I’m just getting into sewing and know nothing about it yet. I have a basic WalMart sewing machine. Can it sew through thick material like this or do I need a different type of machine? Thanks!

Yes you would be able to sew through faux leather and cork fabric with your machine. We recommend a size 80/12 Universal needle and a teflon foot so the fabric won't stick to your foot. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for asking your question! The strap width is 2" and then folded in half to 1" to fit the 1" slider buckle. Happy Sewing :)

Why would you make a tutorial for a strap with a raw edge? When making bags we like them to look neat and professional.. we dont want our makes to look like we couldn't be bothered with the small details. This is rubbish imo.
