Marvelous! Absolutely brilliant!! You have helped me tremendously! If only I had found you sooner! I quit sewing bags because I would get so frustrated. I happened upon your videos during a search for faux leather bags and wah-la here you are! I wonder why you quit making videos. You are very skilled and an excellent teacher and your videos are concise, to the point, with excellent tricks and tips!!
To get your threads to come to the back easier for tying off, move the back thread in a circular motion. The front thread just pops right through. Seams Legit does it and it works! It’s Amazing lol. Thanks for your tips too!!!I love learning new things 🧐 Your strap connectors are Gorgeous!
Wow, I am not a crafty person and I just bought a regular handheld bag but I would love it to have a crossbody option and I found your video. You make using a sewing machine exciting, I haven't sewed since high school homec but I traded with classmates and they would do my sewing and I would tell them stories of my boyfriend they all had a crush on lol. So I didn't learn much. I think I'll go to a sewing class and have fun projects. 😀 Thanks for your video.
Whenever I need strap connector help, this is where I come. Thank you for a great tutorial. I recently saw a tutorial with a hidden connector on a fabric bag. Have you used that method? With your style of presentation I am sure you could make it look do able!!😊😊
Thank you. That was very informative and I learned a couple of good tips which I am going to try. I appreciate it and I do agree that it turned out perfect!
Great tutorial. Hopefully you're still taking requests . . . is the process the same for fabric bags; like denim projects? Any tips on adding rivets to denim/fabric connectors that I could add to my own designed bag?
Just came across this video after months of watching sewing how-to's since my inspiration to sew. What a well done video, and the quality of your sample. You make it look easy, though not ! I especially was amazed that it was done on a Singer 237. I don't own one but was impressed how it performed. Looks like from your links you often use #16 needles. What about thread, what did you use for this particular project and is that the size and type you use mostly. Thanks again Bryan
I keep asking when I see these great looking professional looking bags what thread are you using so far I haven’t gotten an answer I saw some 3 ply nylon on Amazon that can be used in domestic machine with a bigger eyed needle like 120/20 or possibly 18. Any advice ?
The back of my presser foot gets raised up when I pivot. Hmmmm Also, your thread looks heavier than what I have, what type of thread do you use? Thank you!
Yes for the Rosie bag what I show here is the side panel. I have the pattern piece clipped on my vinyl panel. The cut out is printed on the pattern piece. I cut it out so I can use it as a gauge as to where the strap connectors are supposed to be attached.
You are a breath of fresh air. Excellent tutorial. Easy to follow, gentle voice and no background music. Thank you. I saved this tutorial.
Brilliant! Somebody hasn’t insisted on using a Teflon or walking foot! ......AND has done a BEAUTIFUL job 👏👏😘

Would it be possible to make a video showing how you connect your straps to the bag? Do you use triglides to give the bag a customizable length?

The back of my presser foot gets raised up when I pivot. Hmmmm
Also, your thread looks heavier than what I have, what type of thread do you use? Thank you!
I use Coats & Clark dual duty thread, it's just the basic thread. I've never had an issue with using it for my bag making.
Grear tips. Why the paper was that the pattern piece? Thx
