Check out how heavily this horse is breathing after only the first required movement in reining and then after each additional requirement. A couple of thoughts I wonder about are how old these horses are when they begin training in this discipline for competition and if arthritis becomes an issue for them at an early age especially with the stress on their bodies from the sliding stop after accelerating at a high speed! It looks impressive but what is the accumulative damage to the horses who are exhibited in this sport?

I hate to see them make peanut pushers out of these beautiful animals that should hold their head high

Hmm strange, horse seems to be very happy and healthy, this is completely ok and healthy for them, where do you thinks horses head is most of the time, while grazing?

@@hollywoodreiner851 Grazing is one natural position for a horse to have a low headset. What is your experience when a horse is trotting or loping/galloping on its own without a rider, how many of them naturally have a low headset? I am curious.

@@cherylpiercy3111 You have a very good point, and theres not many but if you look at pleasure horses most of them have low headsets in feild but not as low as they are in the show ring, but i definitely dont think they are made into "peanut pushers"

That's the thing about this mare, she carries herself like this. That's why she became the best horse in reining! Normally horses will carry their heads higher when running this fast, but this mare is exceptional. Not very many horses can do this, and this mare does not look forced in any way. She seems happy and loves doing her job. That's why she kept winning everything!!
