Remember when Matt was sponsored by Ford...Pepperidge farm remembers.
Lmao
Nissan having to recall 47,000 Rogues for bad welds doesn’t inspire confidence.
In my book, as far as Nissan is concerned including Infinity there is NONE.
Please name one maker that hasn't had a recall
@@daveklein2826 please name a maker that has screwed up a structural component of their cars THAT bad. Stop being a shill.
@@daveklein2826 Lol! You're a Nissan owner. Sux 4 you!
Every manufacturers have recalls from time to time. Sorry Cars and Trucks are made by humans and we are prone to mistakes whether it is a programming error or a missed step in assembly sometimes things happen, We humans also breakdown from time to time....Doesn't mean the whole brand is bad . Shit Happens in life.
I never take the time to comment, or like dislike. Disliked this one for sure.
And why should we care
Matt your tundra’s whole window goes down
Love my Titan
Zero issues and less issues to worry about knowing it’s a pure v8 no cylinder deactivation and a 9 speed transmission is perfect for on road and low speed off-road.
Seats are the best on the market and the only complaint I have is no pedal adjustments and the low speed camera needs to come up in speed to say 15mph instead of 7mph
The bed step and tie down tracks are amazing and I think it should be standard equipment in every truck
Can you do less sponsored videos? I'd like to see real recommendations based on an actual review or comparison to a competing product. It's hard to tell if you actually like something or are just getting free stuff and happily showing it off.
Can you please shut up. And he told you right AR the beginning that there was no money or sponsorship.... Idiots
Project Farm
Matt has gotta underwright his 3 year and counting Unreal Rebuld somehow, right? He's opted to be a goofy entertainer, he's no longer a source of unbaised building science. Just laugh and drink-game each episode, don't expect anything legit.
We have 2 Titans as company vehicles, both under 5yrs old- both had full engine replacements!!!
Save your money buy a Chev!
@@gophersgirl I have a 2021 Gmc 1500 at4, just had all 16 lifters replaced. Luckily under warranty
The XD?

I have a 13 year old, 150k miles. I've had to replace fuel pump.
A nine-minute Nissan ad. The 'features' you highlight are available in any of the major truck brands. Nissan as a company is dropping in quality overall and I wouldn't consider one.
UPDATE: As I said, Nissan, AS A COMPANY, has dropping quality. The Titan and Frontier have been somewhat the exception to that statement. Any car company has good and bad models and good and bad years. I was referring to their overall quality, reliability, and longevity.
So not true on quality
His entire channel has become a series of ads.
@@GuerrillaHobo Too many of the things he has supported lately were things I wouldn't go with. I think it is time to click the "Do Not Recommend" checkbox for him. I know he is trying to make extra money, but a Nissan is drawing the line. I have to say goodbye to him.
nissan has way less issues than others manufactures, i own the exact same truck, and no issues and i love that truck, others i know have chevys and fords and having constant issues, the quality is 100 times better than others,
He did a video sponsored by Ford before. It seems like it's just distinguish to flip flop in such a short time.
Damn tough crowd
With purpose and reason.
okay. the sponsored content is getting way out of hand now.
I agree with you. But this wasn’t sponsored content.
@@lewisfisk sponsored or not this seemed like it was a cash grab IMO but I don't know anything about the texas automotive media press, kinda disappointed
He said he was part of the Texas automotive media press. So he has to request a car for review. Nissan doesn’t give him money for the review. The only way he’s making money is you watching the video.
@@lewisfisk When a company gives you "free" use of a product for a review, its sponsored.
@@jamesberry4552 How can it be a cash grab if he wasn't paid?
Too much of this was comparing this luxury trim model to your “work” trim model truck. A lot of the things you like about this truck are standard across brands, so while sure, they are worth mentioning, but touting those things as “pros” feels off.
Yeah no kidding I agree
Nissan has a 5yr 100,000 mile Bumper to bumper warrant. Great truck A lot of safety features.
Matt's channel has officially jumped the shark. Selling trucks now?! Just needs a William Shatner cameo for a priceline plug.
I think he did a similar F150 "review" a few months ago too
My only wish with Nissan is that I wish they wouldn't build such substandard vehicles. Every Nissan I'm in the best I can say is that it at least """works""", nothing more.
