Congrats on the truck! One thing I didn't see anyone point out in the comments is a correction about payload. An newer F-350 dually has about a 7000 lb payload. The single rear wheel F350 is like yours only have about a 4000 to 4500 lb payload. Be sure to weigh the truck, and subtract that from your GVWR, which can be found on the sticker on the driver's door. That is your actual payload. I hope y'all have a wonderful time!
I know y’all are anxious to get back on the road - but I hope you realize that most of us who support and subscribe are following not just your adventures, but YOU! So no matter how long it takes to get back out there, we’ll be here! ❤️❤️ Jeff Jensen ❤️❤️
Two episodes ago they were stressed to the max. They needed a break. Maybe not quite this way. There will be new challenges and new excitement. Maybe just what the doctor ordered. What's not to love about the Oden's. On Tuesday I was like. They haven't uploaded yet. My wife said Jim its Monday. My bad. I was so excited to finally have them visit my backyard in the Adirondacks. Bummed that they had to leave. But now excited again for them. By far they have the best UA-cam channel!!!
Just a tip we came from a ram 250 with plenty over cab clearance and went to out F350 SRW with very little cab clearance. We bought 2 -3/4” stall mats from tractor supply and put in bed of truck it help with clearance and also keeping camper from sliding while traveling. If you get torklift tie down you can purchase locks for them also. They are expensive so you don’t want them to get stolen.
Congratulations! Kelly, I’ve never seen u so happy and animated ! Love it! It has always worn me out when y’all showed setting up and tearing down camp. Can’t wait to see camper. Happy for u both!
What a gorgeous truck!! My neighbor has a Ford F-350 and she is a beautiful beast!! I am a bit jealous but even more happy and excited for you guys! Change can be such a wonderful and positive thing and all of us subscribers who have been here since the beginning are happy for you. We watch your videos not only for the camping and adventures but also because the two of you ROCK!! The truck and camper is going to make life so much more enjoyable and allow you to take even bigger/longer trips and many more adventures. We are all excited and looking forward to it. Happy travels!! -Hedy
Here's an alternative... just buy a truck bed topper and make it your emergency bedroom with mattress permanently in place. Cheaper than a slide in camper and can still store gear on top of it. The height will be lower than a slide in camper and you can still pull the No Bo. Switch to the Gazelle T8 tent with 90 second set up time. This way you can stay true to "dome life". I bet you've already bought your new "home" and we'll all enjoy your new direction.
Congrats guys...just FYI, although you should be fine...be weight aware. That model is going to have a payload capacity more in the 4000lb range. Only specifically outfitted dual rear wheel F350s are in the 7000lb range. SWR crew cab short bed has possible GVWR of between 9900 and 11500 with payload between 3100 and 4400...
Listen to Tim Temple. Your number of 7700# is not accurate. Payload numbers are on a label inside the driver's door. I have a 2020 F350 with the 7.3 gas engine. My engine weighs 400# less than you diesel. My payload is 4000#. No way a single rear wheel F350 has that much payload.
We have a palomino 8801 and we recently upgraded to a SRW F350 gas burner and we have a payload of a little over 4000lb. We added individual airbags and a heavy duty rear sway bar. We just traveled from Louisiana to Colorado and towed a sxs. It was a wonderful trip. But check your drivers door panel it should tell you your payload. I’m thinking the same as Tim Temple SWR usually has less payload and a diesel also usually has less payload because it’s heavier. We enjoy watching y’all and now can’t wait to see your truck camper adventures, esp since we are truck campers ourselves.
Also airbags are a big help with the truck camper but we learned that they need to be individually set up and not combined. When we came home with our palomino we bags that were connected together and it made the roll feeling worse. Came home separated the bags and made a huge difference.
Whoa this is huge! So stoked for y'all! Cool to see the plans accelerating. This will open up so much possibility for side adventures! Also my favorite color scheme with King Ranch leather, y'all nailed it!
I am so proud for the two of you! I am most happy about you giving up the tent life and always thought since the beginning it was dangerous considering where we are as a nation right now. Now you will be able to lock the door at night before bedding down. This is a good thing for you and me, lol. I will do less worrying and can focus more on the reason I love watching you. Kelly and her cooking and Cody always giving history lessons about where you are. I so love that! Looking forward to the next adventure and I love the new truck!
So happy for you! You can still camp in a tent when the weather is fine, but the camper will make short stops and bad weather so much easier to deal with. Now you have more flexibility. Looking forward to the camper tour
I have not been able to watch the live broadcasts due to the hours I work, but been keeping up as best I can. So sorry you had the issues, but thrilled that you are going to be able to get back out. Love the truck. Prayers are with you both and wishing you all the best going forward. Continuing to watch... thank you!!
