Paying respect to the real OGs
Amazing! Truly, absolutely amazing. And the first time we see you having a sweat!! EPIC!!
what the sigma
what about LeeTav? :) i remember his daftpunk LED Bass covers from way before i even slap
Where the guitar solo at?
Amazing!
Now, I have one question:
Would you four be able to compose a track for a quatuor of basses ?
The aces of bass ? The four bassists of the musicalypse ?
I don't know, I went on a tangent, I just want to hear bass talent ^^
OMG! It's such an honor! Thank you Davie you're the best!!🙏🥰
Wicked bass playing dude.
Big fan of yours as well @MikiSantamaria! You are such an amazing and humble person! Keep being amazing 🙌🏼
Sounded great!
❤Davie504❤ Bass Boss❤ That was fantastic!
Incredible skills!
What a funky great (and unexpectet) surprise to find out that Miki and David, two bassists I really admire, were also part of it! :) I was truly honored to be included among such talented musicians (love you guys
You're a legend!!! Thanks for your kind words! Likewise, the admiration is mutual! And yeah, it would be awesome if we could share the stage one day! :D
Slava! You are my bass hero. Thank you for inspiring me for over a decade.
Slava, bass community needs more videos from you on youtube. I still watch your old videos every now and then and it was such a pleasure to see you on this channel!
Man I would sacrifice my first born child to the slap gods for a few new videos from you. I hope you’re doing great, we miss you!
More BALALAIKA BASS pls 🙏
I have to say: David Caraccio (davidsinrocks) inspired me to buy an audio interface and a camera and start uploading videos on UA-cam in 2011. My first videos were bass covers too. Viaceslav's videos were a big inspiration too. And then a few years later this guy called Davie504 arrived, beat me in a bass battle and made me quit. Just kidding 🤣🤣🤣 You're all legends ❤️ thanks for sharing your love for the bass with all of us!
6:48 Because of his last upload being 3 years ago, it's very joyful to see Viaceslav Svedov SLAP THE BASS again! 👏
My idols coming together! 🔥
you're amazing!!!
YAY!!! JULIA!!!!
heyy Julia you're one of my inspiration on playing bass🎸❤️
Damn, the nostalgia is real! I remember watching DavidSinRocks when I was a beginner back in 2009, him and MarloweDK were the biggest bass channels at that time. Then I stumbled across Viaceslav Svedov's videos and was blown away (the first battle you did with him is still one of my favorite bass videos on UA-cam). Shortly after discovering Viasceslav in 2011, I stumbled across your channel, thanks to the video response feature back then. For me, you and Viaceslav were the ones that inspired me to make my own channel. Needless to say, your battle with Miki a few years later was incredible too!
UA-cam was so different back then but you've been killing it from the start. It's still hard to believe I've watched you grow from 4k subs to 13 mio subs but I'm happy to have witnessed this journey. Keep it up and "stay funky" bro! 😄🎸
Hope one day you get your flowers too as a bass OG. 🙏
@@ChungiteApostle fr i felt that tommy should've been in the battle as well
All the youtube bass legends in one comment section! Love you, Tommy.
This video shall go down in Bass History.
It really felt like they were an old band reuniting for one last performance together.
David Caraccio's original Channel was Davidsinsrock. His was in a band that was bass centered, hugely influenced by RHCP. I've been following his channel since his first year.
deep kick i believe it was called
David inspired me to pick up the bass ever since I saw his RHCP covers. Always wanted one of those aluminum basses he was sponsored with.
This has got to be one of the best bass videos on this channel from recent memory. That battle was epic on every level.
I'm gonna cry, I literally started playing because of David Caraccio and grew up as a musician with all these guys, this is incredible
You can both see and hear the influence in Davies playing style and tone
I can't express how happy I am to see this. I started playing bass about 15 years ago because of David Caraccio. He sparked a lifelong passion for music for which I'm eternally grateful. The amount of talent in this video is immense. It's a great feeling to see you show the founders love. Really, really great video, Davie. It reminds me of a beautiful time in my life. Thank you.
brooo me too! I was actually gonna buy a guitar but I accidentally stumbled upon his Can't Stop cover and it changed EVERYTHING, I wouldn't be a bassist without David Caraccio (davidsinrocks at the time)
Yesssss omg! 🥵 Thank you so much Davie, that was truly epic!
I'm really proud of what you've done ❤
- davidsinrocks
you're epic
when i couldnt afford lessons anymore you along with 4 other funky monks became my teacher. Much love David
Very spicy playing
Epico
La légende !
This was an awesome idea for a video! Not only did I get to learn about three bassists that I'd personally never heard of BUT we were also treated to some fantastic bass playing AND a quadruple bass-off with a really cool ending.
It's incredible how it's possible to hear and identify their techniques combined at your playing... You really absorbed their knowledge and passion.
