I'm catching this before morning coffee, before I'm fully awake. You have been a great inspiration to me in picking up piano again after years of silence. Photography was another passion I laid aside...especially after everything went digital. Well, you got me in the heartstrings with the beauty of your color and composition, again. The photos are as beautiful as your music.
Thank you, Linda! I'm sure you know most of the spots shown in the pictures. I really enjoyed the stay in your beautiful country. Too bad we missed the chance to meet in Auckland :-( But if there is a next time...
Great piano playing and great photography. Morricone is amongst my favorite composers and his Love Theme to Cinema Paradiso may just be my favorite piece of music period.
Thank you, Derek! I try my best to upload frequently, but I'm teaching, I'm transcribing, arranging, practicing, memorizing - and finally I'm married (if you know what I mean :-)
This is THE most gorgeous arrangement. The left hand part adds what is missing from so many other interpretations of this piece. Could I purchase the music from you please? I've worked out the early bars but I'm not much of a transcriber! Thanks and best wishes to you
Merci :-) Well, I´m playing a YAMAHA GA1. I prefer a brilliant piano sound and asked the tuner to intonate my piano that way. So a piano sound is not so much a matter of size than a matter of intonation. I have searched very long to solve the problem of too much reverb in my records. The solution is to keep the piano lid closed with the mic inside fixed with tape under the lid (I use the Applied Microphone Technology M40, which is very good - Herbie Hancock is using it, too :-). The rest is traditional sound engineering (i should mention that I studied sound engineer before I studied classical piano; my studio equipment is pretty good meanwhile :-). The reverb is from Logic 9 „Goldverb“. I also used the Logic Compressor & Exciter.
Thanks a lot for all the informations :) I like hearing and visualizing your new piano recordings, which are very inspiring to increase my piano level.
Of course I've already thought about that - but it's legally difficult because I'm not the sole rights holder... I know other guys on UA-cam don't care about that.
Here is my playlist with Morricone arrangements: ua-cam.com/video/rmE-fXnBAZI/v-deo.html
Awesomeness ❤🌿🌹❗
これも、綺麗な曲でした👍🎵
Every time I hear one of your new posts my heart skips a beat! Sigh, thank you for your gifts of gorgeous piano playing AND photography!
That's really a nice comment - you made my day :-) A big thanks in return!

Slight jazzy smell added here and there has made the great piece even more mystically charming…

Morricone is so intense... And Colorful, expressive.

Incredible!

Good one Uwe.. now for Giu La Testa...!
aah, that's an interesting suggestion! I´ll keep that in mind, but "Cinema Paradiso" and "Once Upon A Time In The West" will come first :-)
Very delightful :) This is a great arrangement. It sounds very clear, how do you record a such quality with a closed piano ? Greetings from France.

@@ukaykeys I understand now why... It sounds so great. 👍
thanks, Jesus :-)
Hello, how about "Le vent le cri" ? The Loner (Gary Moore)? Thank you very much!
I' ll think about it 😉
@@ukaykeys thank you very much! you are great!
Uwe, what music would you use for a collection of pics of Milan I put on Milanostylistic Instagram?
Hi Sergio, what is the subject of the pictures (architecture, people, night scenes)?
beautifully sad.
thank you!
You should make easier buying any sheets you transcribed. Without writing to you on email but only paying by paypal by one click
