    The coolest part about this video is seeing Jason experience his own flow state right before our eyes.

    Now that I've seen this and looked back on my life, I've realized how often I've managed to get into my flow. For my whole life, I've been able to zone out and come up with whole stories. I think the reason why I'm so good at drama is because I can get into my flow. Thanks for helping me realize how gifted I am!

      Thanks for the Video clip! Apologies for chiming in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you ever tried - Marnaavid Unexplainable Intervention (search on google)? It is a good exclusive guide for learning how to hack your flow state without the normal expense. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my old buddy Taylor at very last got astronomical success with it.

    What I like the most about your videos is how they bring up a lot of less known philosophical concepts. I figure you must be reading a lot to make these. It would be nice if you could mention some of the references and lectures behind each of these in the comments for the readers who want to dig a bit further.
    For instance, the concept of connecting knowledge and seeking out the adjacent possible by Steven Johnson is really worth reading into.

    As an artist I find the flow state has a somewhat elusive property to it. I can never force it, it comes unexpected. Definitely something that has to be allowed rather than controlled.
    Its a lot like being an antenna with bad reception.

      +Maxwell hanson I've felt the flow state a couple of times and I think there's a way to trigger those episodes of awareness with deep concentration, something like meditation but aimed to art. I'm trying to find the unleashing drive that works for me. I might come back in a couple of months spreading all my epiphanies. :3

      I agree with you, because I've done the same thing and just let my hand do its movements being directed by my mind.

    Jason, you describe exactly what "the flow" is. Control and let go, then everything emerges. Imagination breaks the limit of knowledge and experience and inspire re-creation. It's like opening the boundaries between the individual body/mind and the energy we're part of. Just let the energy of life flow through us, become one with that energy until we feel awe and we are born. Then it hurts, so we know it's time to interrupt the flow, control again, and it's like dying. Until we'll be born again. It's a cycle one can learn to access better and better.

    The thing I love about Jason Silva is that he really gives you a different feeling behind every big idea out there. Even though no idea is actually subjected to its own feeling or emotion, it helps create and inspire new idea's. This is very important, Because I can bet you, if he started doing video's on some of the same ideas. But putting different feelings behind it, you would feel like your watching it all over again, and that its a brand new idea!
    Cheers! thanks for the Vid.

    I have come back to these videos just to say thank you. These videos, and ones you have made in the past have inspired me to such an amazing degree. I now know what I want to study, I now know who I want to be, and it was all from finding your videos and being struck by such.. awe inspiring ideas, it was almost like I had no choice in the matter. Thank you, Mr. Silva. You are an amazing human being.

      Artists Resource please explain letting go . I am very confused

    • @curioussoul6059
      @curioussoul6059 6 років тому

      I'm more confused on how to "get out of the mind"? I thought that I was a mesh of my body/mind/consciousness? In every experience I've had of this world there have been: this sensory neuron system that informs me (eyes, ears, tongue, etc), a matrix of interneurons (a brain with a "me" as the pilot), and the brain commands motor neurons (muscles) to do its bidding..