The iphone ringtone at 5:51 is SICK with that bass under it, wish I could hear the whole thing.
Me tooooo! Thought I was the only one hahaha I want to hear the whole thing!! ! Hopefully it comes out in any video of memes of Davie
Yes me too! I found the full version on Charles Berthoud's channel
The original is iPhone Ringtone Meets SLAP BASS by CharlesBerthoud :)
^^^^^^^ glad someone else recognized it

We need a bass cover of the piano song he always plays lol
@moosemafia1659 we're finally landing, I think it's called. I would have absolutely lost it if the video had started with that opening chord, but as a note on the base
Man I remember watching David's (Caraccio) videos back in 2007/2008 and wanting to play bass. Great video about the OG's bass players from UA-cam!
Wow David ! What a video !
At the very same time, when the can't stop cover dropped, I realised David Caraccio was living just down the block..
I took my courage and contacted him. He gave me private lessons for over 2 years and sold be one magic bass :)
It's worth knowing that David Caraccio is such a sweet human. He is so talented and so natural. I have so much respect for him.
For the bass lovers, I can with certainty assume that you are missing something if you don't give a listen to David's projects. This man can surely groove.
Take care 🤌🤌
And next, you battle the UA-cam bassists of the future...
Danny! I see you, mate! Love your videos!
Danny v Davie. Make it happen Sapko!!! Love your work mate.

I'm so hyped that Viaceslav Svedov didn't stopped playing bass! He was my hero (and still is) when i first discovered UA-cam those 14 years ago. If you're reading this, you're a significant part of my (don't wanna say childhood because i was just 15 years old) but yeah.
I started my bass cover channel 10 years ago and there's so many OG channels that still upload to this day that inspired me to do a channel. Learned to play by myself watching covers and tutorials on youtube. Today alot of folks tell me they learn from covers i did as well, it's a torch i feel should keep going forward. Great video.
Duuuude, what?! This was insane! I used to watch David and Viaceslav regularly back in the day. Massive props for getting them all together. Great to see they're still as legendary as they were!
bruh, this is why you are on top. bringing these guys back....genius. mind blown. this is the high bar for youtube content
What a great service you do for all bassists world-wide!!!
Thanx a lot for this video!!! Vyacheslav or simply Slava Svedov (pronounced Shvedov) is a good old friend of mine. He's from Vilnius (Lithuania), lives in Cologne (Germany) and for many years he's playing bass balalaika in the band "The Jancee Pornick Casino". We get to know each other back in 2003 when he was the frontman of his prog metal band "WaySide Peaks" (they wrote songs with lyrics by Edgar Allan Poe). He was playing the lead guitar, so that it was impossible to follow the flight of his fingers. Then it occurred to him to master the bass guitar, which he did. Then he got tired of that too. Well, he's mastering drums for several years now )))))
Remember watching David Caraccio around 2008, I was blown away. He is one of the best Ive ever seen
this format is actually insanely good
What a new format :0
OMG!
You did great, gentlemen! Previously, I only knew David Caraccio because he was probably the only one who played the covers I was learning - Larry Graham, Robert Randolph's band, or did tests of bass effects that I was interested in. I respect the guy a lot! I'll check out the others too, because I hear they're worth it!
Davie, I love that you continue to share and offer respect to those who have inspired you. Proud of you. Take care!
I love the respect he shows for the people that came before and inspired him. These are some serious bass players right here. If you made bass videos on early youtube it’s a testament that you absolutely love bass
This is an awesome video 😍 I played bass aged 12 till I was about 22, and I wasn’t too bad at it, but then life got in the way and I stopped - it was one of David Caraccio’s vids about 4 years ago got me to pick it back up (after a 15 year absence) - he’s such an awesome player. I now play bass full time for a living and I’m more obsessed than I was as a teen (and I practice properly now too!) UA-cam bassists are the absolute single reason I took the bass up again, the goosebumps I got from David C’s vids were like nothing else and I knew I had to start playing again. Thanks to all of you for an epic vid 🙇♂️ 🤩
Wow, I admire all of them. They were a huge influence and inspiration when I was learning bass.
Wow, you always surprise me with your humor, but this video was excellent, I was amazed by the sudden apparition of the three OG UA-cam bassists and you playing, great great video, thanks!
Interesting change of content for sure
🤣😂🤣 O.M.G.
I SLAPPED Like so hard that I wound up on my own ass! (which is where I belong since I'm a drummer!)
This is an incredible piece of work & very cool of you to give these dudes the shout out they so well deserve! It is obvious where your inspiration came from. This is another EPIC video & one of your very best! Really, reeeeally cool!
The smiles and happiness that these guys have in their faces is amazing. I loved this video, so much talent!
Absolutely boss upload. Love it.
One of your best videos so far !!!
