As a test, try adding pigmentation to skin tone before basic skin tone and deck tan steps. Add these colors with very low air pressure so it shoots droplets. Heavily watered-down inks: - purple - red - green Then proceed with rest of the skin tones and it truly brings them life.
I use the magnets in figures to transfer the low voltage power. Magnets in the base and in his feet with matched polarity would allow you to remove him for transport/etc. when you stand him in the base the magnets that hold him in place would act as contacts 👍🏻. LOVE the channel and the new style vids. Keep up the amazing job
I thought of doing this but I dunno if I can take that much time to set all that up. After all I do have to make a model or project every week so time is very limited. Also do you just solder to the magnet?
you could have connections with magents - between legs and the base. Magnets would close the connection between model with leds and battery pack in the base and it would light up. Switch can also be in the base to not light it up everytime magnets close connection.
damn it, Dad! Now, I have to print and paint this! Love from India! Amazing replacement to the Fairy flesh set, and thank you for another entertaining video
I really enjoy watching the process from start to finish even without the "hook" in the middle. Love your commentary throughout and absolutely love the endings
Another excellent video and model can't wait to see the extended version over on the Patrons area, hopefully i will learn how the hell you get your paints to work from your paint brush so smoothly.
I always enjoy your videos. Your earnest commentary is both refreshing and hilarious. Keep doing what you do and be you. Nice job on the LED bolt Zeus!!! :D (also the skin formula is super handy)
Awesome as always. Skin tones look great, makes sense to buy the paints individually. Although I bought the fairy flesh set after seeing the results you were getting, I see it comes down to painting skill and the time you put into the model really. Great Work!
Honestly, not really a big fan of the look produced by the pinkle technique, but rather than bleep off, I'll just instead say that regardless of HOW you film your videos, I always find them entertaining and informative. You do make it seem far more easier than it really is! 🤠
Yes, I do like the changes to your super secret flesh recipe lol. You're right, individual colors are easier to keep in stockpiling than a kit. Zeus came out great.
Every time you figure out a different skin tone recipe I think it can't get better... and then it gets better. It looks awesome! Love the changes, miss the dolphin noise tho
Hi mate, love the videos. Do you have a recommendation for a metallic red acrylic paint? I have tried quite a few but they all seem to be pink, not red. Many thanks
No magical Orcish Dermis? I am shocked. Quick questions: instead of transparent red, i assume a thinned down regular red would work just the same, or perhaps a red ink? Secondly, if i don't have the medium fleshtone color, would natural flesh from fairy set be a good replacement? Thanks for giving me hope that nice easy skintones are doable.
Brother, I have a question if it is possible? I want to buy a resin printer (I'm a beginner) for large statuettes 1/4 scale and a little bigger ..... I don't know what to choose between anycubic phantom m3 max and uniformation gwtwo?? I think you are the best able to give me advice on how much experience you have! Thank you for your answer !
As always amazing print and paint! One thing I am struggling with when using the airbrush is the air pressure. In your videos you state low air pressure but what does that mean on the machine? Yes i know what low means but how low do you go when doing your skin tones?
Low enough that it’s still sprays smooth and doesn’t spatter. This number will be different for all of us. Just spray a tissue or paper to see what it does as you turn down the pressure at the compressor. I do this for more finer control as less paint comes out. The thinner the paint the lower you can go. So thin the paint a bit more than usual to drop pressure.
@@Groundeffected Thanks as always for your replies. Do you leave it an hour or more/less before doing the next layer? I am never sure so leave it for ages lol
“Right now” instead of “Right meow”. No 🐬. We truly are seeing an alternate negaverse Brent. The videos these days seem like a natural progression in pace from the old ones, but I must admit I miss the sideways crouching on a chair “your dad” intros. I imagine opening up the studio has left less time for the weird skits, as well as the additional patreon content we’ve been getting. Just a PSA about the patreon: If you want to get started and make some amazing display pieces, the youtube stuff is already amazing. If you watch some of the older videos you’ll get a bit more experimentation and processing. If you want to see painting with all the extra steps because you can’t quite figure it out still, or are second guessing your results, the Patreon videos will help. A 12 minute youtube video has a lot to go over, while a 40 minute patreon video is a long time to expect a comedy show to last. It’s a fair split. Have fun painting.
Had it for a few months now. It does as it should no problems. It’s a printer dude. They all have their quirks. And they’re made in the thousands so you might get a bad apple it’s a chance with any item bought that’s mass produced. But in general they all work as the should and last as long as how well you treat them I guess. It’s a decent machine. For me it’s a fast printer. If I need prototyping it’s perfect for that. I haven’t actually even printed at lower layer heights because for me it fits into its space in my workflow as a fast printer only. But it’s more than capable of fine details too
Anyone have some advise my airbrush keeps clogging and not spraying consistent , i watered my paint down a lot so i doubt that is the issue and also cleaned the entire air brush a few times. Also do you guys go through needles alot ? mine seem to get damaged very easily...
maybe you could just do your normal video and do a special section of 1-2minutes something that you already done, not the whole procedure@@Groundeffected
It might be hard to make an entertaining video. But you nail it every time! Awesome painting as always
Thank you so much 😀

Looks epic. I’ll get this down one day. Spray, spray and spray again
Keep going. You got this.
Trying all sorts of things! Continue to great art.