True words Nissan and Chevy are pure junk wouldn’t think twice on buying either
If you're actually a contractor you'll see the benefit of a van.
If you actually had a brain you would know that's not true
I miss my van, a client bought me a F-150 when our van died, you just need to do so much to a pickup truck to make it function like a van. At least it was free.
Some of those newer vans are very weak, I rented one from HomeDepot and activated the weight limit alarm, it was as loud as a fire alarm the whole drive not exaggerating.
@@daveklein2826 If you had some experience, you would know how stupid your brain is behaving. Most building contractors and tradespeople in general who actually use their vehicles to work out of instead of plastering them with lettering and waxing them up to peacock around town have construction caps installed with racks on top for lugging lumber, ladders, pipes/tubing, steel, etc. No different than a van. I've used both for decades. I also have enclosed trailers. They're a nuisance to lug around everywhere, and can't be left on site anywhere without the risk of being stolen or broken into. If you don't drive a van, then at least use some of your brain and get a proper truck cap so you at least look like a professional worker instead of a professional mouthpiece.
@@JamesBiggar Even with a cap a truck has way less space than a van, you can't even fit plywood between the wheel arches on most trucks.
Nissan will do anything to try and move a Titan off the lot, except offer a huge rebate, l0l@!
They only gave my gave me 4K off mrsp best today :(. These dealers in LA won’t budge might still get it. Love this truck ride is smooth
Go Toyota instead.
30+ million build in the U.S.
470,000 jobs in the U.S.
62 years operating in the U.S.
$27.7 billion directly invested in the U.S.
TUNDRA build in Texas.
And the time is built in Canton Missouri
Whatever, they have tiny running gear.
Not for construction workers at all. If your a paper pusher builder ok, But not for a hands on type builder guaranteed.
The day Renault got involved with Nissan was the day the quality went downhill!!!
I would avoid
Delete this from your UA-cam channel before it too late Matt!
Stop shilling Matt!
pretty sure this didn’t do anything but show me how much superior a ford is. lol
Nissan builds some very nice grocery getters. Unfortunately, despite much input from "professional users", that's all they're good for.
Then don't get one!
When you buy cheap foreign trucks and throw your America First values out the window. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah Ford and Chevy
The big three
Short bed trucks might be okay for a contractor that subs a lot of their work out and doesn't do a lot of the work themselves. But for a tradesperson or carpenter or sub that needs to haul material and tools to the job site I find them to be pretty much useless. Boards and plywood hanging out the back end is a non-starter for me. I don't care about Apple Airplay or dragging my family around during the week or taking my wife out in the truck. Finding a long bed stock off the dealer lot is getting harder and harder to find and that is annoying.
What’s with all these negative comments? The Nissan Titan is extremely underrated, and Nissan is obviously trying to get people to try it for themselves rather than spewing all of the nonsense about the big three being better. As for practicality when it comes to tradesmen the short bed might be a problem, but there’s always the Titan XD with a six and a half foot bed and a little more towing capacity. For the everyday person who doesn’t want a bare bones work truck the Titan is a good choice. Thanks @Matt Risinger for being bold enough to deviate from the norm!
How many "everyday people" can afford a $70K work truck? You're out of your gd mind, boy.
@@JamesBiggar Buy it used, besides you say that as if the others aren’t just as expensive or more, people are buying them so apparently there’s a lot of everyday people who can “afford” to pay that amount. My point is that the Nissan Titan is a good choice.
Most people don’t even tow With their trucks
@@JamesBiggar I bought a fully loaded 2021 pro 4X for 50,000 in March now it’s worth 53,000 the point is you could get a better deal on them
About the towing, never tow at the limited weight in mountains.
I am the current owner of 05 titan and it truly is the best truck especially for the price. Don't have anything to say about the new ones because I don't have experience with them
My 2005 has been so solid. No real issues yet.
A standard van will always be superior to any truck in terms of storage.
What about loading the back with rocks, trash from a job or anything tall...so van BOY a truck is the way to go
@@atg1338 You'd put trash in a place that would be appropiate. Not in your vehicle. That's what a container is for.

As a contractor, GOTTA have an 8ft bed. So frustrating without
Just spray foam the shit out of the inside and you've got yourself a Build Show sponsored truck! Guaranteed to mold, off gas, and cause cancer 💪
Literally discontinued truck.
