My favorite hack is to use masking tape on the edges of my front and a black pen to make a narrow border or frame on my front without adding bulk.
YOU WON, NANCY! Thank you so much for your hack share! Email me at marypolancodesigns@gmail.com to claim your box of goodies and apron!
@@marypolancodesigns this is so exciting! Thank you SO much!!
Mary, you and I go a ways back but not toooooooo long. 🤣 I love your channel and your projects-always. But more than that, I just wanted to tell you and any new subscribers you have gained that you are one of the most amazing and uplifting persons I’ve had the pleasure to get to know (over the internet). Please don’t change. We love you and all the positive energy you exude. Thank you for sharing all your crafty creativity and products you try. HUGS, my crafty friend!!! ♥️ Oh! And one of my favorite crafty hacks I share on my channel is to double your 65 pound card stock with tape runner and then die cut! Super easy and it reduces the number of times you have to adhere paper together when stacking dies cuts!
I love your tips channel too
SUCH a great tip! YAY! And thank you so so much for taking the time to say such kind and encouraging things, Kathya! You are just the best. Wendy Susan says she loves your channel too; not sure if you saw her comment here.
my absolute favorite trick i learned recently: when doing ink smooshing, put the inks down on a piece of acetate, spray with water, and then pick up the piece of acetate and put it ink side down onto the cardstock you want to smoosh on. this way you can actually SEE the pattern you're making, and can even slightly rub the wet areas to move around the ink a bit to where you may want it. It helps you have a bit of control where otherwise you'd normally just be blindly trusting the process. :)
bonus tip:if you're on a super tight budget, like i am, thrift stores and estate sales can be gold mines for the creative crafter! so often, especially at estate sales, they price things like cardstock and photo paper super amazingly cheap because they dont realize how valuable it can be to us crafty types. Good luck out there!
AMAZING tips thank you so much!
I like to stamp "Handmade by " on my paper crafts and I use a quickie glue pen to sign my name and then foil it. ☺️
What a great idea...have all the items and it never crossed my mind!! Thankyou for the tip...I love it! Xx
@@MsAliemm You are very welcome 😊
MIND...BLOWN this is amazing! Thank you
I love all of your tips! I still use the heat embossing trick, which I learned from you a year or two ago 😀 I was wondering how you could reuse those beautiful, rainbow-striped butterflies that were leftover? They're too pretty to throw away! Speaking of rainbows, that rainbow-sparkly htv is amazing! 🤩🌈 My favorite hack is to cut out dies when I first get them and then put the die cuts into a 3-ring binder, each inside it's own baseball card protector pocket. When I need inspiration, I just flip through my binder. It also helps me remember which dies I have! 🤣
WOW that's a great tip thank you so so much!
My hack is to use thick junk mail as an extra sheet of paper when die cutting. It helps to make sure that the intricate die cut has been cut all the way through my actual card stock and into the scrap paper.
WOW this is so good! And such a great way to recycle and reuse. Also, why do we get so much junk mail. lol it's 2022 already! lol
When I want a stamped die cut image to have a front and back: place a silicone mat on a stamping platform stamp image on silicone mat (2x). Next carefully place card on top of silicone mat, ink stamp up again and bring down on card. When you remove card image will be on both back and front. Die cut and WALA! If I want to mirror a stamp image I will stamp image on silicone mat and then place card on top of image and DO NOT RUB..USE YOUR FINGERS TO PUT PRESSURE ON IMAGE. Lift card and WALA! Have fun crafting ALL and much luck to all entering!
A-Mazing! Thank you
Now how freaking gorgeous is that apron?!? ❤️ I think my favorite hack is using Press N Seal. I mean I use it all the time in the kitchen so it’s always in the house. I grab a piece, line up my die cuts and place them all on a card at once. Brilliant kitchen and craft product!
If only we could buy it in Australia!
That's one of my faves too! YAY Thanks, Dana!

I think that this video of foiling techniques without a laminator is by far my favorite! I've always loved the look of foiling but was never able to try it...until now! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
You are so welcome! Thank you so much for sharing that with me; YAY!
How fun Mary! I love all the glimmery goodness.🥰 One of my favorite crafts hacks (so many hacks so little time) is resticking my Cricut cutting mats. After cleaning and letting dry, restick them using a thin coat of Aleen’s “Tack It Over and Over”, let dry. It’s like a new mat!