Congratulations! You will be able to go on more hikes & adventures. Set up, cooking, cleaning, tear down & travel time all takes a lot of time. Kudos for doing it for a whole year! We did it for a week, traveled to 3 spots, & had zero time to check out the area. We get it. After that we built a platform bed in our cargo trailer, so we had the option of putting up tents & stuff when we were staying in one spot for more than 2 days. Unfortunately we don't have 4x4 truck or trailer, but it suits us just fine. You do what makes your adventure life easier. If you ever need help in north central Ohio, we're here.
Congratulations to you both on your new wheels and tiny home! You guys made a lot of hard decisions in a short period of time. I can’t wait until your next adventure!
That's a beautiful truck just make sure that the rims can handle the payload sometimes they put cheap rims on it and it can't handle the payload of the truck be sure to research that and try to get a four-season camper that way you're not freezing in it other than that great job...
Enjoy the truck! 2021 F350 King Ranch Tremor 7.3 owner here. Love it! Was ordered specifically for a truck camper. Door jamb sticker on mine says about 3900 lbs. I get it on the Palomino. TC’s are silly expensive. If you think Lance are high check out the price of the equivalent Northern Light. But… your slick new F350 most definitely doesn’t have a payload of 7700 lbs. Less than half that. Should be mid 3K, and on the lower side of that range. I don’t even think an F450 DRW has a payload close to 7700 lbs. There’s a sticker on the driver side door jam that will tell you the exact payload for the truck you bought, just FYI if you didn’t know.
Congratulations 🎉 I've been Road Tripping for 30yrs. On my 6th trailer truck combo. Just part of getting the miles behind you. Keep up the great content and find the ultimate camping spot. Hope there are camping spots near the dealership. Ford F350s are labor-intensive.
THE COOK BOOK! Alright! Oh and nice truck ya'll. Me & the wife also tent camp but only week at a time about every 6 months on vaca. Not retired yet. It does get to ya setting up camp. I can see why ur changing ur camping way. Can't wait to see what's next!
Yay!!!👏👏👏👏..NOW!! It'll be exciting to watch you evolve from here ..we all do.. creature comforts become the main event.. I love my truck camper it allows us to go places we could never go before with our pull behind camper. Up in the mountains & down in the deserts in all seasons.. Happy trailing y'all 😊
Nice truck! Congratulations! L❤️ve it! Awesome cowboy Cadillac! Native Texan here and I love pickups. I don't blame you all for transferring to a camper. I will definitely still be watching. Have fun guys!
Guys - I hate to be the one with the warning comment but I want you to be safe out there. - 7,000 payload will go fast and put you over the limit quickly. Do not forget to add both of your weights, plus personal belongings on the truck. And most importantly the weight of the camper you choose and everything on it. I would go and weight (CAT Scales) the truck as it is without the camper or anything in it first. Then, put in all you are going to be carrying in it (including the weight of the two of you and pets if any) and once you load the camper weight again. That will give you a number to see if you are over and/or how much you have to play with. Do not forget to consider the water if you weight your camper without water. Also, save some money since you truck is not a dually you will need to add spring and maybe support springs, air bags and/or something like Sumo Springs to carry the weight. We do that plus tires even on dually trucks depending on the camper weight.
Wife and I are longtime watchers, LOVE your content. I’ve been thinking about your situation today and had a thought to share. I’m afraid you’re gonna run out of room too fast with the truck camper. A possible alternative would be a hard shell roof top tent for the truck. They have plenty of drawbacks but you could still tow your trailer and keep all the hobbies intact. Again just a thought, not at all meant to criticize, we look forward to seeing the new adventures!
So excited for yall. We are FT in a Lance TT and thinking about a truck camper someday--more nimble. We only have a 250 though. We got it used to start our FT life @ 3 years ago and felt what yall are feeling, "uptown high rent". Anxious to see how you transition to TC life😎
We are very excited for you!! Under ideal conditions, nothing beats tent camping, but we all know things aren't always ideal, and you guys are better troopers than most! We're a little surprised you aren't keeping your NO-BO trailer to tow around the extra gear, bikes, etc., but we look forward to seeing how you adapt to the new way of life.
Agreed about No-Bo trailer . Truck campers don’t have much storage you may want to hang onto the trailer until you get everything loaded and placed. You may need it for extra storage esp full timing. Wishing y’all the best and excited about your new adventures.
Great news. From the first time we watched your story unfold we have been waiting for this news. It’s great that you will be safer and more comfortable year round. Tenting has a season.
Hello, my wife & I have had an F350 for about 20 years, and been very happy with it. It is much older than yours (1997), but a very reliable beast. We have hauled 20 & 30 foot trailers with no problem, and while you might not get up the hills as fast, you will appreciate your reliability & modern features. I still have to get out and rotate the hubs to go into 4 wd. 😅😅 You might shop a bit more for the lightest camper that meets your needs - we had an Elkhorn, and it was heavy. Got rid of it. God bless, & best wishes on your new adventures!
