses.

    Great advice as ever Thorsten.
It’s a shame a lot of people don’t print their work nowadays. I use a service that give you 30 free pictures a month and try and use as much as possible. Also, for long weekends or holidays I get a book made. I feel it makes the images so much more meaningful.
I recently started a 365 photo project. That does force you to wear a camera and also to make something every day.
Visiting a new place I’m like most people and full of awe and shoot loads. But at home on a boring , mundane, drab day really challenges you to look and observe and make something.
I put them on my blog, most are nothing special but I think it really trains the eye and makes you put the work in.

In "A Movable Feast" Hemingway said "Just write one good sentence, then go on from there." This book was his memoir, ironically, of his time in Paris, published posthumously. So, just take one good picture, then go on from there.

@ Enjoy. I often think of this quote as motivation to get out with a camera, especially during the winter months in the Midwest U. S.

Bags are for transport on travel, but what? Who needs more than a camera and a lens, who has 3-4 eyes to switch with his default eye, or arms or legs. You use what you have, not what you have not or not instantly accessible. Buy a bag for large format, studio or static planned productions. Life isn‘t staged, that‘s what makes it hard for AI forever!