Thank you for the tip! I’ll try that!
@@ginareino3916 Watch some UA-cam vids on that too. It’s easier to do yourself after watching someone going through the process.
What a great tip! I never would have thought of that. thanks SO much. Yes! So little time for our "fun" stuff in life 🤣
@@irishk.1041 Welcome! Not my idea, just a favorite 😍
I have clean mine with a cleaner that you can buy in dollar tree called "Awesome" and when it dries it is sticky again.
My favorite hack that you shared is foiling the die cuts. That will add a whole new level of awesome on my cards. For a hack I use, is when I am stamping and/or die cutting for a card, I go ahead a stamp a few more and put in the case with the stamps. Then when I need a quick card, I can just grab and put together
WOW such a great idea; thank you so much!
I definitely love the hack of using an iron for foiling!!!
A personal hack I ha e used for years is keeping a coloring page on a clipboard until I am done. That way it is ready to pick up at any time. Also, when working on a paper project. Keep it all together on a tray, or scrapbook tote or even a clean cookie sheet. That way when you are ready to finish that project, you still have all the needed parts.
I love these tips so much; amazing! Thank you so much for sharing!
Mary, some different ways to foil is always a plus, especially using my dies. I guess what I discovered was common sense, but I always had a hard time using glitter on my cards. It is so easy, with double sided adhesive. One side sticks to your project and the exposed side really holds on to the glitter. So simple but I’m a visual person so I needed to see it🤪.
Thank you so so much! This is great and I love this tip too!
Hi, Mary, terrific ideas as always! My tip to share is for stamped textured backgrounds. You never have to look further than your kitchen’s food wrapper drawer. Making a ball of plastic wrap, aluminum foil, waxed paper, parchment paper or freezer paper (you can use paper towels, too) and dipping them into your ink pad, then “stamp” onto paper to create a new background. Each one stamps differently, especially if scrunched loosely versus tightly. It’s so much fun! Enjoy!
Great tip! I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! YAY! Thank you
Mary my girl! I think my favorite tip this time was hydrating with coffee🤣! Seriously I loved watching the heat press foil. Actually I watch everything you do! Thanks for being here to share with all of us!
Oh this is so encouraging! Thank you so much for such a sweet comment! YAY So happy you're here.
One of my fave tips to save card stock or patterned paper: On a layer that will be covered in the middle, by another layer, punch out shapes , such as tags, with paper punches, or dies. Save the punched shapes for future cards/projects. Once the next layer is added, you won’t ever be able to tell shapes were punches out of the previous layer! Also makes card lighter, so it can possibly save postage.
YESSS I Love this tip; this is a great one I do with my glitter cardstock.
Mary, I have an enormous collection of neat glitters that I inherited. I love using double sided tape to make my own glitter strips to place on cards. Now that I have seen your video on double sided tape to cut out small die cuts and foil, I'm going to incorporate doing that and use glitter too! Thank you!
I LOVE that hack, yes! Thank you so much and I"m so glad this was helpful!
These trucks were awesome. Thank you for the share.
Glad you like them! THis was so fun to do and I had a blast experimenting
Thank you Mary for reminding me to take care of myself by doing what I love. l have not been crafting or reading for a long time because I just don't have the time. I must make the time. Thank you.
You are so welcome and yes you MUST make the time. I've put these things in my "non-negotiable" category now.
There are many tips I like, but there are two that I use a lot. The first: if you use double sided foam tape for a shaker card, the foam tape is easily shaped around (for instance a circular shape) if you take off the backing paper. The second tip: if you want to glue some cardstock background onto your base card with double sided tape, I like to peel off a small part of the backing paper and fold it to the side. I do all four corners, two corners on the top (left) and two corners on the bottom (right). So diagonally from peeled corners. Then you can move the background to the correct position. Carefully peel the rest of the backing paper away and your work is perfectly aligned…
Thank you for your tips and tricks👍
AMAZING tips and tricks. Thank you so so much for sharing!
