    Thank you for the link to the handheld remote for the Longmill MK CNC. I have meaning to ask you about it. Since I purchased an MK2 30x48
    Edit: This would be a great project to engrave to the back side of a cabinet door.

    Those boards came out really nice buddy!! I'm leaning towards the filled in one tho, it just looked so cool to me. I kept thinking once you put some polyurethane on it, it will look amazing. I liked the first one also.
    Thanks so much for showing us how to actually do it. This video was extremely helpful for people who have the laser. I will admit, I couldn't help but think how nice they would look if you just carved them and filled it in with epoxy or stain.
    Either way, they came out really nice. 😃👍
    Thanks so much for making this video for us.

    Thank you for this video. I have the laser attachment for my MK2 and unfortunately as much as I love Sienci they did a crappy job when it comes to the setup of the laser. The install is good, but then good luck you are on your own. Poor videos that are outdated and hard to follow that don't cover Laserburn very well and setting are non-existant. Anyway, thank you for your video I am able to find a starting point and some value for speeds and power. I am off to try them out as it should get me much closer than where I was. Oh, helps if you put the spring in with the lens. The matching will quickly throw your lens out of focus and then you start burning everything and you can't figure out why. (yep, been there done that)

      I agree there are few videos (if any) with detailed step by step instructions on using the Laser. One of my biggest issues is the power. 7 watt is ok for engraving which I do a bunch of however, its cutting ability is time consuming or basically not really worth the time for making a bunch of anything. I wish the lenses were fixed in the unit! The spring is a big pain in the ass! Especially when you have fat fingers! Keep at it and you will get it! If you have questions feel free to join the FB forum or ask me directly. I may not have all the answers but i will try. Good luck!

      @@BuckysCustoms " its cutting ability is time consuming or basically not really worth the time for making a bunch of anything." Totally agree. I have posted this everytime I email scienc . I have no idea why they won't up the laser to 20W. Honestly, I think they are just not familiar enough with laser technology. Or they are putting all there efforts into the new co2 laser. Truth is they are going to get their clock clean by trying to compete in the laser market.(they need to say in their own lane.) For example, have you looked at the X2 S1 40watt. Scienc might be creative but how much will it cost to get to the technology of X2. Auto focus, fire suppression, and the list just keep going on. Did I mention almost 3/4" in a single pass. I am not a huge fan of Xtool due to the price, but I must admit they have engineers that know lasers. (key word was engineer"S"). It all comes down to the long mill or X2 or Table Saw is nothing more than a tool. Some tools are better at doing one thing. Like the old saying- A hammer is better than a wrench to drive a nail into wood. With that all said-I still really like the down-to-earth atmosphere of the owners as scienc. Very refreshing in today's modern world.

      Yes, I have an old furnace motor and blower mounted in a box outside with a 4" hose to a 2" for the Laser.

      @@BuckysCustoms Thanks, I was thinking of using four inch to a two inch. Just not sure how to mount to the Longmill Gantry. Thinking of mounting something to the z plate. My dust shoe won't work as it sticks out too far. How did you mount the pickup to the long mill? Any pictures or suggestion as I am sure you have had a couple of revisions by now.🤔. Hey, thanks for the video. I purchased a longmill based on watching many of your video and I have to say it is a great machine. I am used to working with 1/8-1/16 cut when making furniture. But the longmill threw me for a loop as I was not used to dealing with 1/32, 1/64, and 1/128 of an inch. (That took some getting used too🤪)

      Hey Scott! I use the Absolute coordinates feature in LB. Which means: Where ever you place your image, text, etc. on your defined workspace it will engrave it there.

    How do you use the controller with gsender

      @BuckysCustoms  Рік тому +1

      Hey Danny Great Question! This controller connected to my laptop super easy and I configured the short cuts in gSender by going to settings then shortcuts then Joystick short cuts and using the jogging settings. You can refer to resources.sienci.com/view/gs-additional-features/ for help.