Haha sorry not sorry
your videos are always entertaining

Thanks dude. I appreciate that.
DUDE!! That turned out so RAD! Nice work your dad, you killed it bud.
I'm proud to say I'm finally at a place where I have all of the paints that you usually use in your videos 😆😆
Another excellent video and model can't wait to see the extended version over on the Patrons area, hopefully i will learn how the hell you get your paints to work from your paint brush so smoothly.
Splendida statue!!! Awesome Paint!!!!
Awesome presentatiom!!! You keep it entertaining and never boring. Thanks for keeping it that way!
Thanks for watching.
I’ve been binge watching your videos. Your format is awesome, your painting is amazing, and deck tan is my new favorite color.
He looks awesome! Great work as always and a very fun video to watch. I put some words in the box provided by UA-cam :)
Awesome! Thank you!
your videos have really helped me with my painting. You do such a great job. Thank you for putting these videos out there for us
My pleasure.
The videos have always been solid. greate modles, good paint job and a little bit of humour.
I always enjoy your videos. Your earnest commentary is both refreshing and hilarious. Keep doing what you do and be you. Nice job on the LED bolt Zeus!!! :D (also the skin formula is super handy)

Man, I've liked all your videos. Great Content!
Looks awesome, that fairy flesh set replacement looks brilliant

Fairy flesh is still amaze!!! It just went out of stock since it became so popular for some reason.

It’s not for every one I guess. I just like the high contrast look so much.
Killing it with the led lights lately rock on

Thank you

Ok ok. I’ll bring him back. It’s just a bloody mission to copy the sound paste it. Haha I’m lazy ok!
Another week, another badass model.
Stunning once again !!!
Gran said she loved your ted talk! ❤
Big up gran!
Awesome as always!
Looks great as usual Dad. I'm hoping you will do Princess Mononoka in the future.
I for one was entertained. Great video as always, My Dad. Do you cover your new fleshtone paints elsewhere?
Love these man.
Whoua , every time I get a visual slap !
Very well done!
The final thoughts are enough to keep me coming back.
Looks fantastic!
Great work! Are you indeed using the "032-Pro Acryl Bronze" model from Monument Hobbies in this video?
Hi mate, love the videos. Do you have a recommendation for a metallic red acrylic paint? I have tried quite a few but they all seem to be pink, not red. Many thanks
Majestic 👍
When do you decide what to airbrush and hand paint?
Most blends I feel look better with airbrush so I do anything that need a blend
Great fun, this video
Hey Dad, does strengthening your resin with something like Tenacious help with shrinkage?
Skin tone is lovely 😮
Thank you dude.
Hi, is it a requirement to prime them all black and then use white primer over it for flesh parts?
That bronze is a lovely paint.
Agreed.
What paint brand was it? Hope you dont mind.
Monument hobbies.
Perfect!!!

Awesome paint work and model but. How do you finish this? Maybe a varnish or something?
Yea. I sprayed matt varnish in various layers as I went.
Are revell colors good on this? Or you recommend only vallejo?

Amazing
Salut, la peinture de la peau est vraiment réussi.

Do you print the bases in resin too?
Links for the light please
i love your video's but pleeeeeaaaasssseee add the dolphin noise at the end i miss it 😂
Ok ok. Sorry. Lazy person here 🙋🏼♂️
Anyone have some advise my airbrush keeps clogging and not spraying consistent , i watered my paint down a lot so i doubt that is the issue and also cleaned the entire air brush a few times.

9:21 Zeus has a heroin problem.
I love the way the skin came out. Looks amazing.
What does the GK mean?
Continue the amazing work you do! Keep posting more non-marvel figures (try doing some anime/LoL/Warcraft)
It’s a pity they do so badly with views. 😢
maybe you could just do your normal video and do a special section of 1-2minutes something that you already done, not the whole procedure@@Groundeffected
Many patreons don't allow to sell their 3d models in physical form if they are painted, why is that so??
Dad, I was going to paint Zeus too... you beat me to it
Ha Ha! Reference to Barney the purple git dinosaur.
what scale is it?
Looks like 1/6
1/6th
And your dad plays another blinder like it’s a walk in the park !!
WHY CAN'T I FIND ANY DECK TAN BRENT?? IM NOT PAYING £5 A BOTTLE ONLINE!
Oh no. I hope it’s not another fairy flesh set situation
@@Groundeffected I'm hoping its just a 'Boyes stores in the North East are lazy' situation
Im going to skip to the last few seconds 😃 5:48 . 😑 Dont go🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
