    I bought mine almost 2 years ago. Spent 3 hours fiddling around and got it on the road with few issues. I've been cycling for many years so it wasn't a mystery, but Ihad never assembled a bike before. Still, no real problems, but i did have to tap two poorly threaded screw holes for the rear fender. The Frame is from the same factory as the Aventon level, IMO. Exactly the same. The tri-bungee is a joke. Snapped the first time U used it, but maybe I was asking too much from it. VERY happy with it. And, it doesn't look like a circus bike.

    Be more careful when assembling the quick release on the front wheel. The extension lever should be pointing up or back, never to the front.

    If I didn't already have the Magicycle (got early for 1299) I would definitely buy this

      That's funny you mentioned Magicycle. I bought one too when it was $1300. And I'm going to replace it with the 700 Series.

    grease the front hub, align the wheels, takes more time to clip the zip ties than assembly.

      I'd say most ebike Motors are loud when free spinned unless they are torque sensors. Overall, this is by far the nicest ebike we've reviewed under $2,000.

    Super good looking entry-level 28mph eBike, but that COLOR reminds me of death. Meaning on a cloudy, gray day, on a dark gray street one would be pretty much invisible on that ugly gray bike. Just awful for a bike color. Has “hit me” written all over it, unfortunately.

    In your video, while riding, the bike sounded very noisy. A fairly loud whining noise. Are all e bikes noisy?

    Did your version have the newest bafang motor or the shingyi? Not sure if that’s spelled correctly. I’ve read that the newest components from about April 2022 have seen some fairly decent upgrades over previous years/iterations. I’m looking for a bike I can use to get to/from work ~30 miles/day and have been trying to find comparisons to the rad city 5 plus and a couple aventon models.

    Great video! I appreciate the honest review. I do have to ding Ride1up on bike assembly. It is a joke! The average consumer (me) doesn't want to mess with such a horror show. Ride1up needs to watch some Aventon videos on how to properly ship a bike.

    If Ride1Up didn’t mention to you before pressing the buy button that you’d have to put the entire back together than that is just awful. Most aren’t interested in putting an entire bike together after receiving their purchase, and some can’t, so that means an additional cost and time that leaves a bad taste in the purchasers mind.

    • @Andrew-vt4jt
      @Andrew-vt4jt 2 роки тому +3

      They mention there is assembly required on the site. However, I doubt most people read the whole page.
      Their new bikes will come with the forks installed.
      Overall, I don't mind setting it up because it is by far the highest quality ebike we have reviewed for under $2000.
      Local shops should put it together for $75-$150, so it still stays under $2k if you pay for assembly.
      For me, I'm handy enough that I'd rather save money and get premium parts.

    • @thisspotrules3631

      If you can't follow simple instructions and install a front fork and wheel(super easy), you shouldn't be riding a bike. Bikes require maintenance. Learning to assemble things is important.