Congrats on the new truck and further adventures! I went to buy the cookbook and It' sold out already! :( I can't wait till its back in again. I've tried some of your recipes from saved videos! Love ya'll!!!
Dude your Pop's is a man after my own heart. I will never use a grill again because of the Blackstone griddle. Also congratulations on that new King ranch that truck is sick!
Ya'll definitely do not let the grass grow under ya !!!! I am so excited for you. I love you guys. Change is good. You have to go for what you want for sure. Enjoy your journey and I am grateful you share it with all of us !!!
Great channel guys, you’ve got an amazing truck, that f-350 is in my wish list for sure. Thanks for bringing us viewers along for the ride and experience. This is Alan, greetings from Riverside In Southern California.
Congratulations on your new truck! It is up town high rent and ohhhh so beautiful. So glad Bearju got you both home safely and that you all were able to find your new rig quickly. Can't wait to see the truck camper and looking forward to seeing the NE with you all.
So happy for you both on this truck camper journey! One tip, look into a Geyser Hot water shower system. It can really stretch out your camping stays when water is limited.
Love the new truck. Always loved the King Ranch trim level, it’s just so nice all the way around! Excited to see what adventures you take us all on next!
Congratulations on the new lifestyle! Love your truck and love your videos, especially the hiking and cooking! You mentioned the Lance camper. We have a 2015 Lance travel trailer, and love it so much. Still seems like a new camper to us. They are a quality build and worth every penny in my book. Travel on!!
I’m so excited for you 2! Got my cook book!!!!! Yeaaaaa!!!!!!! Always rocking with yuh! Can’t wait to learn more from you both on this new venture. Funny thing is my husband will go camping more when we get an RV 😂. So glad to have a new way of DOME to show him 😁
So very happy for you both!!! Kelli I never seen you talk as much as you did this video hehe. You’re both so lovely and deserving of much happiness. We look forward to seeing what you get up to next!!
I live in central Vermont a stones throw to lake Placid and today’s high temp is going to be a high of 46*. You saved yourselves from some drizzly cold camping by heading south when you did. Peak foliage here in Vt is usually around Columbus Day we were very droughted this year so who knows how that will effect the colors. Oh also there was snow forecasted for the mountain tops for today. Though I’m seeing a warming trend 60’s next week. Bring swesters😂. Congratulations on your new home 🏠
Excited for your new chapter! Good luck and safe travels! ... *edit, wanted to add, my only concern may be with height with the camper and some of those tight places you go. May want to keep a pole saw with ya for some of those sagging tree limbs.
I am so happy to see the direction you guys are headed in. Looking forward to your new adventures. Happy trails to you, as my favorite cowboy used to say.
Kellie and Cody I'm so happy for you both. The truck is beautiful ! I received Gourmet in the Forest today. I can't wait to start cooking and trying out the recipes. I think I'll start with Shrimp and Grits. I'm so excited to watch your adventures in your new camper.
Congrats on the truck! I hope it's everything needed and then some. And that Blackstone, what can I say, I have the 36 also, and love, love, love it!!!! You can feed an army on that dude!!!
I've been watching your videos for a while I thought lol I watched one from 3 years y'all have really improved probably what one would look like if I made a video anyway you two are awesome and my wife and I love keeping track of your videos keep it up and thanks
Bankhead forest just south of Huntsville would be a good place to try out a new camper. We were tent campers for years, but the move to a van was a wonderful upgrade for us. Happy trails and ROLL TIDE!
Sold out already! I need to move faster next time. I love you two. So happy for your new purchase and the cookbook success. You're both so genuine and humble. Keep on keeping it real and we'll follow you anywhere. Not in a stalkerish kind of way...😁😁
And also when you're talking about living in the tent just look how much easier it's going to be for you to hook up and not have to undo all that stuff cuz it takes a lot of work y'all are so blessed and we enjoy you so much from Alabama hello
Wow! I am so excited for you guys! That truck is perty. I laughed when you said they’re hard to find but there were 3 in Longview. We like our trucks around here! 😂 Oh, and I am SO excited about the cookbook! I can’t wait to order mine. Just the other day I was scouring through your videos trying to find the pressure cooker spaghetti. The book will save me some time! Lol
Congratulations 🍾 make sure you hit Wild Wonderful West Virginia. I live in Kansas but grew up there. I love going to Arkansas because it reminds me so much of WV. Fall and Spring are spectacular!
Congrats on the truck! One thing I didn't see anyone point out in the comments is a correction about payload. An newer F-350 dually has about a 7000 lb payload. I hope y'all have a wonderful time!
I caught that to. Payload can be confusing. SRW are very limited on GVWR
Ford has a payload sticker in the door. Payload is a stock truck with a full tank of gas, no way its 7000lbs.
I appreciate y’all excitement. But I did catch that payload she mentioned. Annnd it didn’t sound right. You might want to research that again!
I know y’all are anxious to get back on the road - but I hope you realize that most of us who support and subscribe are following not just your adventures, but YOU! So no matter how long it takes to get back out there, we’ll be here!