Mary , I am new to card making , and I also love love love watching your videos because you teach soooo much about how to use what you have instead of going out and buying more stuff . I have double sided adhesive sheets and so I think I am going to be doing that today . Thank you so much for sharing your awesome hacks and I can learn from these , so it helps me tremendously!!!!! I love the apron that you and your daughter made , it's very cute ! Please continue your good work on this channel . Mary you are the "BOMB"!!! 😊❤️🖌️🎨🖍️🪡🧵🧶

Hack I learned this year , you can use glue to foil with let it get tacky then put foil down and rub it with bonefolder
Such a great tip!
Oh Mary, I love your Foiling Hacks! I've got foil and some backgrounds that I ordered for my Minc Machine. Haven't been using the backgrounds because I don't want to buy more. These hacks are genius! I would love to try them, but I need some sticky backed paper, some of the glue you mentioned and a heat press. Yes, I have an iron, but not sure what setting it would take. About the only tip I have is that I have my Cricut Machine on a lazy susan. Works great. Thank you so much. You are so cute and glad your daughter got to "rip" off the final cover sheet.
I love your hack; great idea! Thank you so much for this, Carole!
Hi Mary, I hope you get the sponsors you need. The electic cutting machines has sharp edges on the cuts, not rounded like manual dies. So what I do is stack/glue a few cuts and then run them though the manual machine between the plates to kind of squish and smooth those sharp edges. Love the pretty live well sign, something I could really pay more attention to for sure. Glad you are living well. Looks like you're kiddo loves to craft, how fun for you both 😊
Thank you so much for sharing this and for your well wishes! I appreciate you!
Mary, I love your videos, which I am new to. I didn’t know you have an Etsy shop, will have to stop there next! My hack is using a mug tree for my spoils of ribbon on my desk and a dvd rack for my stamps in Dvd cases
Oh those are great organizational hacks. love them!
The greatest hack ever: watching UA-cam! Building a library titled by technique or supply (ie., stamp how to)! Subscribing and learning through videos like this!!!
I hadn't thought about that but you are so right; organizing tutorials is amazing!
@@marypolancodesigns Aw thank you Mary! I am a huge fan of yours and referenced you in my tiny collection of videos for my small business! It was for the Bearly Art glue and I made sure to encourage crafters to watch you! I am going to encourage customers to watch all the crafters I love! And THANK YOU for your service!
Amen on the crafting part. LOL Great addition. As for a tip. When you're working with sticky stuff, stay with me here, just use a little spit (okay that's always with you right) or add a little water to your finger that's touching the sticky. You'll be able to let it release without an issue and it will continue to allow it to stick down. Hope that helps.
Great tip! I'll have to try this for sure!
Hello Mary Foiling has always scared me!!! lol However, I will try some of your techniques and
hopefully I will do better. I enjoy listening to you because you have one of the sweetest dispositions and you are very good at explaining things. Thank you
Oh thank you so very much for such a sweet and encouraging comment. I appreciate you!
Mary, thank you for your hacks. You can try and make another tutorial because one don’t need glimmer plates or dies to use any heat foil machine. I have the spellbinders and I tried lots of my regular dies and follow the steps as if they were glimmer and all of them foiled beautifully. I don’t record my craft although I purchased a good camera to make my tutorials for the Spanish community mostly, but I got really sick and I was diagnosed with several rare syndromes and to make it short, my last surgery in Virginia at the VCU was a pancreas inlet cells transplant, but although I am able to eat once a day under pain management I lost too much muscle mass and I am too weak. Thank you for all of your tips and tricks, I enjoye them so much. Many Blessings.
🙏🙏🙏
All my healing love and energy your way! I hope you find comfort; thank you so much for sharing all of this with us!
Thank you for this - I always love watching your videos. You give great information and have a totally enjoyable style. My favorite "use what you have" hack is to cut up my old Cricut or Silhouette sticky mats for use in my stamping tool or to hold my paper and stencils while I'm inking. They are still sticky enough for this even when they are not sticky enough anymore for the cutting machine.
That....is .....brilliant! YES totally doing that. Thank you so much for your sweet comment too; means so much
Loved the Live Well apron, bless your Crafting Assistant too...X
😊 thank you
Great and fun video as always. My craft hack is I put liquid glue on my foam tape so I can move it If necessary for perfect placement on my project.
Great tip! I LOVE THAT so much!
Great helpful ways to foil.. and you crack me up! Love watching you.
