Why would you even consider to campaign to free a CHILD murderer??? She murdered a little 10 year old girl? This child cried and pleaded for her life! Why would she deserve freedom when that young child didn't get to live?
In all fairness, she soon changed her dramatically mind when Hindley admitted her involvement in these awful crimes, and claims that she was manipulated by Hindley in prison and fell for her lies after initially not wanting anything to do with her. HOWEVER, having said that (and maybe it's because I thankfully never had the chance to meet Hindley and hear her side, therefore no risk of her manipulating me), it still leaves a very bad taste in my mouth because surly it should have been obvious to anyone that Hindley knew what the fate of poor Lesley Ann was, and she was clearly heard on the tape recording shouting at her. I'd like to think I'd never have been manipulated by that bitch, but also hope I'd have more common sense to realise straight away that she knew what was happening to those children and would never have fallen for her lies. Thank God very few listened to Janie Jones and Longford when they were campaigning for her release, Jones would have let a woman she later called ''the devil'' walk free. I hope both Brady and Hindley are burning in hell.
I have zero sympathy for this woman when said she cried when she realised Hindley conned her yet not one thought of the victims families and how they must've felt and what they were going through. She didn't even offer an apology to them which frankly she should because her campaigning probably caused those families more pain and stress than they were already going though! And surely the biggest clue to the real Hindley is that tape of her abusing Lesley Ann Downey! Her supporters were blind and stupid do gooders that Hindley used for her own bid for freedom. If they wanted to do good how about offering help and support to the families of the victims instead of the devil!
In her book, ''The Devil and Miss Jones'', she goes to great lengths to convince the reader she hated Hindley on sight, was drawn in and manipulated by her. She changed her mind when she confessed to her involvement in the murders. It's an interesting read, but like you, I really don't think I would've ever been able to look at Myra Hindley never mind talk too her, I'm almost sure of that.

The real Hindley was there for everyone to see but it comes down to the fact that people didn't want to believe a woman could be capable of such a heinous act. In fact people still struggle today to accept a woman is capable of such horrific things. Thats probably how she manipulated them because society generally believes that women are emotional and maternal and aren't as susceptible as men are towards violence which is sexist and total bollocks as Myra Hindley and later Rose West proved wrong with what they did.
