It's quite an indictment against Barry and the defense that they give Love and the offense a 17-point hole to dig out of. Good for the offense but they should never be in a situation like that to begin with. And 17 unanswered points doesn't make the offense look so hot either. But the playoffs have begun for the Packers. Beat the Bears this week and move on.
When an offense can't sustain drives to burn clock, of course the defense is going to be on the field more. 17 points over 3 quarters is not an unreasonable amount for a defense to give up while a young offense is trying to figure itself out. And it needs to be stated that the defense held them to that for the rest of the game. This was a great comeback and more than anything showed a lot of intangibles you want in a team's mentality. Barry has done plenty of subpar things, but this score was not the D's fault.
