Not really, its the balance of different cannabinoids. There are studies that introduce isolated terpenes with thc concentrate and they find the high doesnt really change for most people, its likely just placebo.

I bought that "30%" Mimosa, I guestimated it was about 22%, it was worse than that! Pretty pathetic that medical can be 2/3rds of the stated potency
Yeh they test it when it’s fresh but if it sits around for too long it loses potency and they know this so they usually just stick to those initial results despite how old the product is, a lot of places actually retub buds close to expiry etc, sounds like this mimosa was many such cases lmao

Testing THC content is a little misleading as it does not test the strength of the THC. So something with 16% THC could well indeed get you more lit than something with 20% THC. IT comes down to the strength of the THC, not the content of THC.
I’m sure it’s more like what terpenes are in the bud that can make a low thc be stronger than a high thc .
Its not just about THC, its about THCV and CBD and the complex interaction between these and other cannabinoids.

Street buds are often the same strains as medicinal although grown in different settings.
The machine is not as accurate as lab testing and these videos are made for entertainment purposes, the stats shouldn't be compared to med labels.
@@CrazeCollective The thing is though, most med labels only have to have one single bud test at say 27% for the entire batch to be labelled 27%.
@@drunkbrick these people know less than nothing, dont ever listen to a word they say. Apart from the machine being a gimmick, the main reason you see labls stating higher thc is that it degrades over time. Tests for labels are obviously done with fresh product, basically the longer you keep it the more potency it can lose, especially if stored at improper temperature and humidity.