I think that it was the best video by FAR, and I'm a huge fan of davie, started slapping the bass during the pandemy because of him and I'm now addicted to music in general
This video gave me the feels. David was one of the first channels I followed on UA-cam. Great to see the big collab.
Man, I still remember when i first watched the video of “Your momma” played by David (at the time Davidsinrocks) and Deep Kick on Schoolwave 2010.
Man, I was shocked, so good!
Hey Davie I’m a huge fan, I hope you see this one, I’ve been battling a eye condition stemming from a rare skin disease I got when I was 8 called toxic epidermal necrolosys syndrome that’s causing me to go blind, so in the hopes I get big enough I’ve started doing yt and TikTok teaching guitar and trying to raise awareness and grow big enough to get my eyes treated overseas someday, would appreciate it if you could offer some advice! Keep up the good work
good luck with that and take care!
@@artsalsa7981 thank you legend
viaceslav one sounds like it could be a doom soundtrack. amazing
David Caraccio really inspired me ! So excited to see u guys together!
This style of video is one of your best, honestly. Love the battles and how you feature other artists and play with them!
Epico! Fantastic video, phenomenal playing. Really enjoyed this one. Thanks Davie.
Bro could bring back John Entwistle from the grave just to have a bass battle with him, then send him back immediately after beating him.🤘🔥
As someone who follows you for a long time and loved the bass battles (I even commented that out in one of your videos), it's really good to see them back again. Thanks for it. That was EPIC.
I've watched 1000s of videos on UA-cam but you've got my 4th ever like. What you do to develop a genuinely wholesome community around music is wonderful. I love how you lift people alongside you and it's commendable.
Great to see peer respect. Amazing talent.
THAT'S SO COOL. To this day David Caraccio's cover of Look Alive by Incubus is one of my favourite bass video of all time. When I started playing bass years ago I dreamt some day I could play it (no I can not :
David Caraccio on thumbnail he still makes regular videos discovered him when i searched for rhcp bass covers
I became a bassist after watching your videos almost ten years ago, and many of the videos you've mentioned are indeed hardwired into my brain. I've become a great player now, having fun funking with many people, and it's very heartwarming to see you jam together with icons of my teenage years (including you) :)
Davie504 is the most talented 14 year old child I've ever seen
🤣
I thought he was 12
One of the coolest vids you've made so far ❤
The bass battle was EPIC for sure! You really made them room to shine on and show their skill and talent. It was amazing when everyone was playing and grooving hard together. Very nice video!
i have been following David for the past 7 years and it finally happened ! Seeing you playing bass together soooooo coooool.
Amazon vidéo i really lire the concept !!!! Thank you

Major collaboration.
Everyone carried their weight and gave the music different edges. *So well played* to you all.
This was a truly great video and the playing was amazing!
My David 504❤❤❤ much love from Nigeria
Epic Bass Battle of the History
Easily the most epic video you ever made! All of your main inspirations are also my inspirations through all of this years playing bass.
That was one truly epic bass battle!! The different tones from all four of you were insane! I was loving the sound from one bass when the next would kick in with something very different but equally amazing!
Holy heck bassist number 2 has some serious skill!
Number 3 have incredible timing and groove.
Number 1 slaps like he has two thumbs! Amazing :O
EDIT: OMG UA-cam BASS GOD BATTLE FUUUUUUUUUU
wtf Davie504 turned into SunnyV504
This was so cool! I really loved learning about these influences on your style. It always blows me away how many incredible musicians fly under the radar
really enjoyed listening ❤ thank you for this video!!! 😍🎶
All of the bass players that inspired me to develop my technique in the early years brought together, that’s a dream 🥲
I remember it was 2010 and I had been playing for 4 years but I was stuck playing and listening only to punk music. Then I started opening to different music and I discovered by chance Davidsinrocks on UA-cam, first with a Maximum the Hormone cover and I was mind blown. Then thanks to him I discovered RHCP and I learned how to slap watching his videos! Shortly after I also discovered Santamaria and Svedov exactly with those same videos (and especially Desert Eagle by Svedov that was a real life changer). So thank you so much everyone for this awesome collab, that really brought me back to the best years of my life 🥲
People who watch this in 2027😂
Bros already commenting for the future

Wow, what a groovy and beautiful battle! To bring old youtubers together for a video is just an other level!
This is a really cool video. Glad to see you back to playing bass.
Thanks for bringing em together. So good to see em again. These guys have been such a big inspiration starting back in 2010. Since I had a very slow internet connection, I used to download their n watch em again n again to learn their parts. Iam sure they would have had alot more views if we had better internet. 😅 Thanks David.
Excellent idea, great playing, happy happy. Thanks
Insane! Loved every bit of it! Keep them coming, Davie! ❤
This is one of your best videos!! Amazing!!
Amazing bass battle! Wonderful video!
The head-bopping and the smile of DavidSinRocks is still there. I remember watching his videos back then. What an icon!