Video came up and I read the title and thought 'another commercial' :-(
This was a fun video because of the comments!
Toyota or Bust!
Glorified cooler carrier!
No sponsored car review videos please. This isn't a good car review, and it doesn't even relate to your channel except the question in your title. It feels so out of touch. You can see by the dislikes this is not playing to your audience.
Get back to us at 100k, 150k, and 200k with maintenance expenditures and what repairs have been required. I’m not convinced Nissan can match the rep they had with the old hardbody based on personal experience.
I'd like to know what you think about Tesla Cybertruck once you've been able to try one for a few weeks.
That truck is awful. Get a F150!
It would be great to get a builder's perspective on the new ford lightning
In my opinion I don’t think it would be a good truck in the Midwest and I would think down the road the batteries will get weaker and weaker so your distance would be bad
No builder who's a real builder wants or needs a truck without a 8ft bed or utility bed
Hey, who's that mystery driver with the hairy legs at 5:53? Can't be Matt, he has long pants on. Hmmm...
The thing I've learned about youtube, no matter how observant you think you are, someone's already posted a comment about it.
Yay, a 9 minute Nissan ad..... **eye roll**
Work truck doesn't need apple play, etc. It needs a LONG bed! A work truck is for getting you, materials and tools to job site.
He's a Matt "builder." When you see him build? He writes, drives, and tows his camper.
I've used a quad with a utility trailer. If you want to eat, you'll make anything work. I've never bought a new truck. Mine's over 30. It'll be replaced with another old truck that some yuppie peacock discarded because they have $70K to throw away. $70,000 CAD for this thing. I wouldn't give them $10,000. It's just a gd truck, boys.
L0L@!
You should be thankful for the people that have the money to hand over a used truck to you after they're done with it.
If it’s a work truck and it’s being depreciated as same, you could cycle out of it every 2-3 yrs, otherwise I’d buy the Toyota
I’m pretty sure Matt has a Tundra
Unsubbed. Another UA-camr becomes a shill.
BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
That old orange Dodge would be a lot better to work out of than the new trucks. It’s low enough you can actually get things out of the bed. Vans with sliding side doors are also great to work out of if you want to store your tools efficiently.
Lol at some of these comments. Matt drops a video two to three times a week with quality well thought out content. Some of these other creators barely do one. He works hard and we should all be happy companies are willing to pay him for his dedication. These monetary benefits help fuel the other content we all wait for.
At the end of the day it’s a business, so let the man come up.
I've owned two Titans. They never failed to start up except twice because of battery issues. The transmission went out on one, but other that they were great. Also, I wasn't easy on them (carpenter/contractor, as well)
I have a '19 and just had the OEM battery replaced under warranty. I had to go to 3 different dealerships.
@@TheKingOfInappropriateComments Do you like it though?
@@landminehopscotch3617 yes it's a great truck. I looked all of them and you get so much more features and at fire sale prices. Even the XD is a lot of truck for the money. Before the pandemic, I got them down to $43k on an XD SV 4x4 midnight edition with the diesel. (I didn't get that one) If you tried to find anything like that at ford, chevy, ram try $65k+ and you still wont get things like power slider or apple play more than likely and it will have a lot more hard plastics. I have heard a few horror stories about the titans but so far so good. By the way my prior truck was a Tundra and I looked at the new '19 tundras and at the time they didn't even have push button start. They were really behind on the tech.
@@TheKingOfInappropriateComments Yep, I live in north central Texas and during the February storm I was able to get my neighbors food and supplies as their vehicles wouldn't start. They're great trucks..the best? I don't know. And yes, truck prices are getting pretty ridiculous. Full disclosure, I've always eyeballed the Tundra
@@landminehopscotch3617 The reason I will most likely sell at the first sign of trouble even if it's under warranty and also the reason I will most likely not buy another nissan even if I don't have trouble is because there's only one dealership in town and they're terrible. I bought the truck at a dealership 2 hours away and when I had the battery replaced it was the next closest dealership about 75 minutes away. It's lack of dealerships if there's a problem and it's not a lexus, they don't give you a free loaner car or even have a car rental on site. It's also not like I can take an uber home from that distance, believe me, I've tried. Sort of the same problem with toyota although I haven't lost all confidence in the local toyota dealership.
