Border wall seizes properties
Back in September 2018 the U.S. government requested an 18-month right to clear and survey Nayda Alvarez's property in South Texas, in order to lay the groundwork for Trump's border wall. Nayda refused.
On January 15, 2020, the government sued Nayda for access, and asked the court for immediate possession. ACLU of Texas, with the Texas Civil Rights Project, is defending Nayda and her family.
