My one and only gripe is the slide is tough to take off and on for cleaning. I got 2 pinky grip mags when I bought it so it fits in my hand much better now. Even at 30+ feet I can land all shots in a tight group.

I just found this video after purchasing a Bersa Thunder. 380 online. I haven't even received it yet, but I'm encouraged to see that two out of 4 of you choose the Bersa. I hope it will be a good gun for me. Thank you for the video!
I have 3 Bersa Thunder .380 pistols. My CCW of choice. Very similar to a Walther PPK/S which I also have. I like the Bersa better. The designer of the Bersa use to work for Walther. Made in Argentina, so it's Less expensive.

That's not true I took my blind cousin to a shooting range and it didn't matter which gun he use it was very difficult for him to hit a Target. So when people say some guns are more accurate than others I beg to differ
Had my Bersa 380 CC for a few years now and loving it Just feels good in my hand . I wish you could get the pinky rest mag for it but my exact model is too old
IMO the Sig P232 is the perfect carry 380. Super slim, smooth, classic looking, big enough to mitigate recoil a bit. Extremely accurate. Very high quality piece. Shame they quit making them.
@@John_Malloy ya but it's not out of a 7oz keltec or seecamp, these guns are heavy, to a fault, some models weigh like a pound, so that's why I find they absorb the recoil great The 92 is a huge pistol, I forget sometimes when I've been messing with glocks or revolvers and I would hold a 92 and just say holy shit this thing is huge, it was only 15round factory mags. Beretta always slacks when it comes to weight to capacity ratio if that's a thing, I just love em I have a little bobcat next to me that holds 9 rounds of 25 in the mag and one in the tip up, you cant say that's not cool, I like to collect beretta not as a self defense gun
@@BOB-wx3fq I agree with you. For me, the cheetah shoots like my smith model 60 3 inch revolver (loaded with 38 standard pressure) and they weigh about the same. I can live with that. It's super reliable, high capacity, and it shoots where you point it. That 3.9 inch barrel has decent ballistics as well. I will not be selling it anytime soon.
I own and carry the beretta 84f cheetah 380 acp and to me it shoots nicely, I don't feel the recoil like most people say, to me it's well made and vary accurate, it's the best 380acp I've ever shot and it's one I can shoot for hours, does not hurt as some would say.
So no one picked the gun that held 5 more rounds than all the others (Browning)! If you are going to have a mid-sized .380 instead of a pocket pistol, you might as well get the 13+1 of the Browning or go for the Bersa .380 PLUS with 15+1 as moonlighter6 pointed out. The double stack Bersa holds TWICE as much as most of the guns y'all tried with only a bit wider grip. I know not everyone is obsessed with ammo capacity, but 13+1 or 15+1 is a lot more than 7+1 or 8+1.
I bought a Bersa thunder combat about a year ago as my primary carry pistol. I looked at the standard and the plus and ended up going with the standard single stack version. My deciding factor was the weight difference when fully loaded. I also preferred the grip on the standard version. I don't envision ever having an extended shoot out so the 8+1 is perfect for my needs. If you prefer having the larger capacity (and the weight and bulk that goes with it) then that should be a factor for your choice but many people simply won't want to carry a high capacity firearm every day.
mopar0IIII0jeep I don’t envision a house fire, but it will feel better with insurance. Somethings are just worth having, when your life is involved! I carry a .25 cal Baby Browning, with a Bersa Plus, or my Beretta 84, for Backup. I love my Browning 1911 .380, but not enough capacity. Same for my Colt .380, and still my favorite, Sig 232.
Yes! And most folks do not know it. Good job for putting that out there. I have almost 100 pistols and I find it true. Beretta9MMUSA Sr. 👨🏻🚀👍🇺🇸💥💥💥🎥👽🫣.
Very surprised to hear people complain about the recoil from a 380, especially the guys. My daily is either a s&w .45 shield or my colt mark 5 series 80 in .45. I hunt deer/moose/bear with a .338 mag. Looking at the walther pk for my fiancé, she’s shot my s&w m&p 9 shield and wasn’t too keen of it. Hoping the 380 will suit her better
I carry the Bersa Thunder 380cc and the recoil is a little snappy, which surprised me because I used to carry the standard model Bersa Thunder 380 which is only slightly larger than the CC model it wasn't snappy at all. I understand that the blowback design is the culprit behind the snappy recoil, but it's not that bad. I shot a buddy of mine's m&p 40 shields and it's quite a nice shooter. It's kinda weird because the recoil was actually pretty light, in fact it was about the same as my Bersa Thunder 380cc.
My Bersa 380 cc seems a little harsher than my sig p365 with +p ammo. It’s the sharp impact transient of the blowback. The 9mm +p out of a sub compact has a much higher recoil impulse but it is spread out over more time so it more of a push.
Wow, that's awesome! I carry it most often for EDC. I love the size and I think 380 is adequate for self-defense. Other days I carry a Kimber Pro Carry II, 4 inch barrel in 9mm.

