  • This rousing World War II tale is set in February 1943. H.M.S. destroyer ‘Hecate’ is pulled out of convoy escort duty to tow the crippled (and abandoned) Greek tanker ‘Antioch’ 500 miles across the North Atlantic from the spot where she had been attacked by a German wolfpack to the safety of a British port.

Good show. Is this the basis for the movie Greyhound with Tom Hanks?

Quite similar. CS Forrester's fictional book The Good Shepherd was the basis for Greyhound. (Excellent film!) This play was written about a real life incident in a book of the same name by I D A Rayner. Derring do & amazing heroics by the Royal Navy. Such bravery leaves you speechless. 📻

    "" Fantastic Scripts ""
Display definitely needed more time !
If it had, it it could have been graduated into a suburb of miniseries. That is how well the actors did in the play.
Now that's just my opinion and everyone has their own opinion of what they mentally consumed !
    Now with this last ,
    I just typed out. ?
While you're eating your breakfast with your wife an eating bacon and eggs chew on that paragraph a little bit. ?
    Then, think about,
What you have absorbed what from this play as you chew your bacon

I think the American Civil War would make great audio dramas. Same with the Revolutionary War. History is the BEST!👌🏻
