I think the idea is that it’s an all in one and you don’t have to have any other bits of kit to watch a video - that said I would prefer a model with and one without speakers.

Adjusting the screen coverage by means of the cornerstone takes up pixel, therefore loosing pixel count. Projectors should always be optically adjusted. Using the cornerstone is a last go to if you really have to.

The LG cost almost 6K but it does have the .66 dmd chip which has a native resolution of 2716x1528 . The optoma p1 cost about 3700, but it has the .47 dmd chip which has a native resolution of 1080p, which it is why it can do 3d.
I was thinking of buying it until I found out it's not native 4K but using pixel shifting. I currently have a lg pf1000uw, I got for $1000 USD when it was new, I love it. The cheapest true 4K UST is from Sony BTW. I'm waiting for a true 4K UST to drop below $5k USD.

That is the comparison I'm looking for also. Spec wise, the xiaomi allows for 3d content to be played, which for me is very important. And at the price of the LG, if the picture quality isn't better, I could buy the xiaomi, and put the saving into my sound system.

Good review, but... No ARL screen? Those are specially made for Ultra Short Throw Laser Projectors. If u use such screen you can watch the laser projector in brought daylight. If you review such devices, please use the right screens to get the full potential out of it.

I spent $189 on the Vankyo 510 720p on your recommendation. 135" on my white wall, no external speakers. Honestly I am not missing my 75" 4K Samsung. I have to question just how much I really need when you have a bare bones set up that works. I hope you get a chance to review the Viewsonic x1000-4k when that finally arrives.

The fact of not needing an external audio system is BS, unless you believe the built in speaker can replace a 7.1.4 surround system. Moreover the design has not been bright enough to introduce a line in (or a speaker in) channel fothe projector to act as the center channel as the projector and the center channel would occupy the same physical space in a home theater setup. They are not alone in this, it seems nor them and neither their competitors can be bothered to think about this (fundamental?) use case.
Is there a zoom lens? Can I put the projector 4' away and zoom in and get a 95" diagonal screen size? Or does the projector absolutely have to be positioned close to the wall?
would this work if i used my white wall or should i get a screen? also i have only mac products so would it be possible to mirror my ipads or imac etc on this ? thanks you so much

The model that came out last year was 2400 -2700 this is over 2x as much granted this new one is ultra short throw but they should of priced this thing at 4K not 6k.

this only does 4k @ 30 htz no 60 htz this is not 2012 anymore so i would not buy this one this is why no game play was shown on this system xbox one s /x will have a real hard time
@mind seed TV would love to know the minimum screen size this projector can achieve. I have a wall above my mantle that would only fit up to a 65 inch display. Is it possible with this LG product?
I am sorry but this is a really poor quality review. No comparison with other projectors (side by side picture quality), no mention of the outputs/inputs, no mention on why the 3 lasers is better than splitting the 2 lasers to 3, no mention of what kind of speakers are actually in the projector (up firing, Atmos etc.). Sheesh..

hey mate! you should really use Potplayer as your movie player and Madvr as your video renderer, madvr is the best for watching movies on projectors!

It displays 90in at 2inches so maybe smallest would be about a 70 however at 6k you could get a 4k 65inch for about 6-800$
