Dude! You've got no idea haha. I've discovered soooo much more too! Will make another Short to show what they tried to get away with. Slowly getting my "Exposing" vid together for all of ya. This channel as well as myself, are all about the player(s).
Pats + Patents. Not parts. The Floyd Rose Patent is rather terrible for the guitar community resulting in a lot of garbage being produced. While we all love the original Floyd design, the patent resulted in all this garbage being produced. I would not be surprised if it turned out the company has made more money from the licensing scheme verses sales the actual original Floyd Rose. The biggest difference in quality comes down to the materials and the tools used. Zinc Alloy is a softer metal so much so the tools last longer during manufacturing. Most of the Licensed designs uses Zinc Alloy parts. Interestingly the genuine German made Floyd Rose II used Zinc alloy saddles to appeal to more traditional players who felt the steel saddles of the original sounded too thin and bright. Anyways, the only available after market "Licensed Under Floyd Rose Patents" bridge worth anyone's time is a Gotoh GE1996T. Just stick with those and you can save yourself a whole lot of time and trouble. 🍻
Yep yep! I've been playing Floyd's probably 14 out of the 23 yrs I've been playing, and granted I had my issues in the past with SOME licensed Floyds, nothing has amounted to this lol. Always wondered though about that Gotoh one, thanks for heads-up on that one buddy, will definitely look into thoughs. Thanks for watching and commenting too
Hahahaha 😂😆😂 oh dude 🤣😎 thanks for this specific comment!! Needed I great 👍 laugh like! Its definitely been chucked around the studio a couple dozen times lol...I did take the Allen Screws off it for just Incase purposes (always smart to salvage what you can for future repairs setups etc). I've kept this one particular "false" Trem as a guide more or less. Use it to show others clients what to watch out for. Once again, thanks for watching, commenting! Follow (and Hit the Bell) cause about to drop/release new 'Tech Tip' vids & The final video of the 7string restored!
that is actually criminal
