Perhaps it is because we are still young. We are experimenting, trying to find ourselves through trends. It is a bit over-the top in this specific episode, but it is what it is. Milleneals are grown, they do not search to discover themselves that much(not to say that they do not anymore), but it definitely gets toned down after their teenage years.
jared's comment on skinny jeans was so real cause everyone who immediately says its ugly will switch up the second it comes back in style.

It’s weird to me that they asked Haley where she worked because it didn’t seem like a corporate job outfit to me. It seems like a standard outfit for girls who like high waisted jeans and crop tops. It’s cute.
They said someone who has a corporate job but is on their *weekends*, I’m pretty sure. Which makes sense to me! She looks very clean and well put together. I imagine it as pretty muted and minimalist for a weekend corporate sorta vibe. I totally see that perspective, imo.
I love the girl in the pink. Her personality and vibe is everything. Such a girl's girl and I love how confident the Gen Z kids are in their outfits too. Granted I immediately found 2 of them kinda ugly and would not really wear any of their outfits, but I admire their confidence to put together what they like and express themselves. Too many people try so hard to fit in and are afraid of standing out and being themselves. It can be hard and scary, but they're just unapologetically themselves. Love that for them!!

The Gen Z outfits aren’t too different to what Milennials were wearing 15-20 years ago. Not only do fashion trends go in cycles, but for many people as they age, they feel they should dress more conservative.

For me, some of these people in both groups were displaying their fashion. And some people were in a costume….I just feel like there’s a difference.

it's really not, the GenZ people in the episode are just more fashion conscious (probably the reason they partecipated). Besides their styles are just Y2K fashion revisited, with some loans to niche aestethics and some 90's elements. Millennials in general are dressing in a more minimalistic way because they are older and not experimenting anymore with fashion

Every detail is very pretty! The blue and gray highlight her blue eyes and blond hair. Her hair length is complimented by the sleeve length and pant waist height. The fitting shirt balances the jeans and the shoes makes this outfit even more special. The necklaces were also chosen well, as gold accentuates the cool tones.

As a fellow Gen Z, it seems as if the fixation on maintaining "authenticity" devolves into the incorporation of previously established fashion/style trends under a new umbrella. Nothing wrong with experimenting and finding your favorite style! But a trend is a trend; and maybe we can all be "authentically" wearing the same style of flashy clothes, without necessarily being unique.

Josh has a great understanding of fashion and is the most fashionable out of the two generations. You can really tell that he has a deep understanding of how style and fashion works. A lot of Gen z fashion reminds me of peak MySpace days. So it makes sense to me that I don’t see too many millennials wearing Gen z fashion because it was our middle school to early college fashion. I think we experiment when we’re young, but eventually we chose fashion that complements our lifestyle.

Although you are entirely correct that the term now is commonly used to refer to subjective notions about style and appearance
Fashion is just art. You would have to understand it to like it. Just like looking at paintings in a museum. Some people would just say it's a canvas. While others would see it deeper. This is just my take, but everyone has their own opinion.

As someone who enjoys fashion, I like how everyone had their own individual style and felt like everyone put a lot of effort in their styles. Seems like I liked the outfits from a fashion pov but ppl didn’t like them from the pov of the outfits are supposed to represent the generations.

I really like those over dressed, accessorised fits and tbh i have seen these crazy unique outfits a lot well not irl. But these feel kinda normal but still different with all these types of fashion content i like. Also those fits are unique and its literally art. And it's obviously not just you, everyone has different choices. And i think those all fits are stylish but I liked what i liked. It just seems cool, i wish everyone dressed like that. its funny to me bc gen z is literally taking trends millennials wore as teens and giving them a more modern twist (me included) so it must be crazy for them to see teens today wearing things they wore when they were our age.

Just a heads up for everyone wondering if they should be as fashionable as some of these individuals . No, youre allowed to be comfy and look great in whatever you wear . Some of these people are literally the 1% amongst their generation with how wild they try to present themselves and in many cases they would look maybe way too much in some regions or countries. Wear what is comfy to you even if its a plain tshirt and some jeans

Sorry as an elder millennial or xennial, I really feel there was a lack of sophisticated yet bold fashion on our end 😭 I love sleek looks with a pop of bright colors and patterns or bold accessories, and I feel there are a lot of other millennials like this!
Totally agree! Millennials can be very bold and colorful with their fashion too. I am a millennial and I do play with colors, accessories, and my silhouette a lot too. Its just a shame to see how the Gen Zs perceive us as boring and basic, when we are the ones that created the fashion trends of today which they are inspired by and have appropriated.
