THIS is the downhill dream | Mountain Biking BOC in Ponca, Arkansas

- Progressive Trail Design took 1,000 feet of elevation and turned it into one of the best rides in Arkansas. This ride is neck and neck with Mt. Nebo for the most fun you can have on the Oz Trails.
There's definitely a LOT more bang for your buck out here than anywhere else. We did three shuttles and I was toast, but I think with proper pacing and rest breaks you could get four AMAZING runs in.

🚲 I'm sponsored by IBIS and ride a RIPMO. I love it, build yours here: bkripmo.com
🚐 Curious about my van? Here's more info: bkxc.bike/the-van
Pretty cool to have the other rider “mic’ed” up.
I came here to say the exact same thing!
Me too, that’s very cool!
You know, you may not like jumps that much but when it come to technical, you just charge. Always on the edge of my seat watching you fly over the chunk.
Love all of that dudes trail call outs.
The Ponca area in general is just a hidden gem for Arkansas. Glad you've enjoyed different parts of our state!
Agreed, this was always my go to area when trying to get out from south Louisiana
Brian, it was cool to meet you here in Arkansas. It seemed like you and Sarah got the rockstar treatment and had a great time. When my friends ask me what I’m doing in the woods now I just send links to your videos. Thanks for your open minded approach to the area and kind words for the experiences. Cheers!
2 of my favorite channels in one. Thanks. You killed it again. I totally blame you and Drew for blowing part of my kids college fund to go to Arkansas.
Sad to see AR winding down. Looks like you had a great time there and the videos have been stellar.
Those trails looked so damn fun. They looked steep AF and with gopro footage, if it looks steep in video, its hella steep in real life. You riding with Drew, is doing amazing things for your abilities. Good stuff Brian!!
The Arkansas trip has been fantastic. Hooking up with Drew really worked ! You are getting fast . Whoo !
Ponca nearly killed me. That place is crazy. I don't know how people haven't ridden this place more.
BKXC : anything!!HIS FRIEND : YEAAAH!!
I grew up going to Ponca bible camp for spring break every year in junior and high school and hiking. Frequently visit Bentonville but didn’t realize Ponca had riding. I’ll have to check it out!
Love your videos,it is just like a real life experience. When are going to met seth love you both.❤❤❤
Thanks for all the great content. Its been great.
Ponca is SICK! We had so much fun there.
Always love your videos man! Keep up the great work!
Great videos BK, they’ve inspired me during lockdown to purchase a mountain bike & get outside and enjoy more of the Scottish countryside. Really enjoyed it!
Many thanks for your inspiration in getting more folks outside & getting healthy 👍🏻
Would love to see a post ride video with tips on how you navigated certain sections for those of us always looking to improve our riding. Obviously a variety of skills were used. Would be cool to match the skill to the section.
hi Sir Brian i always watch your videos. I take inspiration from you to ride a bike. I'm from the Philippines 🇵🇭 by the way. Rida safe always Sir
Trails are amazing! You look like you are getting better following all the fast riders.
Glad you enjoyed those trails. I was on them last weekend and it was a whole lot of fun.
That looked like an incredible day of riding amazing trails.
Love your Office lunch view😀
Wasn't this a perfect trail !!!! Really enjoyed watching
My favorite place to ride!
Due you really captured this one.
Yeah, that's my kind of trail!
Man these videos get my blood going and wanting to jump on my bike everytime! Will be in Bentonville first week in June and honestly don't know what trails to hit first they all look amazing!
Love the videos. Just arrived in Bentonville today with the family. Got to experience some of slaughter pen this afternoon. Loving it so far.
Definitely reminds of the time you spent with @McTrailRider in Spain. Again great video and epic adventure in Arkansas
Drew is right about Nebo. It is awesome.
That skull crusher trail was crazy!
I miss the 50 state shred music at the end of your videos, I'm always expecting to hear it and feel disappointed when I don't. Not complaining
Dude!!! I'm on my way to float the buffalo this weekend, and I'm setting off in Ponca! Thanks so much for letting me know about this, I'm definitely going to check it out while I'm there!
Edit: While you're in town you might want to float the upper buffalo, it's a fantastic time. Maybe on one of these days where it's too wet. If you can catch a trip from Ponca to Kyle's landing, that's the best part
yay! you did it! long drive but a great ride!
Wow! Brian, need to let you know that I really like the change in style for the videos. After last year's insanity, it has to feel really good to be in one place for a while. Great job. loved the video. I was curious how you thought of this compared to Spain.
Holy crap this looks fun! Gotta get down there one day!
Man your fast but they are seriously fast!!! They were moving !!!
This place looks epic, the first run alot of the trail looked of camber. Awesome place dude
Making my way back for the second time tomorrow driving out there watch the video over the moon
Woah.....this place looks awesome! Gotta go gotta go
SHREDDING
Trails looks dreamy!
That rock at 1:36. Woahhh
Legend is back with a bang ..😃
Nice video Brian!!
Rider skill is important but trail familiarity rules the day at times. Rich really cased that double into the berm. Thought he was going to buck otb. Sweet recovery.
Awsome ride dude, so fast!
That was thrilling to watch!
it is not so easy to find a video 15 minutes long which you watch and don t want it to end. Cheers.
Awesome Stuff!! 7:05 so true!!
Figured you'd appreciate this: went to BOC for the first time last week and it was gnarly... probably won't bring an xc hardtail with xc tires next time😂 Mule Kicker kicked my butt, I'll be back with more suspension and maune some knew pads, too much fun!