Thanks so much! That means so much! I am so happy you're having a good time with me.
Wow, really exciting how much you packed into this video! It's such an exciting time for crafters, with so many sophisticated tools now accessible for small home studios. Some of us are old enough to remember when a lot of these processes were only available in large-scale, production equipment. That little roller press for die cutting is so clever! You make it look so easy, too- no substitute for skill and practice!
Thanks so much for this! Yes even when I started out 15 or so years ago, not near as many gadgets.
Thank you so much for sharing these foiling hacks! I'd never realised you could use embossing powder to foil with! Such a cool tip! Now I know what my iron is really for!!
Hahaha....YES i love that. It's not for chores...never! lol
So many great hacks hard to pick one. My most recent is the Citrus-Strip etching on powder coated tumbles. Super cool and professional looking.
Thanks for sharing!! I need to know more about this!
I had to laugh when I saw the foil cutting mat with cutters. I had a bigger one I bought for quilting along with small rotary cutter. Now I use it for both types of projects. It was awesome to use on my foil. I cannot cut foil well with scissors so started using my rotary cutter when I saw Simon Hurley use one. After I saw this video I grabbed my ruler downstairs when I ventured out for my once a week trip to buy groceries and go to Dr appointment. I want everything upstairs to use as I wait pre and post surgery on knee surgery. Tyfs great ideas as always Mary
Thanks so much for sharing with me. Thats a great use of another crafty tool. YAY!
I’m not sure this is a hack or not but when I don’t feel like pulling out a bunch of supplies and really crafting I just get out a die set and cut images, or make backgrounds from scraps or washy tape, then when I am feeling like creating it is much easier because I can use my pre made things.
Debbie this is absoluuuutely a hack. you are saving time in the long run and you are also keeping yourself creative. SO great!
My goodness Mary, that apron is so darn cute! I recently die cut some butterflies and thought they needed something so I used "The Best Glue Ever" and dabbed a bit on the edges. This glue also stays tacky so I applied some foil and the butterflies came out so pretty!
YES I bet they were amazing! How pretty!
I love these ideas. Thanks Mary I learned so much from you today.
I'm so glad! THanks for sharing that with me.
Way to go to bring us another way to foil without the purchase of an expensive machine and dies!! I bow down!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. Never thought to use an iron!! Thank you from the bottom of my bank account!! Bravo!! 🥰👏🏼🌴
Oh this makes me so happy! I'm so grateful this was useful; thanks for letting me know.
The hack that I the most is the same as Cordelia. I use clear embossing power on just about everything I stamp....makes for easy coloring with no smearing and also makes everything look so clear and precise!!!! Thanks for all the inspiration Mary!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Great tip! I love that one too!
Foiling and heat embossing has been my most favourite of crafting!
First of all, congrats on the new heat press, and that apron is awesome! Secondly, I love all of the foiling hacks you shared!
I'm not sure if this is a hack or not, but I am in the process of reorganizing my embossing powders and combined a few different things I saw on various youtube channels to create an embossing powder organization method that is really helpful. For every embossing powder, I die cut a circle and a tag from the same white cardstock I typically use. I stamp a very detailed image in black on the circle and stamp the same image in embossing ink near the middle of the tag. I then cover the bottom half-inch or so of the tag and the entire circle with embossing ink, then apply the powder and set as usual. The circle gets stuck on the top of the jar (or front of the bag) and the tag gets labeled with the powder name and goes on a cable organizer arranged by color.
This lets me use the tags to a) see how well the powder handles detailed images and b) put the embossed edge of the tag next to where I want to apply embossing powder to make sure I like the color match. I can also tell at a glance which container holds the powder I want and whether it is translucent, semi-opaque, or opaque. It's not really a hack because it takes so much time to get everything sorted initially, but once the work is done, it makes it INCREDIBLY easy to grab the powder I want and figure out which powder will work best for different applications. I didn't realize just how much time it saved until I was creating a card a few days ago and was able to quickly check the tags against my background to figure out what color I wanted to emboss my sentiment in.
This is definitely one of those time investments that pays dividends when creating. I love it thank you so much for sharing!