Owned a Nissan once, once I went for Toyota and Honda I'm never going back. Driving a Nissan feels like driving a toy car.
Yes the old one but not the newer ones
joke on the sponsorship. you are watering down all the brand you built.
Had you listened and comprehended you would have heard him say right in the beginning that it wasn't a sponsorship moron
I’d rather have the Dodge at the beginning of the video. Kudos to the guy or girl keeping it on the road!
The only thing that Nissan screwed up on was making it a steering column shifter instead of a center column shifter.
I see no application of this truck for a builder. Bed is small , rests high and open. 4wd - unnecessary, mpg - low. Builder need to carry himself and tools. Materials are delivered to site by builder only occasionally. All of these purposes are much better covered by vans, Ford Transit for example. It's just your texan habit to ride big toyish trucks for no reason.
Instead of a builders review, I’d like to see a strippers review of the Titan!!
Nothing beats a Tundra for reliability and cost of ownership. Nissan as a company is a train wreck right now.
i watch videos of toyota techs all the time , explain all the issues with tundras, and been that way for ever, and toyota never updates parts to permanently repair issues, front covers have always leaked on tundras, even back into early 2010s and still leak to this day, i work as a nissan tech for 15 years, and 2017 titans had front covers leaks, but then redesigned things to stop the leaks, and now have not seen a front cover leak since 2017, they fix them in production
@@huggiebear1122 Run along foolish troll........................ Also, Grammarly is free little one. It will help you look less stupid.
My 2013 Tundra doesnt seem to have this "front cover" leak. Should I be looking for it soon?....... Do a search for million mile Tundra little one. Then do a search for million mile Titan. Let me know how that works out little one.

Matt, try F150 Lightning. Battery backup for your house , plus tool usage, plus heavy towing.
Heavy towing how far around the block and don’t forget if you live in the Midwest do you know it’s going to get cold outside you know you gonna lose juice from your batteries and as the truck gets older less and less range
@@robertschlueter2510 batts have built in heaters, and its designed for heavy towing.
No Matt. Just no.
Why not?
All you have to do is look underneath at axle and break size. The big three half tons have much bigger running gear etc.
A lot of comments from people who have never driven a Japanese vehicle.
On my 3rd Tundra... lets not attempt to compare a titan to a tundra... that'll get ugly quick.

On the next episode of the build show, let's review this builder grade camp stove for making ramen or heating food on the go! A must have for all builders who are on the jobsite during lunchtime.
Yeah, sure. Next time I need a builder, I'll be sure to get a guy from Japan.
Matt, come on man. How long has it actually been since you needed a truck for work. I see you hauling your camper all over the US.
Would you use this exclusively to haul your camper? I doubt it.
More work, less fluff please.
2022 Toyota Tundra coming in hot...
I would take the orange truck over the titan, all day every day
I think it would be an interesting take to see if and how a builder could use a standard sedan for a week. Tilting wheel and backup camera? You can get that on a Corolla. Most builders don't need a full-size pickup with a cab.
A car for construction? Whatever dude.
I came back a year later to ask what is ur reasoning behind carrying building materials in a sedan??
@@joeblacc8573 Building materials is one thing, but most pickup trucks are transporting only passengers. A lot of empty beds out there, even for construction pros.
I want to hear about the construction of buildings, not trucks.
It will take a month to get all the Zip tape off this rig after Matt had it, you know he did an air test on the cabin
Nissans are horrible on gas mileage especially when towing trailers or boats or campers my friend did own one and was always complaining about sucky gas mileage he traded it and got a GMC ... I realize this was not a full video for Nissan but Matt saying what he liked and disliked on the loaner vehicle I feel it was and unfair comparison to a real work truck versus this model of sport truck
You don’t by any truck for gas mileage
I have one and I love it. It's fast but horrible on gas though. I get 10 mpg city, 11 hwy. You can't beat it for the price. If you want 6.5' bed you can get the XD.
Maybe you have a hole in your gas tank I have one I get about 19. To 20 on the highway so most probably Siphoning out your gas
That thing is so unnecessary. You would never see any construction worker driving a truck like that in Japan and the build homes just like us how is that possible?
@@blaydCA Exactly we don't need big trucks or wide streets.
