Stitch and Chat is a craft group in Rockhampton, central Queensland with a membership of about 80 people.
The group has patched, knitted, sewn and crocheted hundreds of trauma teddies, quilts, pamper packs and sanitary items for various charities and community members doing it tough.
Since 2018, 122 rescue quilts have been donated to the Child Protection unit of the Rockhampton Police Service, 16 quilts and 50 pillowcases have gone to Anglicare for foster children and 72 quilts to the Children's Ward at Rockhampton Hospital.
While the group is doing remarkable work, Caroline Holmes said members valued each other's company as much as they enjoyed stitching.