As usual Mary - awesome hack video. I loved the tip about the clip on the embossing powder bag. Now THAT is a great one!! 😊 I HAVE to try that die cut foiling method. Wow, that will make a lot more uses for all my pretty dies. Love, love, love it when we can have multiple uses for our supplies. Glad to see you let you daughter help. Pass it down to the younger generation 👍
Thank you so much for this comment Irish! I had a blast with Aydia and she even came back for more.
One of my favourite craft hacks is to cut your stamped images on a scan n cut. Saves buying dies for all of your stamps.
YES indeed; that is a great hack; you save so much money over time by not buying the dies.
I love these ideas. Thanks Mary I learned so much from you today. I like using fun foam for dimension instead of foam squares. You can cut into any size needed and no waste.
Great idea! I really do love that!
Great ideas and very beautiful cards thx Mary
Thanks so much!
Great tips. I love the foiling using double sided tape. The best tip/advice I have received for crafting.... I actually have 2..... invest in a stamp positioner...positioned.... and find the time and make the effort to do some amount of crafting (or favorite hobby) daily. Thanks so much
Great tips and I totally agree!
I’ve been making cards for a while & I recently learned that we can use the fancy side of a paper napkin, by taking all the other backing sheets off, then putting it on Kmart Craft brown wrapping paper, heat sealing it with an iron. That paper has a waxy side, that’s the side you hear set the napkin too. Another quick hack is using packing tape to adhere images to. Then after you’ve got your image adhered, soak in warm water for a short while, then scrap off the paper & voila you’ve got a translucent ephemera for your project. I’ve also seen the self heal cutting mats used as replacements for Die cutting machines
Ok this sounds like something I need to try! But also like I need you by my side walking me through it. lol

Glad it was helpful! Thank you so much for sharing that with me.
that apron is sooo cute. Mine is not a hack, but was what freed me to use my paper easier. that was making handmade paper out of my scraps. i had a reluctance to use my colored cardstock, and what allowed me to use it more willingly was that the scraps I would make into handmade paper. i saw another youtuber using it on Earth Day, Arnold Grummer's paper making kit. so since i was using the scraps to make more paper, i felt ok to cut into it, especially die cutting.
This is definitely a hack; an earth-friendly one! Love it; thanks for sharing
Stunning cards! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
So beautiful! I have SO much foil I told my husband to NEVER let me order anymore! 😂
Hahah good accountability partner
There are so many fantastic tricks, tips and hacks I've seen/heard of so it's hard to pick just one. I think the most important one is that There Are No Rules. Obviously you have to follow safety rules, and stuff like that, but as for crafting, use the colors you want, mix and match styles to suit your own tastes, and the only real rule is to follow your own creativity.
This is the BEST Hack I've seen; #TeamNoRules Thank you so much for sharing this
Hi Mary I'm a new subscriber, but I've seen you for a while and kept liking what I saw so here I am.
I use to stamp a lot but the hack I use is die cutting the 4 x 3 cut out cards using circles, squares, dies or even punches.
THank you so much for sharing this; what are the 4x3 cut out cards you reference?
Favorite crafting hack? Using good tools. Not really a hack, I suppose, but it makes me capable of so much more. My creations are more professional looking, more varied, and just generally better when I use good tools. Thanks for these tips. I love your Live Well philosophy.
Thanks for sharing! And thank you for your encouragement. I am so grateful you shared this.
Hi Mary, Love the apron, and that new heat press looks great too, my fav hack is the cold foiling on your cards no tools need which is good when you have a small craft space, TFS, take care, Cheers Anna.
Thank you so much Anna! I love not having to heat up my laminator for this!
Hello Mary, I don't foil. I will now with your hack using double sided sheets, which I have! Thank you so much for all the helpful ideas you share 🙂
Wonderful! I'm so glad it was helpful!

Love your videos ! Have enjoyed learning about to use foil. Can’t wait to give it a try!
Thanks, Sarah
Wonderful! Thanks for letting me know! Have fun with it.
I started card making about 4 yrs ago with a tiny machine like that one. It travels with me to DC when I visit my daughter, and even sometimes when I visit some family members. This year I have done most of my Christmas die cuts while visiting. Now I’m impatiently waiting for the switch from Scrapbook, my hands are in pain. I like your new shelves. T4s
Oh thank you so much, Regina for sharing. If you'd like to get on my email list i get a heads up sometimes about the Sizzix machine and other things that come in stock. You can get a free printable download when you join me too. mailchi.mp/9922b14fa9a7/irk9lyiidp Just a thank you!
