    This is modification is super worth while. Apart from easy access, it gives you the option to cut and dispose the stock battery comparment. You then get loads of space for a large battery, control board, speaker and whatever else you want to install. Highly recommended and it compliments the Drive Axle Bearing Support and Hull Brace modifications. These modifications give Tamiya 1/16 tanks a run for their money.

    The best way to shorten the upper bases is by using a slow spinning drill. Ca. 8 mm.

      Hi, I just bought 2 packs of magnets from eBay ... I searched for rare earth magnets and found many suppliers. The magnets were offered in many, many sizes from the magnets that look like they've been snipped off a pin. Tiny! But seriously powerful. I bought a pack (100?) of these tiny ones and some that were approx 4mm in diameter. I can see many more magnets of all sizes in my future..

    Hi Stanley. Have you heard of a sight called Hestia also called Hestia brave troops 10.com. Anyway I've seen a 1/16 scale metal tiger tank 1 for 45 bucks. What do you think about this price. I'm also looking at the new drift tank for 80 bucks.

    • @StanlleyLegion
      @StanlleyLegion  4 роки тому +1

      Never heard of Hestia. The $45 tank is a scam going around. You get a tiny toy tank. Nothing like the videos and photos. Not even close.

      sorry Simon- don't have a Sherman nor any lined up in my build queue. But it's easy- the holes are in pairs, i think 6 or 8 screws. Good luck!

      make sure you get the MS version- that means the gearbox is steel gears vs MZ which is Zinc. But then the gear ratio is off anyway (too fast for the King Tiger) so that shouldn't matter. Price is about right.

    I want to do this mod so bad on my heng long abrams. Will this impact the hull stiffness? I dont have the money to buy a stiffening kit just yet and am worried it will make the hull flex too much. Thank you!
