    Still the best movie ever about Ulysses. The modern movies, even with the CGI can't compare to the atmosphere this old movie generates. The acting is a hundred times better too.

    It's good old Polyphemus. I thought this movie was the livin' end when I was a kid and it's still pretty good, certainly better than the endless sword and sandal epics that it spawned for a decade or so after.

    This scene scared the shit out of me as a kid
    Maybe because of how unsettling they made the cyclops eye look

    hey Ulysses never messed around Polyphemus's cave ....he asked for hospitality and instead the Cyclop started eating his men.

    Idk. This giant in this story is always so funny. He goes from eating them alive to saying jokingly ”i’ll be back soon” like he’s saying it to his son.

    Now I understand why Polyphemus was freaking mad when he caught the Greeks in his cave. How would you like it if a rowdy bunch trespassed into your home, stole and roasted your sheep, ate your cheese and messed up your place?

    I'm confused: They refer to Zeus by his greek name but they refer to Poseidon in his Roman name?(Neptune)

    • @arundhatibhattacharya7911
      @arundhatibhattacharya7911 7 років тому

      Poseidon was the Titan God of Sea...the Titan's..King Saturn's men were defeated by the Olympians...Jove's men...Jove was the son of Saturn...Jove is also called Zeus....the name of Olympian Sea God is Neptune......both are Greek