My favorite tip is to make lots of sentiments from dies. That way, when you need a sentiment, just go to your stash. I die cut sentiments from colored card stock using lots of colored ink pads, then emboss. Somehow, you just feel “wealthy”. When you look at all of the ready to go sentiments.
This is brilliant thank you so much for sharing!
Awesome hacks Mary 🥰 I love your new machine, your designs and your tutorial ❤️ thanks for sharing your creativity Hugs xx
Thank you, Joan! YAY
I didn't discover it, but it's the best hack I have ever learned. I always place a piece of acetate over my project where I want to stamp a sentiment. That way I make sure it is straight and in the right place before I stamp it on my card or other project. It's been a life saver for me many, many times.
I still haven't started doing that but I'm going to! Thank you
Ordered that heat press. Have been researching one that doesn't require an elephant to sit on it to lock. This one is perfect.
Oh I hope you love it; it's been amazing to work with.
One of my favorite hobbies is cooking! When making deviled eggs I take a plastic bag , sandwich size, and put all of the hard boiled yokes into the bag. I zip it shut squish it with my hands until crumbled. Open the bag and add the rest of the ingredients. Zip up again and squish it until all mixed up. Cut a small hole in a corner of the bag. Now you are ready to pipe the ingredients into the eggs. When done, just throw out the bag!
I DO THAT TOO! Ok, I mash it up first and then put it in the bag, but WOW such a great tip.
Wow I love the fact that you can use double sided tape/adhesive and foil!! WOW
YAY such a great trick. Thank you!
There were two hacks I learned. The first was die cutting images out of the double sided tape and then foiling. The second was using the heat press after embossing. Genius 😀
Oh I'm so glad this was a helpful video! YAY!
My favorite card making hack is to use dollar tree poster board with alcohol inks!
This is one of my favorites too!
What I am hearing from your channel that makes so much sense but I am struggling with is use what you have. I love to craft and I love new products I thank you for your encouragement to cure my “ I need it all” affliction. With that said I like the hack of using the tacky glue I have and the foil I have without having to buy a bunch of new tools. Love your videos!
Oh thank you so much! And I struggle with it too and sometimes just let myself by some new things because it's fun! I just took the pressure of myself from feeling I NEED them!
Love the butterflies!!
YAY! Thank you so much!
The easiest hack for me was the glue. I never seen that before. All these hacks were very useful. Thanks I appreciate all the time and effort you put together for this video.

Since times and funds are tight, I’ve started using my nail no wipe UV topcoat and foil transfer gel to seal, gloss, and foil transfer…. But!!! Your transfer foil ideas have even more money saving properties!!! Oh my goodness, stellar! And I love that apron! New subscriber because of this video!
WOAH! That's an amazing tip, Leigh! Thank you so much for sharing that. I'm so glad you're joining me! YAY!
Love it. Thanks. I have the baby heat press and the momma - 10 x 10. Love them. Waiting for dad to be delivered. So excited. These presses are really good. BTW, I just discovered foiling, like yesterday (where in the universe have I been, clearly not on earth. 😂) and WHYYYYYYYY, another obsession. 😂
Hahaha...I don't have a foiling hot machine and probably won't get one. So I'm behind the crafty times too. LOL I do love it even without the machine.
Great ideas, all of them were new to me, thanks for this
So glad! Thanks for letting me know about this!
WOW, Mary, great tips !!! Love what you made!!🥰 You are so creative!! I love using foil🥰 And using the double sided tape you can you all your dies!!! Awesome!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend my friend🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so so much! THat means a lot to me.
Great Video Mary- I just love your videos!
Thank you so much! That means so much!
Thanks Mary! I forget to use my double sided adhesive sheets and need to practice this technique. I have such foil gathering dust. I also want to mention that I thought the Cricut heat press was a "crock" because I have an iron, but I bought one at an incredible price--and it's a game changer. My vinyl projects come out perfectly every time. (I bought the 9x9). I love your videos--you're truly an inspiration.
