I just bought his son as a foal one month ago, we named him Sheriff's Gotta Gun. He is a beautiful boy and looks just like his dad! Can't wait for him to reign like this
A lot of the readjusting is because these horses are so talented and so athletic. During a spin, your saddle's going to move just due to force. And as far as excessive cueing, the really good ones don't need it. Watch Shawn Flarida's ride on Wimpys Little Step from 2002. He barely lifts his hand or taps his leg on his horse.
If you think he looks awesome online, you should see him in person! He's GORGEOUS! Super talented and photogenic. =] I got to see him at Reining by the Bay 2008 where he won, of course. XP Fappani's horses always perform with amazing accuracy, it's crazy to watch. =]
A lot of that shifting is because you are doing things a little higher speed and its easy for the saddle to get a little of balance. So we shift it back into place because it'd be a little silly to leave yourself sitting sideways. The rein shifting is because western reins are pretty long, and when you spin a horse its so easy for them to get stuck in places. All the readjusting you see is to put yourself centre again, otherwise it can throw off everything.
Great horse, Tanja Jenkins and Arno Honstetter have show this year awesome offstring at the Reining by the Bay and the 2010 HIGH ROLLER REINING CLASSIC. Great video are on UA-cam don't hesitate to view it.
He's Gunner's half brother sharing same dam Katie Gun. The one mare Katie Gun is probably the single most influential horse in the reining horse industry but you can't even find one picture of her, cause the freaking male dominated world.

Amazing horse. The lady who owns the barn I ride at, owns this guys daughter.
I have to say as much as reining is on the accuracy nothing like having a gorgeous horse to go along with all of that talent! Nice Run
That horse is STUNNING

Nice beautiful stop on that horse. hes beautiful
@namasu101
it's control and keeps them concentrated on their job, rather than the screaming audience or anything that'll spook them.
it's much better.

BEAUTIFUL horse. I love those markings and that white tail with the dark brown body is to die for. I'd buy a pedigree mare just to breed her to him!
Wunderschönes pferd. :'D || Beautiful Horse ♥
This is amazing!!
It's not the gulastra plume, he is a paint with the splash gene. That's where the white tail comes from. He is a very nice looking horse though.
i am training on of his 7 month old sons, He is a pure white paint with blue eyes, but he is deaf.
very beautiful though
Yeaaahhhhhhh ahhhhhh !!!! :D I live in France
