The videographers for Planet Earth deserve every reward on earth. It is genuinely astonishing the footage they capture. By FAR the best of the best footage of animals and nature that humans have ever captured.
You can tell which scenes are CGI..... They do NOT find all those animals like that 9/10 times lol.... There is probably documented on paper instances of animals gathering and doing certain things, but it's not all 100% real footage.
I have to burst your bubble a bit. A friend of mine is an editor (who also worked for Planet Earth) and I know that some of these images are modified / enhanced ;-). But still, the basic source material consists of footage shot by camera crew.
@@ianallardyce4222I'm not saying they don't, the production value of these shows is as good as it gets. I almost fell off my chair with joy when I got the notification that Planet Earth 3 is out. The music sounds amazing, and the most special thing about it is that David Attenborough is narrating it. Hats off to all the people who created this amazing documentary ❤
Im so excited for this beautiful documentary. Its tragic over this trilogy sometimes it feels nature documentarians have beenchronicling the rapid changes taking place in the biosphere. Im eternally grateful.
They sadly have to. As great as the Planet Earth series is, one of its biggest criticisms towards educating the public about nature and the issues that wildlife around the world face, is that we don't see them. Attenborough, the legend that is, will maybe mention that they're endangered for one reason or another, but we always see the animals in these pristine, untouched wildernesses. In a way, it makes it seem like there is no problem and that Attenborough, and anyone else that talks about or works to combat these issues, is making them up out of nothing. We no longer have that luxury. The environmental concerns surrounding our planet and its continued survival, as well as our own survival, are more important than ever. The consequences of our overexploitation of Earth and its wildlife has mounted to a point where the people responsible for these problems can no longer sweep it under the rug and pretend it isn't there. Climate change is no longer some fringe theory made by environmental fanatics, it is real and its is actively affecting people. Overfishing, overhunting, and overuse of soil is making people starve or plunging them into poverty. The land we walk, the water we drink, the air we breathe is slowly, but surely becoming as poisonous as the pollutants we recklessly pump into it. Even the farthest, most remote, most inaccessible points of the planet are no longer safe from our actions. These documentaries now not only serve as a reminder of what we have and what we're fighting for, but what we're fighting and how people fighting it - and if not that, an archive of what we failed to save. These documentaries are a rallying cry, and a spark of hope in an otherwise uncaring, dark void that it isn't too late, that we can turn things around, that we can have a brighter future. But only if we're aware that there is even a fight to begin with.
Planet Earth series are probably the best documentaries about the nature so far. Can't wait 3rd episode release. Seriousness of David Attenborough's voice, breathtaking views of sceneries and soundtrack made by Hans Zimmer makes this unique. It makes us believe in the bright future of our beautiful planet! 🌍
This song contains so much meaning. At 0:35, the lyrics "And so she will provide for as long, for as long as she can. She'll be beautiful, so beautiful, for as much as she can stand" really hit hard. Mother Nature is resilient, but Earth has gone through so much devastating changes in the last 100 years alone, it's hard to recover from the damages we've inflicted. As long as everyone is willing to step up and play their part to stop global warming, mother nature can still bounce back from this crisis.

The first wildlife documentary trailer that bought tears to my eyes especially the lyrics part on, "Forgave us, Mother Nature!" Scene destruction on earth. Magnificent and majestic for the third time.
Really looking forward to watching. This is one of the very few things the BBC get right
It's really awesome to experience the fascinating world around us. The scenery is breathtaking and the way Sir David Attenborough presents it the public is awesome. God bless Sir David. I love the presentation
The first series were the first movies I ever saw and I am unable to describe how much I admire and respect the people that set out to create these masterpieces and endured throughout their challenging creation.
They aren’t movies they are documentaries.
@@manmaje3596Oxford dictionary: "[countable] a series of moving pictures recorded with sound that tells a story, watched at a movie theater or on a television or other device"
Yes, you are right, the connotation is fictional but I wanted to make clear that they were the first series of pictures showing a motion I ever saw.