Well said!!
Thank you
amen, we've told them this many times, its not about the camper or tent or camping method, its the PEOPLE!
Totally Agree!

I love the genuine excitement you both have about the new truck!!! Your happiness is contagious. Can't wait to see the camper!!!
We are very excited for both of you! A big step up from tent camping…safer and warmer!
I would think you'd want an 8 foot box to take in, put a camper on.@@charlesjleggett7452
Cody and Kelly good luck with the truck and camper happy camping
Excellent choice guys, excellent choice. It may ride a little rough without any payload, but when you get your camper it will smooth right out.
I'm super jazzed for you! We'll all rest a little easier knowing that you two will be warm and cozy this winter.
Congratulations! It couldn't happen to nicer people ❤️🎊🎉
I have not been able to watch the live broadcasts due to the hours I work, but been keeping up as best I can. So sorry you had the issues, but thrilled that you are going to be able to get back out. Love the truck. Prayers are with you both and wishing you all the best going forward. Continuing to watch... thank you!!
So happy for your new truck/camper! I would watch y’all even if you were camping in a cardboard box!

You guys are the sweetest people. I have been binge watching since I have been sick with covid. Thank you for the awesome content.
Congratulations 🎉
I've been Road Tripping for 30yrs.
So excited for you two! Meant wait to see your camper! You are gonna love how quick your set up is!
Wow congratulations on your new truck! You guys both deserve to have a new vehicle and a camper! #BeautifulNewTinyHome
I'm so happy for you guys! The cookbook, new gorgeous truck, and new camper coming 🔜🤩. You both looked so excited. Uptown high rent 😁🥰 for sure 😊.

