The idea of Lucifer being a fantastic singer fits perfectly with his portrayal in the Bible, as he was the Angel of Worship, so his singing had to be heavenly.
There is also the whole thing of him being depicted like David Bowie on occasion, same way Constantine was styled after Sting.
I mean there is also the whole, I sold my soul to devil to become a singer. Common myth across America is the river boat vagrant. Singing the blues, a gift from the devil.

I have to admit, the part where his Dad finally told him He loved him, that He was proud of who he'd become, hit home for me. My dad and I had a very, very strained relationship, and then he came down with terminal cancer. When a person has hospice overseeing their palliative care at home, one of the rules is that they cannot be left by themselves, so I would sit with him while my mom and brother went on some errand or other. Hearing him tell me out of the blue one day that I was the best daughter in the world, and that he was so proud of the woman I had become...that's all I ever wanted to hear...to know that he was proud of me, that he loved me...that he was proud to have me as his daughter...that meant more than all the gold in the world. That's all *any* child wants to hear...that our parents love us, the they're proud of us..we're hardwired to seek their approval, even when we're adults. Knowing that he left this world at peace with the woman I'd become, gave *me* a sense of closure.
Wonderful that you had that moment. Some never do . . . . Be well!
I'm glad that after years of a tough relationship with him, you both were finally able to make peace when he told you how proud of you he was. I also had a difficult relationship with my dad growing up and after much searching and eventually accepting Christ personally, I started to understand the truth of God's love for us if we choose it. I was then able to start having deeper conversations with my dad that helped lead to healing from events of the past.
I just found this thread so I’m a bit late. But while I really liked this part of the show I never got that chance with my father . He past without me hearing that although we had plenty of chances. Two days before he died I told him how much I loved him and was proud to call him my father, was never ashamed of him. He never said anything like that back to me so I just figured that he didn’t like what I did with my life. Never proud of me joining the military, never proud I beat alcoholism, nothing. I was in my 50’s when he died so apparently I never did anything right to him. Granted I did have 1 divorce under my belt but have been married to same woman now for years, didn’t care for her either. So after he passed I decided screw him cause I was at peace with my life. Granted we all have done things we’re not proud of but learn to live with it, that’s just the way life is. I guess he was just my cross to bear until I threw it down and walked away from it. I don’t dwell on it now thankfully. Sorry for the rant and extremely glad you had that kind of closeness and ending. Have a great week.
Damn, sorry for your loss and I'm glad you got some closure!
in my opinion its not healthy to seek the approval of anyone

This is probably my favorite interpretation of God especially the relationships he has with his kids.
3:41 Look at Lucifer being all embarrassed, "Not in front of Chloe!!!"🤣
When luci wakes up on the couch he has Michael's hair style lol
Tom said in an interview that's Michael's hair bc it's a fast, easy transition when they switch which character they're filming.
@@authenticanickov that makes alot of sense thanks for that haha
Messy bed hair?
I just noticed he miracle made the drill bit 4:47
Fr. I just noticed that
I love how god says to almost everyone hey that’s my son like he’s really proud of him in a fatherly way if luci was a child still 😂😁❤️❤️
Legend says they wanted to get Morgan Freeman, but he was too busy to play himself in a TV show.
they couldn’t get him considering in s2 lucifer sarcastically said to linda “and my dad is morgan freeman?”
I cannot begin to fathom how cathartic it must be for lucifer to hear his dad say he loves him and is proud of him, had me in tears
Lucifer: "Did you mean to do that?"
God: "Of course I meant to put him back together!"
Lucifer: that look that shouts 'You *know* that's not what I meant!'
MFW I realize that God let Dan remember being blown up and put back together.
Damn I actually started tearing up at that last scene. I know what its like to want that affection for years from your father and not get it. My dad finally broke down and told me he loved me when i was 33. Grown man or not your gonna cry in that situation.
* god , already knowing lucifer is gonna barge in with a souffle* ;
wait. that's illegal
"A lot of judging goes on in there, you'd like that"
Amazing
SamaEL~ that got me- it sounded like he was singing a song (1:22)
5:24 the best one by far!!
And on a side note dad, these eyes are irreplaceable so don't damage them if you don't want the darkness lasting forever xD
The end of this video really got me.. what a journey that show was
God gives me “are you winnin’ son?” Dad vibes
Still a bit weird to see The Presence, THE most powerful beeing in DC Comics, as a Dad 😅
agreed but it’s good shows that no matter how powerful a being is they still have some relateable trait same with real life situations no matter how high the person is in stacture their still relateable somehow someway.😁
God is the most powerful being anywhere. If there is such a thing, which I think there is ("think" key word, it's not faith for me, I'm a Deist).
@@neutrino78x Of course there's faith. Deists still believe there's a Creator God, just that it doesn't interfere in its creation. That's Deism 101.
@@EmptyMan000 yes, but we don't get there through faith. We get there through reason.
And I would argue most Catholics get there through reason as well.
We hear way too much about "faith" when it's not needed; there's plenty of evidence of God all around us, it's just not objective or scientific proof (it's a matter of opinion).
Point being, both points of view (God or no God) are equally valid because you're talking about something that IS NOT KNOWABLE while inside of this material plane of existence. The concept of God makes no testable predictions and neither does the concept of the absence of a God.
The observed universe would be the same in both cases.
It's just really annoying that whenever people talk about the subject you have to have these people come on and say you're irrational, etc. as if they're talking to a fundamentalist...while I agree about fundamentalists (people who think the universe and the earth are only 6000 years old, no evolution, flat earth in many cases, etc), they're a fringe case and there's no reason to assume someone is a fundamentalist just because they said they think there is a God out there in some form. So we really shouldn't have to have this conversation every time but for some reason we do and it's really annoying and stupid.
"Lucifer, your inner detective is showing" that's my favorite.
