i was at this game. ive been to well over 100 baseball games, including cespedes' first as a met, and none were as good as this one. the stadium was electric on everything.
I was at Cespdes first game as well,also against the Nats with deGrom pitching..Huge implications in that game ( and series that we swept) I remember it being a huge, extremely loud crowd, but seems like this one had it beat. Both great games to be at however. LFGM

It's just the bullpen now that really needs to come together, and/ or we got to go out of the org and make some moves. I really did like the Brach signing though, I think he's gonna be a real good addition . Took 2/3 from Nats was exactly what we needed to do, now we're poised to head into ATL and do some damage. Huge series coming up. LFGM!

This was such a good game. I really enjoy watching Mets games for whatever reason. I'm a Red Sox fan too! Maybe it's the announcers? The games just seem so raw and authentic too. Entertaining to say the least. Bravo!
Mets do have the best announcers in baseball. I've lived outside of the NY area for a number of years now, and the Philly and Washington announcers just aren't the same. Not even close.

@@quaids32 A lot was at steak with this game. Through their entire incredible run over the past few weeks they had a very easy schedule, playing many bad teams. The question was can they keep it going against good teams. The fans had an expectation for them to do so, and the skeptics were looming as well. A lot of eyes were on this game and they came out and made a statement that they are for real.
This is why it’s most fun to be a Mets fan. This doesn’t happen often, but when it does happen it’s 10x more exciting than any other team

2016 was an incredible run as well,they were 2 games under 500 late in August with have their team having season ending injuries and totally written off but still managed to host the wild card game.too bad that WC game ended so terribly .

But considering that we all figured this was a lost season three weeks ago, and the Mets have been on an absolute tear ever since,beating up on all the bad teams, and we all wanted to know if it was for real, if they could beat the teams that aren't in the basement, this was a statement win, and a huge momentum booster.

So I went to this game for my birthday with my mom, who means the world to me. So she wanted to wanted to go top of the ninth because the game looked over and we wanted to beat traffic. There was every indication she was right. Mets were 0-44 when trailing after the 8th inning.... thank god I made her stay. Best birthday ever. Best game I’ve ever been to. Thank you Mets. #LFGM

JD Davis ran like a mad man out of the dugout after Conforto's hit. He wasn't even on the top step of the dugout and made a mad dash out running everyone. Most exciting game of the year.
Didn’t the “experts” laugh at the Strollman trade. The Mets have the deepest 1-5 starting pitching in the National league now. If their bullpen can just pitch decently they have a shot to make a playoff run the way they’re hitting.

Stroman hasn't been good for us so far. deGrom, Syndergaard, Wheeler are as good as any top three, and when Matz is on, he can be quite good too, but he's inconsistent. I have no idea what we have in Stroman yet though. Two games, he didn't look good in either, but maybe he's just adjusting to a new team, new league, etc. I'm hoping he'll unfuck himself.