I can’t wait to get my cookbook! So nice to see how your momma fulfills the orders! Just love y’all!
Great news. From the first time we watched your story unfold we have been waiting for this news. It’s great that you will be safer and more comfortable year round. Tenting has a season.
“We always go with our gut.” That’s why I love you guys! Congrats on the new truck, it’s a beauty!
Awesome truck, guys! I'm looking forward to all of your adventures in your beautiful rig. Alright! Glad to see the cookbook finally arrived!
Hello, my wife & I have had an F350 for about 20 years, and been very happy with it. It is much older than yours (1997), but a very reliable beast. All those trips in brand new truck. Look at all your hard work. It paid off.
Your excitement is contagious! Congratulations! We are so happy for you.
Dude your Pop's is a man after my own heart. I will never use a grill again because of the Blackstone griddle. Also congratulations on that new King ranch that truck is sick!

This is Alan, greetings from Riverside In Southern California.
This is about you and who your are...not about what you have...you will always be Dome Life for me!!!
This is so great. Watching you guys, I always feel like I'm watching friends. God bless you both and enjoy your new truck!

Damn!!! A King Ranch? That is "up town high rent". Great job guys.
Nice truck, nothing like cooking on a Blackstone grill. I bought a 28 inch over 4 years ago and lovin' every time we cook on it. Go Blackstone!!
Y’all do your thing! We’re here for the long haul. We just love hanging out with y’all!
Congratulations Kelly and Cody!
When you get more cookbooks please let me know and I’ll order a few.
Excellent choice, I’m sure you both will be much more comfortable in your truck camper. Excited to see how you adapt to this new lifestyle.
Congratulations on the new truck!!!! Wea re a Ford truck family also! What a beautiful truck guys!!! ❤️
Love the new truck. Always loved the King Ranch trim level, it’s just so nice all the way around! Excited to see what adventures you take us all on next!
Congratulations! I am so happy for you and kudos for making it as long as you did in a tent. A camper will change your world!
Congratulations on the new lifestyle! Love your truck and love your videos, especially the hiking and cooking! You mentioned the Lance camper. We have a 2015 Lance travel trailer, and love it so much. Still seems like a new camper to us. They are a quality build and worth every penny in my book. Travel on!!
It's all so exciting. A new rig. Moving on to bigger and brighter adventures. Congratulations on the cookbook too.

You won’t be under powered now.
Will be on the trail soon
Enjoy the new adventure
I live in central Vermont a stones throw to lake Placid and today’s high temp is going to be a high of 46*. You saved yourselves from some drizzly cold camping by heading south when you did.
Peak foliage here in Vt is usually around Columbus Day we were very droughted this year so who knows how that will effect the colors. Oh also there was snow forecasted for the mountain tops for today. Though I’m seeing a warming trend 60’s next week. Bring swesters😂. Congratulations on your new home 🏠
Please do not get rid of that awesome TRUNK! It’s fabulous!
Excited for your new chapter! Good luck and safe travels! ... *edit, wanted to add, my only concern may be with height with the camper and some of those tight places you go. May want to keep a pole saw with ya for some of those sagging tree limbs.
Beautiful truck. New vehicles are always exciting. I always liked that color combination. I ordered a Ford 2 door short bed in those colors in 1998.
Congrats to the both of you, can't wait to see the new camper.
I am glad that you are still going to use the tent when you can. You will be glad you have that option in the summer months i am sure
Congrats guys, so glad you guys did this. Life will be way more easy now. Can't wait to see it in person and hang out

I am so happy to see the direction you guys are headed in. Looking forward to your new adventures. Happy trails to you, as my favorite cowboy used to say.
On the air conditioner in your new camper have them add a soft start to the AC and the you can run your AC on small generator.
Glad it's a Ford! I was hoping! Kudos! My father-in-law has a F-150 with 450,000 miles, original engine/tranny.
Kellie and Cody I'm so happy for you both. The truck is beautiful ! I received Gourmet in the Forest today. I can't wait to start cooking and trying out the recipes. I think I'll start with Shrimp and Grits. I'm so excited to watch your adventures in your new camper.

Bankhead forest just south of Huntsville would be a good place to try out a new camper. We were tent campers for years, but the move to a van was a wonderful upgrade for us. Happy trails and ROLL TIDE!
So stoked for y’all! Congrats on the new wheels! Kelly, I think you named it ! The Beautiful Beast! 😎

Lol
