- Looking back on 2015, I personally believe that the New York Mets proved to us that a story doesn't necessarily require a happy ending in order to be truly memorable.
The season ended up being all about the journey, an exhilirating one that we'll never forget!
On behalf of all of us who bleed blue and orange, we thank you, Metsies, for what was truly an Amazin' ride!

Man I'm getting emotional. This was a magical season and I may have mentioned the mets in almost every sentence from April until November, but man was it worth it. It's nice knowing that even with many members of this great team going away, there is a lot of hope for next year. Great pitching with a front office that's making sufficient moves to get a better offense. But in 2015, being a mets fan makes us all smile

Wish I was alive for '86 born in '89 , kinda remember 2000. But '06 and '15 were incredible rides, '15 probably being the most fun out of all of them. That whole second half of the season was full of memorable moments and stories I was convinced that was the year. Only thing that would've made it complete not counting the World Series, was Bartolo Colon's homerun that same year instead of the next. Thanks for bringing me back.
It was a happy ending. If they had won it all, it would have been an even happier ending.

I love this team!!! Through the good and bad seasons the mets fans have seen it all but oh boy was this 2015 a miracle. I have never been so happy watching the Amazin Mets since 2006. I am glad to see this team restoring its power from 2006 and growing back into a playoff competing team.I believe in 2016 we can do as well if not better then 2015 even though we are losing some big names we can still do this. LETS GO METS!! give us a world series title!!! METS FOR LIFE!!!!

The week of July 24-31 was the turning point of the season.
July 24-acquisition of Kelly Johnson and Juan Uribe from the Braves.
July 25-Johnson home run.
July 26-Uribe walk-off double.
July 29-Wilmer Flores and Zack Wheeler are supposedly traded to the Brewers for Carlos Gomez, leaving Flores on the field crying.
July 29-The Flores and Wheeler trade has fallen apart, and will not happen.
July 30-Mets blow a six run lead in the last three innings in pouring rain.
July 31-Moments before the trade deadline, acquisition of Yoenis Cespedes from the Tigers.
July 31-Flores walk-off home run.
Also, many people forget this, but in between the failed Flores-Wheeler-Gomez trade and the Cespedes acquisition, the Mets were close to acquiring Jay Bruce from the Reds, but the Reds backed out at the last second.

Been a Mets fan since I was born 2007 my fav player all time was Daniel Murphy so I cried every time they showed him.
It wasn't Cespedes coming to the Mets, but the Flores HR after the no-trade crap that I feel the the Mets became truly unshackled, when it seemed like it was definitely going to turn around. Now, can they remain unshackled?

We did it 30 years ago, last year we showed the world what we can do and this year is the year we show the world we are CHAMPIONS
Hopefully 2019 will be a magical year. Also, it will be 50 years of the Amazing 1969 Mets.
This was a great season. They (people at ESPN and MLB) say that the Mets offense will not be the same as it was with Cespedes, Uribe, and Johnson, but hopefully d'Arnaud will be healthy for the whole season, Conforto won't be in a platoon, and Neil Walker will play like he did in Pittsburgh. All in all, the offense may not produce like it did the last three months of the season, but it could be pretty good. And with the pitchers, Harvey, Syndergaard and deGrom hopefully will be let loose and pitch 200 innings, Matz will pitch near what the aforementioned three did, and Wheeler could have some nice contributions when he returns. So the Mets could still be very dangerous in 2016.

I went to KC for game 1. (Forgetting that the Mets have NEVER won Game 1 of a WS.) 14 innings behind the Mets dugout (okay, row 20, but still the right section) in the rain. I still can't believe Alex Gordon's ball went out. There were balls that were crunched and didn't reach the track, because of the weather. Such a bummer.
And yet…the thrill of my lifetime. Thank you, Mets.

+COYII I agree, I think Cabrera is also rather underrated. True, he isn't leaps and bounds better than Flores offensively, but he's got some pop in his bat and is incredible defensively. I love Flores so much but I'll be happy to let him sit behind Cabrera.

Always brings a smile from ear to ear seeing this! Would do anything to do it over. It had it all. The teary Wilmer/Wheeler trade that wasn't. The Wilmer walkoff. The Cespedes trade. Cespedes 2nd half tear. Murph's postseason rampage. Harvey. deGrom. Thor. Matz. Big sexy. Truly something special. I believe that there is an alternate reality out there where the Mets win it all that season!
towards the end the part when they playing the cubs I was at the game Harvey pitched and this video just brought me back and it is still one of the main reasons I love baseball so much