Im looking at getting one as a first handgun, daily carry how is the recoil for someone that has never really shot a handgun, would you recommend it as a first daily carry?
The barrel on the Bersa cc is 3.2”, and on the Beretta 85 and Browning BDA it’s 3.8” That is a big difference in small guns. The Bersa is lighter than those two as well. Slide weight could play a role.
I have two 380 pistols that are relatively comfortable to shoot. An older all-steel Bersa double-stack, with rubber grips. I believe it's a model 96 - predecessor to the Thunder-Plus. Also, a Spanish Star mini 1911-style pistol that is not a blow-back, but has a swinging-link like the original 1911. All other blow--back 380s I've tried ranged from tolerable to painful!
Goes to show that the most expensive gun isn’t always the best pick for someone. The BT 380 and PK 380 are the cheapest of the group. I actually think they are the better picks too. BT380 cc model for everyday carry and the Pk 380 for the range and home defense.
Them Thar Shorts is my color green , the one guy has the boy scout look , Kinda cool when you think demonstrate , or Teach , You'd have to have a set to actually dress that way. You'd stand out that's for sure , and if you actually knew what you were talking about , you'd win any contest , hands down . I have known 3 guy's that never ,ever , took off their work shirt , vacation ,nope. But all 3 of them knew their onions , they wanted people to know they were handy to have around. Sidney could fix a nuclear submarine if he had the funny papers to go with it. Claude was a genius , never finished 3rd grade . Worked every day of his life , he liked helping folks , never charged a dime . Kenny could take any car or truck , and do things , he was like a wizard , known far and wide , his daddy was on race teams shops , he grew up with a wrench in his hand and a gasket to chew on. That's a pretty good idea if you get a chance to drink a cold one and ponder on it . Peace .
I think that the FN BROWNING BDA .380 assembled by Beretta from 1977 to 1997 in Italy after agreements between the manufacturers is the best compromise for personal defense and concealed carry, with the 13+1 cartridges it is one of the best choices, I would prefer the blued version, double and single action, hammer decoy and optional safety and the guarantee of a Beretta product are the reality for the best safety in the personal defense sector 🥇. On mine I eliminated the magazine safety which I consider useless, and harmful in case of loss of the magazine you cannot fire a single shot by manually inserting the cartridge into the chamber! 😉👍. In practice it is an 84 BB with a different safety system, almost a miniature 92 SB.
I'm still wondering what makes aWalther PP Super in .380 Worth $1200 I'll stick with my Bursa. But then I don't actually carry a 380. I carry a glock 19 generation 5 with TLR7 light and a helloson 507C In 9 mm with 15 + 1 in in the same size package as a 380
Zenith MC14, good size, great trigger, 14rd double stack, and no need to summon ancient demons to get more mags. I have a Bersa as well, be my 2nd choice.
Browning BDA is essentially a stainless (& heavier) Beretta 85 BB (looks like you had an 85 FS - lighter aluminum). But BDA is beautiful. Racking the slide on the 232 when the hammer is down is a good hand strength exercise. Anyway, very good video; nice cameraderie. Where is this AZ, NM?
Hornady Critical Defense is what I use in mine. Ordinary white box rounds will do as well. If it goes BOOM, you'll likely get a chance to dis-engage from a bad situation. I added regular FMJ rounds because some jurisdictions or crooked lawyers might consider a more destructive round as 'intent to cause excessive harm or injury'.
I don't think that tea cup grip is working too well for he office manager. I hope she has another instructor help her somewhere, sometime. I vote for the Bersa Thunder Plus 15+1 But I'm sure those Berretta's are nice if you have the right hand shape so its not hurting as it does some folks. There is now a new Light rack S&W 380 and a Light rack Ruger Security 380 10+1/15+1 and they are compact size like the 80 Berreta's and Bursa Thunders not micro like the LCP's That Ruger looks really good to me.

Loved the video, thanks a lot! Got some of those, and yes just like some guys said below, the Bersa 380 plus is great. About to buy a BDA, but a blued one, wish I could find a SS/Nickel one! Didn't know nor wasn't expecting it to be a kicker though! What surprises me the most is that Glock doesn't sell the G25 (it's a G19 but in .380) in the USA to non-LEOs. It's kinda silly, because if a LEO's gonna carry a G19 sized gun as a backup gun, it's gonna be either in 9mm, .40 S&W or .357 Sig. (G19, G23 & G32 respectively) - or another brand, of course, but given the size, not a .380 for sure. Keep up the great work! +1 and subbed!
Most of you are starting in single action, you should be starting in double action. Most of the pistols are double/Single. Your not going to carry in single action so start with double.
Both the ladies and the first guy shot the sig better than any other gun including their own. FWIW. Last guy shot the Bersa the best. Funny they all shot other people's guns better than their own except maybe the Browning