Hahaha, holy moly I would have packed it up after the first run and driven home!
Only time I’ve ever seen Rich Drew case a jump 😂 he’s human after all!
love the Rip mo
Next time in Ponca you need to eat at Low Gap cafe. Huge portions and great tasting grub.
I love ponca over nebo. Its just so raw. yeah the climbs out suck, but that dowhill chundra is what its about.
I can never tell if Brian is laughing because he's having fun or if it's a nervous.."I almost died☠ laugh"? 😁
Dude he ain’t lying when he says “go ride something new and that you might run into him” I went to Bryce bike park in Virginia for the first time and ran into @bkxc totally by accident first big UA-camr I’ve gotten to meet @bkxc is one of the guys who got me into mtb through his yt vids crazy shit 🔥🤙🏻
I've loved these Arkansas videos. Thanks for putting these out there to entertain and inspire us. Now that you've ridden a nice selection of what Arkansas has to offer I'm curious to know you thoughts on the best bike set up if you could have just one bike. Specifically thinking suspension travel, light weight vs. durability, tires, etc.
I got to clean this lens off is code for having to clean my shorts. awesome video!
Cool 😎
Sick trails!
Beautiful trails, super cool dudes :)
Love your vids!
Great video Brian! Who knew Arkansas was so legit????
Best place between the Rockies and Appalachia
Awesome looking trails! You should spend a couple weeks in VT - some of the best riding in the country that not many people know about
I love that trail I live like 35 minutes away
I love Ponca, AR! White Lightening is a trip. Hopefully you got to check out Horseshoe Canyon Ranch and the Buffalo National River at Steel Creek while you were there. And eat at the Ozark Cafe in Jasper.
omg Ozark Cafe soo good
fuck'n intense!
So fast and chunky. I'm scared just watching it. :-)
I had the same problem with the axs paddle as well, but didn’t want to re-train my brain so I just switched the orientation on the app and now it feels normal again. Give it a try and see if it helps.
@BKXC what camera do you use? the gopro9 black without the gimble? or with the gimble? cause it`s looking good !
NVM i saw the link in the description :D .
i`d like to see once in a while some hard climbing...to see the technique yuo have.
cheers...keep up the good work
You is a best cycle rider
I made the mistake of going down on the black line(Mule Kicker) recently. The steep last part gotten worse. There was lot of water going through it(like a waterfall) and they modified(or water did it) it to be much more steeper. Worse part about it, there was no way around it
Awesome
sick place
Rock berms so sick
You are flying Not when a been out of my comfort zone ×5
That's got to be one the hardest trails you've done for a while Brian.
Well done!...them CHUNKS tho!!😅🤙
Great video ! Thanks for posting , speaking of tire pressure what pressure are you running on this trail ?
you are the best ❤️💪
You should change the channel to BKDH :) good to see your riding progressing so aggressively over the last few years :)
superb💥
will you ever go to the railyard? or are you too chicken to do the big scary jumps?
You can tell when Brian is a bit nervous on a ride when he becomes quiet and has little to say .
Yeah, I've turned the volume down on his other videos because of his constant chatter.
@@slickrock1371 you’re missing out on his commentary man
@@josephbaranowski1235 Usually a nervous chuckle...."I'm in danger!"
That's when he has the most fun,
@@eloonto851 I am not sure you can call it fun when you do something that is scary . Its exhilarating and can be an adrenaline rush which may give the false appearance of fun . I have surfed big waves dove down in the depths of the ocean confronted sharks and kuda . Mountain Bike black diamonds on my budget hardtail . Fun is doing something without risk of bodily harm . When your heart is pounding going off a ledge that's not fun . A sense of accomplishment that your skills and maybe some luck got you on the other side but fun I would say not .
So this seems to be 2way radio set up ? Judging by the distance between riders . Having in ear audio can help you go faster as it suppresses trail noise.
Imagine skills ,experience cyclist ,,enjoy ur Day,,,i watched your every vlogs,...from India
This Is awesome
I've always wanted to ride trails like these, but FS bikes are always going to be out of my price range. I'm still rolling on a Raleigh Tokul 2 I got back in 2014 and Its still holding up very well. Maybe one day, Been saying that for 10 years lol.
You are the best
great
I've ridden Ponca twice. Videos do not do it justice. Mule Kicker kicked me right in the face. lol
These guys take you to their home court and they’re trying to do a PR escorting you around, I can see how it could be a bit dangerous scary having never ridden there much if at all.
BKXC You got good survival skills
Rich hadn't ridden there before either, actually. And that wasn't race pace for him.. but yeah. Generally good point. That being said, unless they ride these trails often, no Arkansans have home court advantage on these trails, as they're so unlike everything else in Arkansas. The enduro race out there this season is going to be... interesting. I expect maximum carnage.
You should do a video since you’ve been everywhere on who has the best dirt and describe what makes them so good or bad
Each trail system rate the dirt 1-10
Your suspension looks super good, can you share you sag %, LSC, LSR, HSC, and the amount of tokens you have in there? I have a lyric ultimate 150mm 29 and the Rockshox trailhead app doesn't give me any of the compression settings. Thanks!
You should ride the Hot Springs trails before leaving Arkansas.
Sick
I always go high also dude 🔥
Rich have a floaty on his back just in case you fall in water? Not often you pucker up on a trail...
You should make a shirt that says “cool” -bkxc lmao