Thanks so much Allie! I have the 9x9 too and love both of them. Yes I was on team "it's a crock" too until I bought one. hahah
oh my goodness I love all the tips.. using double sided adhesive and die cutting for foiling is my favorite.. love the live well that includes crafting.. would love that on a pink t-shirt, however I don't have a press like you or a cricket or vinyl lol.. if you ever make t-shirts with it I would be happy to purchase on a ( pink t-shirt ) heck any bright color would be nice.. have a great night my friend, and always thank you
Hi Robin, so good to know thank you for the idea! I appreciate it very much.
@@marypolancodesigns let me know if you make them.. I wear a large thank you have a great day
My most used hack/tip is drawing sketchy lines with a fineliner pen around a sentiment.
I LOVE THAT and have to try!
Thanks for the foiling hacks. I didn't know some of these, and appreciate the help. Love the saying you created. Everyone needs an apron! those are adorable. Love the sticky/tacky glue hack. I've used double sided tape several times, but not to do the die cutting. That was great!
Thank you so much for this! I appreciate your encouragement! The sheets are great and let you die cut any die you have. YAY!
Best tip for me was the heat embossing and then use a little handpress to foil… I immediately tried it with a sentiment and it looked soooooo amazing 🫶
Thank you so much
YAY! I'm so so happy that was helpful. THank you for sharing this
Love this foil technique thank you for sharing have a blessed day
Thanks so much Brenda! YAY!
That apron is super cute! I love the rainbow vinyl. I never thought of using my mini press with foil - great idea. Thanks!
Thanks so much! 😊
Great video Lady! Always uplifting, honest and funny! Loved that Heat press tool and I can't wait to give it a try! Keep up the great work Sunshine! Blessings!
Thank you! You too! I appreciate this sweet comment so much!
My hack is taking any one dimensional design and tweak it so that it is 3-d. By either using simple foam or a shaker card, or additional leaves or pedals that are curved, or a fold in the card that turns the whole card into a mystery fold. Thus adding something that draws people to want to “touch “ your card and just see if….lol Chris
Such great tips Mary! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
Love your foiling hacks! Thanks
Thank you so much!
I had my computer die on me [well, okay, I killed it by knocking a glass of ginger beer into it]. It's taken far too long to replace, so I have missed you so much, I love the double-sided tape trick to foil, and I am thrilled to see you using and expanding it I've mainly only used it to make borders, never done even occurred to me that's why you-da-man!m so creative and clever! the embossing powder trick has, sadly, never worked for me, so, kudos to you. you rock!, I wish there was a way we could connect over a cup of coffee, my husband roasts ours, and you are always welcome here for a cup, but, I am in San Francisco, and I somehow got the impression you were an east coaster, sigh
Thank you for this! I'm so sorry to hear about your computer...AND your spilled beer...booo! lol Yes I'm on the East coast but your invite is still so sweet; thank you!
Love these hacks Mary. Never thought about the embossing idea. I have used a glue pad with stamps to use the foil that doesn't require heat
I'm so glad it was helpful!
What a great video! I’m going to try all of them today! I’m going to say my favorite hack is the clip on the bag. I have heard it a lot, but today I wrote it down so there’s a chance I’ll remember to actually do it. 🙄 Thanks!!
Bahahah...yes i have to write down EVERYTHING!
Thanks for sharing! Awesome to learn that I don't need a foiling machine. I do have a laminator but don't know how to use it for this. These work for me! ❤
You are so welcome! YAY
Mary love the tip on foiling over an embossed image-never saw that done. One of my favorite tips is to rub a little baby powder over you cut vinyl project so you can see where to weed,
WOW brilliant, thank you so much for this!
My favorite hack is using press n seal to pick up the pieces after I have layered out my design.
SUCH a good one! YES
A great hack I just learned from you foiling over embossing
I'm so glad that was helpful; so fun
Thank you, Mary, for some very cool ideas. I love the one with the die cuts, I am going to try that today. thank you again. Love your channel
Thanks so much, that means a lot to me!
These are great ideas. It is always a bonus when you can use something you already have. I also checked out that press... im'press'ive ... nice machine. I also liked using various tools. I have a cricut and a switch... i love stamps and dies but I also love making offset sentiments with my cricut and i love the card size dies for quick and easy mats and frames. :) Happy Crafting!
Thank you so much for this!
Great tips!! I love that I can now use all my dies with my foil.
YAY so happy it was helpful!