Peace .
It scares me on how she holds the gun.
Shut up
Yeh that gave me a bit of anxiety.
The busa plus it's the best 380
The office manager handles the recoil the same as I do with a 22 lr revolver!
Nice shooting.👍
I'm still wondering what makes aWalther PP Super in .380 Worth $1200 I'll stick with my Bursa. But then I don't actually carry a 380. I carry a glock 19 generation 5 with TLR7 light and a helloson 507C In 9 mm with 15 + 1 in in the same size package as a 380
I own all these plus a couple more. For me the Beretta is the best by quite a bit.
@Charles F Perez Great choice
Zenith MC14, good size, great trigger, 14rd double stack, and no need to summon ancient demons to get more mags. I have a Bersa as well, be my 2nd choice.
I'm having a tough time deciding?
Do a video about the Glock 380 and Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 380EZ.
The Teacup grip? What a world of difference they would have had if they changed the drip.I mean grip.
hitting 50% of the time is not good they need more practice hickock 45 would put you all to shame my thought with every gun there
Nobody asked you 🖕🏽
Nice spot, where is it?
Santa Teresa, NM
It's the baby rock for me i also like the PK
Browning BDA is essentially a stainless (& heavier) Beretta 85 BB (looks like you had an 85 FS - lighter aluminum). But BDA is beautiful. Racking the slide on the 232 when the hammer is down is a good hand strength exercise. Anyway, very good video; nice cameraderie. Where is this AZ, NM?
I believe that she shot the P232 and the Bersa the best.
Was she shooting from 50 yards?
A Beretta model 70 would fit in that group and probably out shoot them all, except the Bersa
Um..nope
how far away are they firing from? Seems like a large enough target sheesh.
Are you guys shooting in Tucson? I live there. Great video. I just bought the Beretta 85.
What self defense ammo you guys recommend for the Bersa Thunder 380?
Hornady Critical Defense is what I use in mine. Ordinary white box rounds will do as well. If it goes BOOM, you'll likely get a chance to dis-engage from a bad situation.
I added regular FMJ rounds because some jurisdictions or crooked lawyers might consider a more destructive round as 'intent to cause excessive harm or injury'.
God only gives each of us two eyes , I would suggest safety glasses!👍
God gave you a mouth as well, learn when to use it
I don't think that tea cup grip is working too well for he office manager.
I watch this video thinking the Bursa would win because of Share value and then it wins or Ties on performance I think you can tell which gun I already own a bursa
You own a “Bersa” but can’t even spell it correctly... 🤣🤣🤣 wtf is a “bUrsa”. Gonna go out on a limb and say that you’re lying, and don’t own shit
Eye protection is a must!!!!
VERY GOOD NO COLT 380 AUTO
What’s the name of the song in the first part? Nice review, mixed thoughts on the round but some interesting firearms.
It's an original score that I made for a corporate video I did a few years ago. There's no name.
OMG the safety police here are driving me nuts !!! People you shoot how you want to and Everybody else shoot the way they want to ! Glad to see yall shooting and not driving her crazy about the {correct} hold, she will probably just stop shooting if you correct her to much. Trust me they know the risk !
the walther will slide slap you,r hand, i got rid of mine for the sig p232
Shouldn't you be wearing eye protection when shooting steel?!?
Shouldn’t you be wearing a tampon when on your period?
+1 and subbed!
i've never shot a 380 that i felt was a "kicker"... If you want to shoot target might as well go with the heavier pistols
Nice guns, but why is there no Glock 42?
None of us own one! Ha. I shot a compact Glock in .45 ACP this weekend. I found it to be a little small and heavy on the recoil.
Do you guys have a patreon page? I know ammo is not cheap and you guys do nice shooting videos. I wouldn’t mind supporting you guys.
Send me a message on our Facebook page Facebook.com/MyGunDiary
Are you guys in the Phoenix area?
No, we are in El Paso, Texas. However, I used to live in the Phoenix area from 2004-2008... does that count? ;)
My Gun Diary absolutely. It just looked like a place I shoot at.
I knew you wasn't in AZ due to lack of Saguaro
Neuvo Mexico????
Southern New Mexico, yes. Near El Paso.
@@MyGunDiary I went to Mayfield (in Las Cruces) I knew the terrain looked like the Land of Entrapment
I have a Legion P238/ Beretta Cheetah/ Tanfoglio Gt380....
No Safety glasses on or hearing protection.... She must be a tough one
she did have earplugs in, so there's that anyways. strange in this day and age to see practicing shooters without eye protection
Slow motion at beginning makes my head hurt.
My Bersa needs work and Bersa dont want to take it. Cant find no oone to work on it. Its a $350 gun maybe thats why ?
Im Argentine and i bought it for emotional reasons .it sucks
Was that D. Archie?
Hey ;partner, a word of advise hit a couple miss a couple is probably due to forgeting to concentrate on the front sight.
Hey partner... spell check *advice, *forgetting
People complain that the .380 cartridge is "too weak" for self protection.
BUT.........
Talk to me after you've taken two or three hits to the chest and abdomen!
Yeah, right!
Too weak my ass!
We never see American videos talking about the Glock 25 380ACP. Only Brazilian and Mexican channels. A review by Americans would be interesting.
