So I did all of that, but I was trying to upgrade to chromeos flex and now it's stuck on a screen and reboots over and over after being stuck on a screen. It says " your system is repairing itself. please wait", then reboots. its clearly just doing this over and over and not solving anything.

Oh thank you so much my screen freeze and I could not do anything with it, but i took your advice and used all but the one that worked for my Chromebook was the refresh but and start up button. Thank you again 🎉

Same issue here, on an ASUS C423N Chromebook. I successfully downloaded the recovery OS onto a USB flash drive. It loaded successfully into the bad Chromebook, but then it goes right back into another boot loop!. I repeated the entire process and it went into the boot loop again. What to do now???

You might want to open up the Chromebook and check the CPU if it needs thermal paste due to the HOT SUMMER.

I installed the chromeos into the flash drive from the utility extension as you explained but when I try to recovery the os it says an unexpected error happened.

hi try using sd card but use the sd card reader not the usb one.. I've got problem with usb but when i tried sd card reader it was successful
