Thanks for mentioning your zone several times. Helps so much when one is trying to figure out how to manage plants and more of UA-cam gardeners should follow your example.
Actually I brought this up to another channel I was watching and I got a response back that she only gardens for herself. I was disappointed. Some of her subscribers tried to correct her comment but it was too late I quit watching her.
Hi Jacqueline, good information on the heuchera plants. Now I know I need to water them more. When I mulch do I cover the crown or will that smother it?
Great information Jaqueline, I’ll definitely be following your advice. I have one that I want to move. Is it too late to do that, or should I leave it where it is till spring? Zone 3 Manitoba 🇨🇦👏🍁
In zone 3, pretty much nothing survives in a pot through the winter. I once had a mugo pine in a pot (for 30 years) and it did fine through a Nova Scotia winter, sitting out on my deck, zone 5 to 6. Moved to Alberta, zone 3, and it died immediately in the winter. Tried also burying one potted little crab apple, under a major snowbank (because snow is supposed to insulate right) and it died too. Zone 3 is tough.
Thank you so much! such a very helpful info and tips Jacqueline.

Sweet! I ignored google, it seemed counter productive, I have a 3 year old i got from bare root. She is huge in pots
Yes their information is so general with no account for climate or weather. I am finding google information cannot be trusted anymore.
Thank You!
Your very welcome glad you found it helpful.
Love heucheras! Just got a stash of them 😊.
Sweet they look fantastic mass planted so many different colours.
I let the leaves that fall down from my maple tree stay on all winter until spring. They help to insulate them from the cold. Bonny
Great labor saving tip!

I am moving mine this weekend just water in well.
@@creatingmygarden Ok great, I was wanting to move this weekend as well ! 👏
@@peggy-ann1961 good time weather seems to be stable for a at least couple more weeks.
I've also heard you can tip the pot on the side so ice water doesn't collect in the roots and rot throughout the winter (zone 5-6ish).

That’s a good idea worth trying.
