The Old Testament is a historical record of the Israelite's rebellion against God and their rejection/persecution of his prophets. If they actually read their own book then they would have to acknowledge that Jesus was their prophesized Mesiah. It continues to this day (for most Jews). The Old Testament is a historical record of the Israelite's rebellion against God and their rejection/persecution of his prophets. If they actually read their own book then they would have to acknowledge that Jesus was their prophesized Mesiah. It continues to this day (for most Jews). It also should be noted that their rejection of Jesus was also part of the Prophecy.
The only reason some Jews in the time of Jesus believed he was the messiah was because he was still alive. They never would have if they knew he was going to die before fulfiling the prophecies.
Something else I learned is that the signs modern day Chrsitians were taught to believe are a few days off and some are 2 years off based on the signs of that fortold of Jesus's birth.

I managed to get half-way through this baloney. The main reason he gives why Jews don't accept Jesus as messiah is that they misinterpret their own scriptures. They do read their own scriptures, not some Christian interpretation of them. Christians read Jesus into the Jewish Scriptures. He also said that the story/rumor about Jesus being from union of Mary and some Roman soldier is something most Jews accept. It was not something any of my Jewish family were ever aware of or any other Jew I've known. Jews who know the Talmud, I think, are the ones who would most likely be aware that this was a claim but they never take it seriously. That's probably a radical effort by a very few to get rid of the Christian claim of Jesus' birth was from a virgin. Of course, Jews disagreed on many things.
He said most Jews thought the messiah would be a military leader. Many thought he would be a Davidic figure, yes, but also a prophet, and more. Whatever disagreement they had about that, all Jews who believed in a messiah at all believed he would be a figure of power and grandeur. That excludes anyone who gets crucified. Jews did not believe in human sacrifice and, except for Christian beliefs to the contrary, Jesus was a human. Also, would Jews spend centuries trying to concretize their belief in ONE God only to complicate things with a Son of God who was supposedly, at the same time, God? Also, Jews did not believe that humanity was hopelessly sinful. They generally did not believe in an evil figure opposed to God. They didn't and don't seek the kind of salvation Paul taught because they did not read Satan or The Fall into Genesis 2-3 like Christians do.
This narrator and Jewish Christians are the last people in the world you should turn to in order to understand why the Jews didn't and don't accept Jesus as the messiah. He neither destroyed Israel's enemies, re-established the Jewish state nor helped God usher in the Kingdom of Heaven. These are what Jews expected of the messiah.
